Lamar is having a great year, but so is Allen. And the problem here is that any distance between Lamar and Josh interms of stats this year was far exceeded by the distance between them last year when Lamar won despite having significantly fewer TDs and yards. And the turnover conversation even from last year is ridiculous. Why does the national media completely ignore Jackson's serious fumbling issues??? I guess the only way I could understand it not being given to Josh is if he goes out and lays a complete egg tomorrow and then the following week. Even then, should probably still go to JA17

Saturday Games - who are we rooting for? Belinda
transplantbillsfan replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Then root for Denver to beat the Bengals. You should care more about making sure we DON'T face the Bengals than facing the Colts. The only 2 WC contenders that scare me are the Bengals and Dolphins, both for obvious reasons -

No way. Root for LA to lose if you want to see the Colts get in. The Bengals are the ONE team still amongst the WC contenders (distantly) any Bils fan should obviously not want. They lose 1 and they're out. -
Allen has really cleaned up his ball security as far as fumbling goes. Allen only has 2 lost fumbles to Lamar's 5. And overall (recovered and lost) Lamar has 10 fumbles to Allen’s 5. 9 turnovers for Lamar. 8 turnovers for Josh.

Von Miller proves the doubters wrong
transplantbillsfan replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know man... Von has been exponentially better than you said he'd be in the offseason when you essentially said he was a replacement level player. As for pressures, according to PFF right now he has 30 pressures in 262 snaps. That's the 50th most pressures in the 105th most snaps. https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/von-miller/6154 Much more of a player than you thought he'd be. And if he does end up with 2 sacks in the final 2 weeks he would have met whatever criteria you were referring to while missing 4 games. -

Is 6 sacks what we agreed on? I didn't realize we agreed on any metric, I was referring to your "5 percent chance..." comment. I'm sure you remember that one. And also, he may have 4 sacks, but how many pressures does he have? I can think of several occasions he didn't get a sack but he either forced an incompletion or caused a sack for one of his teammates. I listen to a LOT of different football podcasts (Bills and non-Bills... he was one of the studs for Joe Marinothis week in his All-22 review) and repeatedly they talk about pressures being more indicative of the pass rushers. And then there's what he's been doing in the run game. -

Fun little bingo card game... check out the poster reactions to posts... any time you see someone "disagree" with someone who says something positive about Von... try betting yourself it's @GunnerBill ... you'll win that bet majority of the time... I sadly think he’s still clinging to his offseason misconception about Miller -

Anyone watching that game could tell Von was CONSTANTLY getting quick pressure. Here's the problem... the quickest pressure can be negated by a QB who can quickly diagnose the D and release the ball. Drake Maye looked like a 10 year vet in that game save a few plays. His average release time was 1.94 seconds. That's INSANE!!! Go watch Joe Marino's All-22 breakdown for further clarification. -
Let's not turn into the Pats fans of the Brady/Belicheck era. We won a divisional game and in the 4th quarter Buffalo had the game inland. I repeat... We won!!!!

CJ Stroud's uncontrollable crying.....

What makes him entitled is how he ranked himself as a QB among the pantheon of all the rest of the NFL QBs after just one season -

Frankly... I don't like Stroud. I think he's an entitled little B word . Not much more for me to say here... I don't really disagree with you -
Diontae Johnson to the Ravens (now claimed by Houston)

Happy about that? Funny... Many would have said the same about Amari Cooper before we signed him... receipts exist in this forum... It's the Ravens... I applaud him for it -

Waived by the Ravens today. I don't know what happened there, but he's a really good WR. You know what's about to happen, right? Suddenly when we play the Chiefs in the playoffs, their weapons might be: DeAndre Hopkins, Isaiah Pacheko, Hollywood Brown, Xavier Worthy, & Diontae Johnson EDI: I typed all of that and left out Travis Kelce... -

Thank you. I was surprised this was bumped. Von may have been our most consistent DL (in a good way) over the last several games. He was one of the few bright spots on D against the Rams. -
Josh Allen AFC Offensive POW Again (Week 15)!
transplantbillsfan replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
Should be 3 in a row -
Listen to Dan Orlovsky in the first few minutes of his interview on OBL. He's basically confused by all the complaints about Cooper and talks about how much of an influence he had on our passing game without a single target... all because of his gravity from just being on the field.

Actually disagree with this. Mahomes hasn't remotely carried KC in the way JA17 has. It's been the Defense and magic fairy dust. That said, Mahomes not playing would definitely hurt the Chiefs in their final 3 games... all against playoff teams.

Exactly what I was thinking. Maybe this is just a batch slap to their face for all the years they owned us and how we've Flipped the script. I hope we never do it again. -
I understand that after a game where Goff throws for nearly 500 yards this seems like a ridiculous question--and maybe it is. Personally, I thought our secondary just looked so much faster yesterday than all season. Obviously Bishop and Elam are a big influence there. But aside from speed, I thought they played pretty well as the game began in particular. Elam was only targeted a couple times in the first half and even though St. Brown got a couple catches there Elam tackled him for very short gains. Bishop gave up a longer pass to St. Brown, but soon after Goff threw a bomb to Williams who looked like he kinda torched Bishop at first and then it seemed at first he just dropped the ball, but after watching a few times it looks like Bishop's athleticisms helped him to recover enough to get a hand in there and maybe break up the pass. In the first half, Goff was 11/20 for 2 TDs and 161 yards, but he was 2/4 for 15 yards in the 1st quarter and was sacked twice and then the Bills were up 14 points. One of those 2 completions was on a 2nd and 18 dumpoff to St. Brown where Elam was right there and tackled him for a short 5 yard gain. After that point it just felt like our D knew how inevitable Allen and the offense were so it was fine to let the Lions become one dimensional and play them the way they did. Even with all the completions and yards for Goff, there were still a lot of plays where the defenders were close to making a negative play.
