  1. I don't know. The time I was most scared he would be injured was when he stayed in the pocket and got sacked by Aaron Donald and was inches away from having his head bounced off the turf. That was a stroke of luck he didn't get a concussion and it wasn't a running play. I'm really not the biggest fan of designed runs for Josh Allen... never have been. I want him to scramble at will, though. That said, I think this has been covered often, but QBs are probably more susceptible to serious injury in the pocket. I'm relatively comfortable with Josh Allen seeking contact beyond the LOS. I think the opposing secondary has more reason to fear injury.
  2. Yikes. That's what bothers you now? Sorry. I'll remove it. Thanks for the free rent by the way
  3. Since they started these Thursday NFL season opening games with the Super Bowl winner hosting no challenger has blown out the defending Super Bowl champion like the Buffalo Bills did yesterday. Just because you don't think it can happen (or don't want it to... ?) doesn't mean it can't. Also, do you just say stuff expecting people to believe what you say is true? Brett Favre Steve Young Joe Montana Kurt Warner All were QBs who won the NFL MVP AND the Super Bowl Do you enjoy talking out of your butt? Lemme guess... now you'll try to pivot and say you meant something else... ?
  4. Love seeing guys like Monson do a complete 180 on Allen over the last few years Why are you trying so hard?
  5. You talking the 1 pick that was his fault? He had 4 TDs and 2 turnovers along with 350+ yards of offense, over 80% completion % and nearly 10 YPA.... and today looked like a day where the ball wasn't exactly bouncing our way. Is this really the narrative you're sticking with again? I would almost call this a "shake-the-rust-off" game and he wound up having a spectacular 2nd half after doing that
  6. (Ongoing weekly thread. Go to pg 54+ EOY & week 18 talk) Dominant game despite 2 interceptions, 1 of which wasn't his fault. Entire 1st half I was honestly wondering why Buffalo wouldn't take any shots downfield. Then we took 2 in the 2nd half and connected on both. Can't complain about that. So in the end... on a national stage against the defending Super Bowl Champs (and Aaron Donald and Mr "I'm not here to blow smoke" who GOT smoked): 83.9% completion % 9.6 YPA 353 yards of offense 4 TDs 2 TOs Not too bad... https://twitter.com/ColinCowherd/status/1568067127516745730?t=Q5I3rLrIu4GY5BijeR6N6Q&s=19
  7. Wow I've been so busy I'm just seeing this. I'm so stoked about this! I really think last season was Knox just starting to scratch the surface of what he can do. Funny how Allen’s 2 BFFs on the team (both on and off the field) just got signed to lucrative extensions...
  8. It's Josh. He's arguably the most talented player in NFL history. https://theathletic.com/3546121/2022/09/01/josh-allen-bills?source=user-shared-article
  9. Man... you 2 would hate living in Hawai'i. Tanks and boardshorts... lots of em all over... even on elderly men. Actually, especially on elderly men.
  10. https://www.si.com/nfl/2022/08/31/nfls-youngest-oldest-rosters-after-tuesdays-cuts Is it a huge concern in the near future? Nah. But at an average age of 26.5 with elite players like Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer and Von Miller on the wrong side of 30 and foundations to the team like Diggs, White and Milano getting there pretty soon, the idea of reloading this team intelligently given an increasingly complicated CAP situation every year is going to become tantamount to annual success.
  11. Now that it's past the cut/waive time can the OP update the post on the first page for all the cuts? Or can someone else make an "Official 53 man roster" thread? I want to know who's been cut, but sifting through this beast is a pain.
  12. What do you think Josh would have done if Keenum got injured in the same way?
  13. I don't know if this got legs in the gameday thread, but I thought it was pretty notable what happened when Darnold injured his ankle/foot. It seemed pretty clear Sam was respected in the locker room with tons of Carolina players coming up to him to pat him on the shoulder or give him whatever reassurances they could. But there was one high profile Panther Quarterback who (at least from what I could see) never even set foot on the field after Sam's injury and one high profile Bills QB who went right up to the cart to give the dejected Darnold his get wells and condolences...
  14. Can we just cut him already? Get him off the team and let's move onto the season without this stain and distraction on the team.
  15. Me too... when the heck is kickoff? Gonna be irritated if they don't switch
  16. Cut him. Unfortunately for him (but luckily for us), he's a freakin punter. I don't care if he's the greatest punter in the history of the NFL. He's a punter. The ramifications for the team itself are minor. Just tell Josh Allen he and the offense have to score on every drive or go for it every 4th down if we have to. I'd honestly rather have no punter on the team than a guy with an accusation like this (that actually has legs) looming over his head at one of the least important positions on a football team... especially one with such a prolific offense. The whole "innocent until proven guilty" is all fine and good in the legal system, but that's not how it works in pro sports. This is clearly NOT a baseless accusation with no merit. If it was, things would be different. Guys who get these types of accusations thrown at them and never debunk them as completely outlandish never fully recover their reputations. And all the guys who remained in the league only did so because they were great players at positions of importance. Cut him. This makes me sick to my stomach.
  17. Thanks for posting this. It was roughly week 4 or 5 of 2020 when Cowherd jumped on board.
  18. I think this is kinda his way of doing that. I remember listening to him after our week 1 win against the Jets in 2020 and I distinctly remember him being critical of Josh still with a bunch of statements about how Josh would always be a bit of an inaccurate QB who uses his legs. A few weeks later he was fully on the bandwagon. I think that's just how Cowherd admits he's wrong. He goes all in on the player when he realizes they're actually good. He did something similar with Joe Burrow. Agreed. He really came on board in 2020. And what's also interesting is that he mocked Josh to us in his final mock draft in 2018. I think the pick clearly worked out in a way he never expected.
  19. What the hell... why is Emmitt Smiths football life on?
