  1. Burrow is the most sacked QB in the NFL and was sacked nine times against Tennessee. Real good job analyzing defenses pre-snap. They won against the Titans mainly because of their Defense. All the praise for Burrow as the first QB to win an NFL game being sacked 9 times is comical. That's not something he should be proud of. That's something that should be cause for him buying his whole D (and his kicker) gifts for.
  2. Really? My impression was that it was done after it because in the first paragraph it mentions Burrow's and Allen's memorable playoff performances.
  3. I honestly don't think I'll be watching the Championship games simply because it's my wife's birthday, but I'll absolutely be watching the Super Bowl and will hope and pray the Chiefs aren't in there. I know some people are saying they want the Chiefs to throttle everyone from hereon out to somehow prove the Bills are the 2nd best team in the NFL, but that's not what will be discussed in the offseason. What will be discussed is that the Chiefs are now a dynasty. And that just makes me sick. The order of who I want to see win the Super Bowl: SF (the true underdog... and I'd love to see Jimmy G win and put Shanny in a bind as to what to do with him next year. Plus Jimmy G will probably win on the back of his D and Deebo Samuel) LA (I just really like Stafford. I always did in Detroit and he was stuck in Detroit. Let's face it, Stafford might make the HOF, but he doesn't have a chance anymore to be in the conversation of All time Great QBs.) Cincy (I don't want the Bengals win the Super Bowl, but I don't want them to win the Super Bowl significantly less than the Chiefs. I will say that it'll be annoying listening to all the offseason chatter of how great Burrow is and how he might be the best QB in the league... and you know we'll start hearing some people say this.) KC (YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!! This will start reaching the realm of me rooting against them as hard as I did against the Pats for years!) And I want to also note (and you can probably tell) that at this point in my fandom I'm largely rooting for teams that I don't think will be a threat to Buffalo's dynasty or Josh Allen's other-level-greatness for the next 10-15 years. Yes, I know that's petty.
  4. I was gonna post this. What the ***** is wrong with these people? Burrow over Allen? Seriously? Can we please get a WR corps as good as Chase, Higgins and Boyd and an RB as good as Mixon? And for as much as everyone is pointing to how bad Burrow's OL is and how much he's overcome it... do these people not watch Josh Allen play? Our OL only finally started coming together at the end of the season and you STILL watch Josh Allen getting pressure and Houdiniing (I think that's a word now) his way out of the pressure to make a spectacular play... ala the 2 point conversion to Diggs in the Chiefs game along with many, many other plays. Not a chance Burrow makes those plays. Is it Burrow's confidence that's getting him so much run? One of these guys picks Burrow because of his leadership. Again, do they not watch Josh Allen? Did they not watch last year after our playoff loss as he went up to EVERY single offensive player and hugged them? ***** these guys!
  5. Numbers always lie. Josh Allen himself has proven that simply with his success as he's made the analytics crowd look like idiots and Brandon Beane look like a genius. Also, if you are going to provide numbers, at least provide all of them, including his rushing numbers. 2020 - 421 yards, 4.1 YPC, 38 1st downs, 8 TDs, 6 lost fumbles 2021 - 763 yards, 6.3 YPC, 54 1st downs, 6 TDs, 3 lost fumbles And for God's sake, can you even try to consider how awful our OL was for a good stretch this year and the some of the terrible weather games we played in. Allen's getting better, even if the numbers don't.
  6. Davis & Knox sure look like they could get there. Poyer's not Elite? Hyde? Milano? This was Spencer Brown's first year at RT and he's a physical specimen.
  7. Those players became HOF players after great careers and 4 straight Super Bowls.
  8. Thank you for providing context to that ridiculous playcalling. I agree and that's just one example we've had. I won't be upset if he leaves or stays, honestly.
  9. Josh said in his exit interview he'd love Dorsey to be the guy to take over OC if Daboll leaves. I prefer new blood that operates the same system. I'm sorry, Daboll infuriates me sometimes when he takes the ball out of Josh's hands multiple plays in a row. We had a 3 and out where Josh handed off 3 times against the Chiefs. We had a 3rd and 4 where we handed off to Singletary. I get that he's done a lot of good things, but sometimes I think he's a better and more creative OC than Josh is a QB and playmaker.
  10. Allen doesn't, but I think McDermott, the coaching staff, and the Defense did. And unfortunately, even though Wins and Losses are a team sport and this Loss was more on those other entities, many will judge Allen as clearly 2nd to Mahomes until he beats Mahomes in the playoffs.
  11. If we have to choose between cutting Cole or resigning McKenzie can we please please please resign McKenzie?
  12. Seems like you're agreeing with the OP, then. Aren't you? I'm incredibly fearful the OP's analogy is accurate. I hope it's not and I'm not ready to make that conclusion yet because I think Allen can take over a game even more than Manning could as he only now (CRAZY!!!) enters his prime. And I mean that. However, we play in the same conference as the Chiefs and what you've just said here makes the Bills the Colts of the early to mid 2000s to Brady/Belicheck's Patriots. Now, what I think is fortunate for us is the fact that we play in the AFC East. And at least as of this moment, Allen looks like he's getting a situation with the AFC East like Brady had for years where it's one of the weaker divisions in Football. The Chiefs, by contrast, will have at least one other Elite QB to play in division in Herbert, if not 2 with Carr also in there and playing at a high level. Plus the Broncos seem like a generally aggressive organization ready to go out and get a QB. McDermott and Allen are 3-0 in the playoffs at home and 0-3 on the road. Get homefield advantage next year and I think we'll have our answer in the playoffs as to whether Allen is just the #2 behind Mahomes in the Conference or if he can truly compete with or even surpass him.
  13. Diggs and Davis will be a fantastic 1-2 combo moving forward. The question will be who's #1 and who's #2?
  14. I'll say this... I teach Seniors in High School. There are a couple kids who I talk a lot of football with. They've kinda ragged on me about the Bills over the year and laughed when I said Josh Allen is probably the most talented overall QB in the NFL. Yesterday when I saw these 2 students they said Josh Allen is their new favorite player. As for me, I agree that this offseason I can't be nearly as dejected as we were during the drought or even last year when KC was clearly better... or does that make it worse? I'm convinced Allen wins minimum 2 or 3 Super Bowls for Buffalo. This is just a year subtracted from his opportunities.
  15. 49ers then Rams then Bengals. Anybody but KC, even though I think they win it.
  16. Stafford is a HOFer if he wins a Super Bowl this year. The issue is the obscurites you have to reach for like Bulger as an argument on your part that this won't happen. I don't even think Bulger was on a HOF trajectory and Romo is wildly debateable, but for argument's sake, you've found 3 examples of players whose careers were derailed by injury. Cam Newton would probably have been your best example.. Of course it could happen. I could also win the lottery or get struck by lightning. But there's no point thinking about any of those things because it's not all that likely.
  17. Are you just being obtuse or can you really not see the difference between Josh Allen and Tony Romo or Marc Bulger? The Andrew Luck comparison is relevant, but I think Luck is out of the league because he doesn't love football as much as a HOFer needs to. Injury could derail a career, but for Allen it'd have to be pretty act-of-God kinda stuff. I could see him POSSIBLY tearing an ACL at some point and then coming back even stronger and better... Ala Tom Brady.
  18. I did. Sure looks like you are. Just say he might get injured. Why the hell would you compare him to a wildly inferior QB like Bulger?
  19. Did you really just compare Josh Allen to Marc Bulger Don't ever, ever do that again. Tony Romo might have eventually gotten in if he had better durability and stayed in the league longer, which Jerry Jones made clear he could. Andrew Luck would be in the HOF if he had the proper FO and nearly the love for Football Allen clearly does. And that's not a controversial statement... it's well documented. Just as it is with Trevor Lawrence.
  20. We know. I believed he was going to be after year 2. Most objective fans could see he probably would after last season. Anyone who can't see that barring a (PLEASE PLEASE GOD NO!!!) godforsaken career ending or debilitating injury at this point he's getting a jacket is stubborn or overcompensating or a hater. I don't care about the Gold Jacket. He's getting it. I want the multiple Super Bowls we're due with him as our QB.
  21. I know. I'm just still reeling. Hold me.
  22. He's absolutely right. What's just deflating is that I've thought Allen would be an All time HOF great QB for a couple years now and every year without a Super Bowl is another year wasted as he grows older.
