Allen's final throw, bad decision or bad pass?
transplantbillsfan replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks for posting that but you left out 1 other option that's possible. Miscommunication. Watch that clip frame by frame. If Davis cuts across the field rather than diagonally into the end zone Peterson doesn't get the chance to get in front of him. To me the 2 choices should be bad throw or miscommunication or bad throw. And I certainly wonder myself. Regardless... Allen and Davis haven't been on the same page this year. -
Allen’s in a funk. It happens to every QB. I think/hope most can see that while Allen played a large part in losing us this game, we wouldn't have even been remotely in this game without him. Anyone thinking Keenum would have won us that game is an idiot. 8 games left. Josh get your head right and end the funk, please.

Josh is in a slump. This is pretty frustrating. The good thing? We've still got 8 games and a QB who takes winning, losing, and screwing up so personally that (I'm pretty sure) he was laying on the field crying... or at least despondent... after his first INT. We're in a stretch of the season Josh Allen sucks. I think based off who he is he turns it around quickly.

If they don't activate Barkley we can all rejoice because we know Allen isn't merely playing but is close to 100%. However, if they do activate Barkley it really doesn't say anything about Allen's status other than what we already know: that he may or may not play. You guys are acting like the PS elevation should be treated like a precious gem. And frankly... activating Barkley despite an Allen who is expected , but not certain to start, is extremely valuable. Here I am now wishing my Saturday would go by faster just to get past all this nonsense.

Barkley is getting elevated. That's not an indication of whether Allen plays or not. And for all those decrying the "why would we waste a PS call up???" ... how often are we calling up PS players and how would this be a waste? If Allen can play Barkley would just be inactive and it wouldn't be a wasted spot, anyway

Multiple people are idiots. Do you honestly think Allen would have trotted out there in practice without an arm brace and in pads for his first practice of the week with McDermott saying it's gone from day to day to hour to hour with him??? C'mon people I can't friggin believe those of you who think that somehow a "surprise!!!" Case Keenum start is better than even a 75% Josh Allen... and I'm sure Josh Allen is closer to 100% than 75%

Seriously? I don't understand you and @Logic and @BuffaloBaumer and your ilk. It's absolutely still possible that Josh sits, but it seems like in some of your minds you delusionally think you know the extent of Josh's injury when you obviously don't have a clue. If Josh is healthy and there's no risk of worsening the injury other than a freak incident like Huff's hit, you friggin play Josh Allen. And if it's nerve irritation and it's better now, that's probably the case. If it's a super extreme minor sprain... I'm no Doctor but I've sprained my ankle plenty and minor ones take a few days to feel 100%, not weeks. Josh has talked all about the stretching and work he does for his body in the offseason, maybe he's 100% already. Regardless of whatever the participation status today will be it's clear he was there participating to at least some degree with pads on. McDermott changed his designation to hour to hour instead of day to day. What about this sounds like Josh not trending towards playing? You guys just doing the Billsy thing of talking up to worst so as not to be let down? Honestly... my main reason for thinking Case might play at this point is McDermott setting Keenum up for a revenge game all week, not wanting to let him down and having an excuse with Allen’s injury.

No... "best case scenario" is NOT a minor Grade 1 sprain necessarily. Here... I'm going to post this for a 3rd time and direct you to 2:35 and keep watching for about a minute. This is where he describes what is probably "best case scenario," which is nerve irritation. It's basically the nerve getting knocked out of place and shouldn't cause him to miss much, if any time. But again, watch the explanation from someone explaining different possiblities of injuries for Allen with visuals.
