RD 5, Pick 150: WR Justin Shorter, Florida
transplantbillsfan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looks like Gabe Davis with better hands. Stash on the PS and develop for a year to replace Davis??? We could always keep him as our 6th WR. -
Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
transplantbillsfan replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Again I ask with a twist... did you not watch the Bills this season? If you took that Bengals game as a vacuum game and came up with Deandre Hopkins as the one thing that would get us a Lombardi then you didn't watch that game. By the way (since maybe you need this explanation), you shouldn't take that Bengals game as the definition of the 2022 Bills. -

We've had a real chance to win it all for the last 3 years. Are you new to watching the NFL? -
RD 3, Pick 91: LB Dorian Williams, Tulane
transplantbillsfan replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we should all take this as an exciting (anxiously exciting) move for our D in general. Seems we now have a pretty good idea that McDermott is really about to change our D. It's interesting that we basically have 3 guys now on the team who kinda straddle that LB/Safety skillset and roll in Rapp, Bernard and Williams... and I didn't even mention Milano. I hope McDermott proves to be the mad defensive genius for this team that Andy Reid is on offense for the Eagles. -
RD 2, Pick 59: G O’Cyrus Torrence, Florida

Our OL went from horrible to stacked very quickly. What I like about this is it probably sets Bates up to take a year on the bench behind Mosrse to master Center. Man... we have 5 guys who range from probably decent to possibly great starting Guards now. Loving the draft so far! -
I am 100% hoping Bijan falls to us. I just don't think he does. If he doesn't, our RB corps is already pretty seriously upgraded from last season.

Gunner's 2023 Draft Quarterback Evaluations
transplantbillsfan replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks Gunner... but I just won't even read this cause we aren't drafting a QB. Wide Receivers next, please! -
Josh Britt unverified Breakup rumour
transplantbillsfan replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in Off the Wall
Is this thread about Josh Allen or Jim Kelly? Why are people talking about the 2 in the same light? Are you guys implying that Josh cheated on Brittany the way Kelly did on his wife? Has there been any further news about them actually breaking up? -
Josh Britt unverified Breakup rumour
transplantbillsfan replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in Off the Wall
I know this is minor (to us), but did the Josh & Brittany breakup actually happen? I know there was a thread about it, but I thought within it people were still talking about how it was all speculation. Regardless, if they did break up, that adds just one more thing for last season being incredibly difficult for Josh considering a long term relationship doesn't just end in the snap of a finger. -
Thanks Gunner. I genuinely appreciate the response. I think you generally captured what I was trying to say in the 2nd to last paragraph at towards the end. Since you have your scouting background, can you give us your favorite 1 or 2 WRs by round that you'd like to see in the draft? Right now it seems like most have JSN as in a league of his own in this draft but still relatively within reach with a trade up. Do you agree? Would you do it?

First of all, has anyone listened to Beane and McDermott talk about Gabe Davis? They freaking love the guy. I don't think our efforts to add to WR this offseason have been/will be about replacing Gabe Davis so much as getting him back to what he does best. I think Davis is a good starting WR, just not great. But Cincinnati, Philadelphia and Miami are the exceptions, not the rule when it comes to 1-2 punches at WR. What Josh Allen really thrives with is an Elite slot WR, as we learned with Beas. What's this draft full of? Potentially good to great slot WRs. I looked at Dane Brugler's "The Beast" over at The Athletic and the VAAAASSSST majority of the top 14 WRs are slot WRs. And all 14 of those are in his top 100 And also, Brugler has 15 WRs in his top 100. From JSN to Jordan Addison to Zay Flowers to Josh Downs to A.T Perry to Tank Dell... this draft is STACKED with WRs who project to the slot. It really makes me think this might be a repeat of last year and 2020 when we knew WR was a need but we waited to draft one til the mid to late rounds. That said... I would friggin LOVE JSN on this team!

DT. We need it. We're screwed after this season.

Too much money -
See this is kinda the reason I'm wondering if Campbell will be the guy we target. McDermott was the Panthers DC when Kuechly was drafted and for his first 5 years in the league. As for the desire for Sanders because of his pass rushing ability, was Kuechly a great pass rusher? Campbell seems like more of a true old school well-rounded MLB with good run stopping and coverage ability and great instincts. Sanders sounds more raw. I just think as McDermott's 1st year calling the defense, he'd look at a Kuechly-like MLB with googly eyes. We already have our pass rushing/blitzing LB in Milano.
