Extremely new to the position. Back injury setback. Think Josh Allen but at Right Tackle and with an unfortunate offseason injury after his rookie year. But even more raw than Allen. Competition is fine. Just don't wate a top pick on a RT. McBeane believes in Spencer Brown. I think this is his breakout season

Spencer Brown is one of the most athletic players in the entire NFL. He's incredibly physically gifted. So many things might have factored into his play this season, including missing much of the offseason with a back injury. I'm content going into this year with him as our entrenched starting RT for another season. Get some veteran depth behind him.

I love bringing him in as a backup, mainly because I live in Hawaii and suddenly the Bills would be in the news and on TV consistently (though honestly they were this past season, anyway) and there would suddenly be a bunch of Bills fans out here. He'd be a great backup and should be cheap.

Good. This is the classy way to go about things. Sorry for any Frazier defenders but our last 2 Postseason losses have really soured me on Frazier as a Sunday big game gameplanner. The defensive gameplan against the Bengals was absolutely criminal. McDermott or Babbich or the new guy we just brought in from Carolina all seem like good replacements.

Marino had a HOF coach at the tail end of his career and very little Elite talent surrounding him. If I were to compare 90s vs now Bills. Allen, Diggs, and Knox (though not by much over Metzelars) get the edge. 90s Bills had an OL I'd drool over today. Thurman and Kenny Davis were obviously far superior to what we currently have. Any wonder that our focal point for discussion has been WR (can you imagine us tracaliber? or aquiring a WR of James Lofton's calibre?), OL, and RB? I just don't care about defense anymore. Does defense even matter anymore? I'd love to see McDermott more hands on next season. Andy Reid showed he's a brilliant enough offensive coach that he could scheme an offense with Mahomes, Kelce and a buncha JAGs. It'd be awesome if McDermott could figure out how to do the same with the Defense (especially if Tremaine walks) while investing heavily in offensive talent in FA and the draft.

No they didn't. Short passing game was going strong all the way up to the bye week. Football Outsiders has a stat called Intended Air Yards per attempt or Average Depth of Target. I'm providing the link and you can take a look yourself, but knowing that Allen got injured in Week 8, take a look at those first 8 games. The 5 lowest numbers on the entire season were in those first 5 games. Plus, the Pittsburgh game had 2 passes alone to Davis for over 150 yards, so that 13.5 belies what was actually going on in that game. Buffalo's best and most efficient games of the season offensively (especially with regards to Allen) were likely the Rams, Titans, 1st Phins game, and the Chiefs game. You spend a long time bashing the credibility of him. Are you arguing that what he said might be incorrect because he isn't knowledgeable enough? What he said doesn't seem like it would be groundbreaking stuff you'd need to learn from years of Residency--and just as a side note, many physical therapists do go on to Residencies... it's just a choice for them unlike the medical Doctors. A UCL sprain is a pretty specific injury and seems like physical therapists would be pretty darn familiar with it. So you either think he's incompetent and lacks the knowledge in his field to provide the educated opinion he provides, or you think he's lying and using his title as a means to convince people his lie is correct. He was? Can you provide examples? Josh actually said he had to alter his throwing motion because of the injury. I don't understand why this is being viewed as some kind of ridiculous theory.

Ummm... really? If he doesn't need the surgery my guess is that's because it'll heal 100% with rest. If it were still going to limit him, he'd get the surgery.

If you listen to Joe Marino, you've heard this. I'll post the YouTube video below of his podcast as well as the source material it was quoted in. Both are super interesting. Basically, Josh Allen’s UCL injury is why we may have shifted to a more downfield passing game. From Dr Kyle Trimble: “the arm/elbow angles based on the type of throw affect how much pain there is and how much stress was placed through the joint. Deeper throws require less accuracy due to decreased elbow flexion, thus reducing stress on the injured joint. Shorter and intermediate throws require more precision with a different throwing motion requiring more elbow flexion. The increased elbow flexion places the injured ligament on tension, causing pain. That in turn would affect speed. The faster he threw, the more torque is required through the elbow joint. However, the pain and instability limited how much torque the elbow could accept. Well... it might honestly be a blessing in disguise if another team pays him. It's not that I don't want him back, but if those dollars are devoted to our offense taking 2 steps forward while our defense takes 2 steps back, I'm perfectly fine with that.

Anyone listen to and respect Joe Marino? I was never a big podcast guy til I started listening to him last offseason. In his podcast of Locked On Bills yesterday he said he thought Robinson is one of the 3 best players in this draft and that he would not be upset if we drafted him at 27, but also said he didn't think he'd be there. He said Bijan is the best RB talent since Saquan and thinks he's better than Saquan. Take that FWIW, but 3 years of Bijan and Cook as a 1-2 punch might just be what gets us over the hump... plus we'd have 2 more years of Robinson.

I hope so. I'll say this... look at Diggs vs Shakir coming out of College and they're almost identical. Shakir has significantly shorter arms but seems a little more explosive if you're basing it off the Combine. I think we were all pretty excited to get him in the 5th round. I wouldn't be surprised to see him surpass Davis, but we should still hedge our bets and get a WR.

Are you proposing we resign Saffold as a UFA in a few weeks to trade him? Did you think this through?

If you were to take the careers of Juju & MVS vs Knox & Davis, this comparison becomes ridiculous. Production wise MVS >>> Knox and Juju >>> Davis in their NFL careers. And it's not very close.
