  1. I didn't understand the TBA designation... why was that there?
  2. or maybe you do... https://theathletic.com/2970405/2021/11/21/how-the-bills-run-defense-unraveled-against-the-colts-7-observations-from-sundays-blowout-loss?source=user-shared-article 6. Cole Beasley’s slight decline? The Bills limited Cole Beasley’s snaps early Sunday, just as they had in their previous two games. Beasley has dealt with a ribs injury, which is surely painful and has limited some of his effectiveness. However, the more significant problem might be that Beasley isn’t the explosive and shifty player he was last year. Throughout the season, even when healthy, Beasley hasn’t generated nearly the same separation that we’ve seen in previous seasons. Speed and the ability to quickly cut and gain separation can disappear quickly with older players, and once it goes, it’s tough to get back. Beasley remains a solid player against zone coverage, which will make him a big piece of the puzzle the rest of this season. But once Beasley starts to get back to full health, this is something to keep an eye on. Either way, the Bills need to give more time to second-year wide receiver Gabriel Davis, who is their second-most dynamic receiver behind Stefon Diggs.
  3. https://theathletic.com/2970405/2021/11/21/how-the-bills-run-defense-unraveled-against-the-colts-7-observations-from-sundays-blowout-loss?source=user-shared-article 5. Matt Breida deserves to supplant Moss as a top-two RB The Bills’ running game wasn’t a big factor, but it’s hard to ignore how the backfield is trending. Initially, the Bills gave Devin Singletary and Zack Moss the first reps at running back and were hesitant to put Matt Breida on the field. But as the game continued, it was evident that the Bills were begging for a difference-maker with speed to help jump-start some things, and Breida was outstanding in limited chances. On the other hand, Moss looked slow and indecisive and was decidedly ineffective. With how he has performed over the past two weeks, the Bills need to seriously consider making Breida their new 1B to Singletary’s 1A. Singletary at least made some people miss Sunday, while Moss is a nonfactor. Because Moss doesn’t play on special teams, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s a healthy scratch next week or in the future if his struggles continue against the Saints.
  4. Why is it time to go on record? What are you going to do to us if we say yes? For the record, I think we CAN still be a Super Bowl team and probably still will be a playoff team. As awful as today was, we're somehow still 1 loss behind the #1 seed. The AFC just generally sucks... or is universally good... can't figure out which it is. Regardless, as bad as he was today, we have an Elite QB. That goes a long way in this conversation. What today (and last year, for that matter) should make us realize is how integral and underrated Star is to this D. Do I think we would've won with him alone? No. But Taylor wouldn't have had the game he had. Add Edmunds and Spencer Brown missing along with McKenzie's gift of a TD and Daboll's infuriating insistence on Moss over Breida and I think we could be a much better team against the Colts if we see them in the playoffs.
  5. Moss is useless. Breida should have been seeing more snaps today. I thought last week was indicative of a real philosophical shift for the offense. Guess not.
  6. Is Brown playing? Anyone???
  7. I love Josh Allen
  8. Why do you keep responding if you're done arguing about it? This is now multiple times you've done that. Oh... I see... you need the last word because you believe that if you're the last one to claim victory--albeit in a shallow and childish manner... about on par with all of your arguments--then you somehow "win." Got it. I'm very much understanding you as a poster now. I thought at first you were reasonable and open to evidence. Have it your way. Enjoy your day. Go Bills!
  9. Amazing you're still just COMPLETELY ignoring that 2nd bobble. While the 1st bobble that you evidently claim (also amazing the fact that you think we should trust you that still is the moment he has control when all we can see is a foot) you've taken a still shot of at the moment he gains control is potentially debatable--though if you bothered watching those slomo angles I held your hand through, you wouldn't think that--the 2nd bobble is undeniably after his right foot is off the ground. Thus it's not a catch and you're completely incorrect. But you're dug in and seem to have an inability to admit you're wrong--and about something incredibly inconsequential for that matter. So let's just enjoy our weekend and await Davis's next big game.
  10. You're absolutely right here... you're analysis is probably better to be ignored here now based on not your initial belief but based on what is now clearly a refusal to actually look at the evidence laid out before you. You believe his toe is down before the major bobble. Possibly arguable (though if you went through that slomo video in the seconds I gave you, you'd change your mind) even though you're asking us to trust that still frame is at a certain moment... not an efficient way of presenting evidence AT ALL. But all the while you're ignoring the time it takes Davis to get control of the football. You clearly see it almost jump out of his hands as he grabs after it again looooong after his right foot is off the ground and probably after his left, too. You never "guided" us through any evidence. You basically just show a still frame and ask everyone to believe you. You're so sensitive.
  11. Yes there is. I already guided you through it... but you probably didn't bother taking your homer glasses off for a moment and watching it objectively. This is a stupid and inconsequential discussion because it literally didn't matter if he caught it or not. Gabriel Davis is awesome and needs to see the field more. He also has incredible sideline awareness and makes some unbelievable legal toe tapping catches. It's just that this wasn't one of them, and that's okay.
  12. Ahhh... 2 posters who evidently believe refs are infallible and don't make mistakes. Bet I don't need to go far in either of your posting history to prove the hypocrisy of this logic. Scott... yeah the ref did call it a catch. Refs make mistakes. Shady... a professional, singular, called it a catch. The Jets aren't crying about it because it made no difference as far as the outcome of the game goes AND there was a DPI that would have given us the ball there, anyway. But you guys should go out for drinks with each other and talk more about this non catch.
  13. No. Just no. But you clearly have tunnel vision and are allowing your eyes and brain to distort reality.
  14. Really not a good sign for us if Star is out. Jonathan Taylor is the best RB in the NFL now that Henry is out... and look what Henry did to us a month ago.
  15. So we're supposed to just take your word for it that a zoomed in image is after that bobble? Do you actually know which bobble I'm even talking about? Watch this video graciously posted by @billsfan1959 Watch beginning at second 44. At first you think he might have it at second 48... which is possibly when you take your still--we don't know... we apparently just have to take your word for it. But as you watch from that angle you can see the ball is still moving and actually almost jumps out of his hands and he doesn't regain full control until second 52/53, when his right foot is undeniably in the air and his left foot also probably is. Then go to 1:02 and from the back angle you can see his right foot is up in the air after he gains control. This is a stupid argument because it was inconsequential in terms of the game. If it was challenged, we would have ended up there anyway. It's also inconsequential because it's still a great representation of Davis's incredible concentration and talent. And we KNOW he's great at those sideline catches already. It's just that this one wasn't actually a catch. That's okay. Davis still needs more field time. It's just that it wasn't a catch. And you're weird obstinate obsession arguing that it was doesn't change that.
  16. Thank you for posting that. Now I think we can see it's not a catch. First of all the still image shows his right foot off the ground. Secondly... and most importantly... the slow motion video shows he wasn't in control of the catch with both feet in bounds. In fact, upon watching that multiple times, I don't even know if his left foot was in. Don't you guys see him bobbling it? He does it right to the moment he lifts his left foot.
  17. I assume you're referring to this: And this shows a toe on the ground. Are we just supposed to take your word that he's got control of the ball at this point? Are you afraid to show the entire picture?
  18. Please watch the clip and explain to me in detail how that was a catch. I just explicated how it clearly wasn't and referred directly to the clip. Maybe you're thinking of a different catch. If so, no worries. Otherwise feel free to explain how one foot being in bounds and one foot being out of bounds after the WR gains control is a catch. Are you thinking of college rules and applying them to the pros?
  19. It was a fantastic non-catch by him, but it was a non-catch, plain and simple. It was called a catch on the field, but the Jets absolutely would have won that if they challenged it. Davis's right foot never touches in-bounds after he gets control of the ball. You can see that in both angles, but especially the EZ angle. When the ball initially hit his hands, his right foot AND left foot were down, but then the ball bounces in the air--this means he doesn't have control yet--and then before he catches the ball again his right foot comes off the ground and doesn't touch the ground again until it's out. Wouldn't have mattered in terms of the flow of the game or the result of the play... it only matters for stats. But it was not a catch.
  20. Pretty obvious this is what happened. I loved the effort on his part and keeping it as a catch obviously pads both his and Allen's stats, but it wasn't a catch. But it really wouldn't have mattered because it was DPI and we would have gotten the ball where he caught it, anyway.
  21. Milano is practicing. I agree that he gets injured a lot but that's a pretty darn good indication he's practicing this week... they're probably just trying to be smart with whatever injury he has. After all, multiple players have had serious injuries in practice this season... ala Bobby Trees last Friday.
  22. Well gee... that was only a tiny part of what I just said... but you can go ahead and cherry pick that. It's not just his injuries, it's that combined with his injury risk as a slot WR (higher because of where they catch the ball) and his age, which will be 33 next season.
  23. But Oliver has been fantastic this year! His stats may not reflect it... but he's been an absolute beast! I agree and seeing those jet sweeps reintegrated against the Jets was a breath of fresh air. Agree Right now I'm honestly happy with Diggs as our #1 and Davis as our #2. I actually think that tandem would be one of the 5 best 1-2 punches in the NFL as far as WRs go. You don't draft slot WRs in the 1st. But I could see us drafting one in the first 3 rounds.
  24. Teams move off good players all the time for varying reasons. The Patriots have basically written the book of "better to get rid of him one year early than one year late." This team will have money issues moving forward because they need to find ways to lock up their young talent. I already mentioned new contracts coming up like Edmunds and Oliver... but then you also have guys like Knox and Davis whose rookie contracts expire soon... and I'm pretty sure those are 2 players this regime will want to keep. I don't have a problem if we keep him, but Beas has been getting injured more frequently and the fact is we can save some money if we let him go next year. Do you honestly believe he'll be around the year after that? If he's not in our long term plan--and at this point I doubt that's the case--and you can save a chunk of money by letting him go (we can) and we have some talent and/or experience waiting in the wings (McKenzie and/or Stevenson plus draft pick) then moving away from him might be exactly what we do.
