McDermott is wrong for the right reasons
transplantbillsfan replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
The OP decided today was a really good day to show his true colors. He's either a troll or a moron and I can't figure out which. Anyone legitimately putting any significant chunk of blame of this loss on Allen is simply either stupid or a troll. I'm not even violating CoC here because this is just true. @FireChans should really be apologizing to all of us for either being blatantly wrong or blatantly trying to troll all of us. -
McDermott is wrong for the right reasons
transplantbillsfan replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
You're honestly such a freaking troll. Watch more football. Josh Allen was the reason the Bills weren't merely in that game but should have won it. Did Josh drop a perfect pass that would have been a TD? No, that was Cook. Did Josh miss 2 FGs? No, that was Bass. Did Josh run the wrong route on what would have been the GW TD? No, that was Davis. Josh was Hercules today and his team let him down. That includes his HC, because I agree with you on the McDermott stuff. But give me a ***** break. Josh was a Hero today. Go root for another team if you think that level of QB play isn't enough. -
Week 12: Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles
transplantbillsfan replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fantastic contribution to this thread. -
That's fine. I think a 2nd consecutive good offensive showing right after firing an OC combined with Allen playing great for those consecutive weeks combined with putting up the strongest numbers in 2 years against one of the best defenses in the NFL and beating the best team in the NFL vaults him into top 3 conversation. What's your wager?

It's not just beating the Eagles... it's Allen playing well and them beating the Eagles. If you want to make a bet with the Jets game as a floor for Allen with a Bills win, we can. Sooo... Bills win with Allen getting 290+ yards, 3+ TDs and no more than 1 turnover... on the road against the team with the best record in the NFL.. I will make a bet with you that at least 1 sports book puts Allen in the top 3 in MVP odds.

I think that "picking favorites" strategy is massively flawed for the AFC North. Your scenario only sees Cincinnati winning one more game and Cleveland only losing one more game. I think both scenarios are pretty far fetched. By the way, if we're rooting for any team on a weekly basis to win in the AFC, it's Baltimore. They're the only other AFC team (that matters) with a bye remaining. That means 1 less game for them and smaller chance to match them.

Right now? 4. They play each other next week. And then Allen plays Mahomes. And then Allen plays the Cowboys and Dak. And then Allen plays Herbert and the Chargers. Buffalo wins 3 or 4 of those games and Allen looks good and plays more like he did a couple days ago... well... I'm sure you know where the national conversation goes.

Dalton Kincaid: Beane's best pick since Allen?
transplantbillsfan replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Terell Bernard is the answer to that question considering Kincaid was universally believed to be the best TE in last year's draft class. No one really knew who the heck Bernard was and everyone, including (maybe especially) the fan base criticized the pick. Dude's a stud. -
Are you living in the past? Miami just played the Raiders. They didn't lose, but they almost did. Miami is a paper tiger.

Still say 10-7 gets in. Some posters are looking at doomsday scenarios rather than reality. You guys realize the Bills are the only team in the WC hunt with their bye week remaining, right? That means every other team plays one more game than Buffalo. I think this iteration of the team could manage 6-1... but 5-2 still finds a way in when all the other teams have 8 remaining games as opposed to our 7. Philly is the least important game to win remaining on our schedule. If we only lose one more game this year, I hope it's to Philly

Well, unless Mahomes or Hurts throw 4 interceptions. Unlikely, but possible. Regardless, notice that all those "MVP candidate" QBs aren't exactly protecting the football. Tua and Lamar have 11 turnovers, Mahomes has 10 turnovers and Stroud has 9. Purdy is protecting the football more than any other candidate and only has 5 turnovers right now, but has also had incredibly good fortune. He's fumbled 6 times and just hasn't lost any of them. Yep... Allen has 15 turnovers. But he has 29 touchdowns. The next closest player in TDs right now is Hurts, who has 22. So is that 4 turnover difference more impactful negatively than the 7+ (in most cases plus) difference in TDs positively? And just so you know, Allen has 9 more TDs than Purdy, 10 more TDs than Stroud, and 12 more than Lamar & Mahomes. At the moment, Purdy is the one maybe most deserving, but is he? He's got another guy in McCaffery on his side of the ball playing at an MVP level. Same goes for Tua.

Breaking: Jets QB Zach Wilson being benched for Tim Boyle
transplantbillsfan replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good. Hope they beat the 'Phins -
My Dad and I talked before this game. He said he wouldn't be happy unless the Bills scored 30 against this Defense and had a zero turnover game. I thought 30 points was ridiculous. I just wanted the zero turnover game. Even though the stat sheet says we had a turnover, everyone knows what we really just saw was a 30 point game and zero turnovers against one of the best Ds in the NFL.

And now?

Can't see that. You sure that's not a screenshot of a grasshopper?

You're saying a whole lotta nothing here. I didn't list ALL teams because you should get the idea already. I think you do, but you're just stubbornly clinging to your original point. And I want you to provide me with a scenario where the Bills win out and don't make the playoffs. Every time you find yourself giving one team in the WC race wins to kick Buffalo out you'll be giving another one a loss. Please, provide the scenario that proves Buffalo does not in fact control its own destiny. Try remembering that only one team wins a game.
