Critical must lose game next Sunday
JimKellyTryouts replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People do realize that this draft is loaded with DL talent (aka what we're not looking for) and very few guys worthy of top 10 picks on offense (aka what we need)? All the other teams mentioned above except for Arizona will more than likely be taking defense so we probably won't have to compete with other teams for OT Jonah Williams or whichever WR we'd want to grab. -
Prediction...McCoy retires at end of the year.

No Edmunds - Not Good At All

As a whole he played well, but his missed tackle on James White on 3rd and 11 when down 12-6 (eventually 18-6) was a back breaker.- 40 replies

Look at the bright side of all this

My sleazy method of buying tickets in the 300s, scouting out open seats in the 100s, then darting that way after a period/quarter will be all that much easier this winter...maybe not for the Sabres if we can get some consistency -

I'm sitting up in the 300s so I won't have range (but will actually be able to watch) but it's up to our fans and Philly's later during MNF this year to cause the biggest commotion over that disgraceful waste of space. I feel sorry for all of you at home listening to him talk every 10 seconds. -

I don't care so much about the dildos but the people sitting behind Booger's snotrocket and big screen deserve to throw crap at it -

Here is why I'm not panicking...

Our defense is a mix of young and ancient. Kyle and Lorenzo will fully deserve to retire whenever they want. Jerry will be on the last year of his deal and is crossing 30. Star has been impactful in some games eating space, whereas others his $10M/year contract looks like an abomination. On the other hand, Edmunds/Milano, Tre/Taron, and Hyde/Poyer will be here for a while and I don't have any doubts in our staff to compensate for future losses. But the issue that worries me most is how we will use the cap space - especially if FA's spurn us (even with overpaying). We've already said the OL/WR market looks shallow, and that's early into the offseason before some of them inevitably get extensions. The most worrisome factor is looking at which other teams have lots of cap space; according to Sportrac: 1. Colts 2. Jets 3. Bills 4. Texans 5. Browns If I were a FA player that wants to cash in, did not know how kickass Buffalo really is, and wants to stay away from cold weather, I'm going to go play for Andrew Luck or Deshaun Watson. Otherwise, Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield are so much farther ahead than Josh is it's depressing. It's no secret the Colts/Browns need WRs aside from TY/Landry, respectively. It's no secret the Texans will do everything in their power to fix their OL (though it should have been done this past offseason). Hopefully, one of these guys throws absurd money towards LeVeon Bell so we don't have to get into a bidding war for mid-tier FAs that are on our radar. -

I do ****ing hate him for the crap he pulled on Tre, but honestly sympathize with the injuries that guy has to deal with. With the hits he takes, waking up on Mondays has to feel miserable. I can't blame him for contemplating retirement for these past couple of years and the sooner he does it, be better life he'll have after football. Also, what's with the steroid comments? Pure ignorance... -
Looking back on the offseason transactions, it was pretty clear we were going to take a big step back (Eric Wood's freak injury, who knows what went on with Richie, and trading a chain moving QB for draft capital are the most notable). We stockpiled 5 of the top 65 picks to have them turn into Allen and Edmunds. If we didn't move up to get 'our' guys, we probably would have been able to address OL/WR better. That said, these issues were apparent from the beginning of FA and we could have - but didn't - address them thanks to cap constraints and/or players not interested in coming here (John Brown went Jeremy Maclin on us and picked the Ravens). Making the playoffs and finishing 2nd in the division increased the difficulty of our schedule by default, too.

Can't be a debacle if we don't do anything positive to begin with *insert Bruce-Smith looking head tapping meme* That's what Josh himself said, though. He's just trying to stay positive and getting the **** off the field while he isn't ready to play and without much around him to help him out, I view it as a blessing of sorts, too. The "career-ending" injury schtick here is a little over-dramatic, and to go back in hindsight and say you could predict an injury coming...what exactly does that accomplish? Injuries can happen to anyone, anytime. I'm not supporting management one bit for the way this position has been handled and am as pissed off as the next guy, but come on dude.

I was pissed that he left us in the first place. Juan Castillo was basically hired immediately after Sean and before we even got an OC...like wtf
