  1. Wouldn't exactly call it a bad game. Allen obviously won't win even though he has 15 more TDs than the guy who eventually will. Anyone watching that game should understand the context of the turnovers by Allen. The lost fumble was stupid and 100% on him. The 1st Interception was pretty clearly on Davis, who (once again) should've read a zero blitz in his route. The other Interception was on Allen but was literally meaningless and actually a benefit for the offense since the defender chose to intercept a ball on 4th down... making for negative yardage for the Dolphin offense. Allen’s dumbest play tonight was the one at the end of the 1st half to Ty Johnson preventing points on the board. But all good... onto the playoffs!!!
  2. This is something I posted about Sunday’s game in the MVP thread. Joe Marino did a full All-22 analysis of the game and largely concludes our receivers are letting Josh down. Bruce Nolan said the same thing in his Bruce Exclusive podcast this week. He emphasizes the team really needs 2 things we don't have: a field stretcher and someone who's dynamic with the ball in their hands.
  3. Well FWIW Bruce Nolan--SUPER highly respected analyst and film guru--echoed Marino's sentiments about the passing game in his podcast yesterday. He put majority of the passing game struggles on IOL and the receivers. He also says it's pretty obvious that Brady's offense is setting the passing game up for success.
  4. You're obviously right about the year I got wrong. It wasn't 2020. But it's also not 2019. It was 2021. We lost 34-31 And we had almost the exact same video of Bills fans on an airplane for that game.
  5. This actually makes me superstitiously nervous. The last time I remember all the hype about Bills fans taking over a stadium and seeing an airplane video exactly like this was 2021 when we played at Tennessee. We lost 34-31. (Edited this because I obviously got the year wrong initially saying it was 2020 )
  6. I was really posting that in the context of people like @BullBuchanan who are flipping out about Allen's play on Sunday.
  7. Are you saying the probowl matters???? You talk out of several sides of your mouth throughout this post... sooo... are you actually saying you think Allen should be the MVP??? That's what it sounds like.
  8. Wait... of all the plays on Sunday, you're trying to criticize the one big passing play the team had on an absolutely perfect pass from Josh???? Wait... let's check the tape again...
  9. I think this was the take most of us had, but apparently the passing game struggles Sunday should really go more on the OL and WRs. Watch/listen to the first half of Joe Marino's All-22 analysis of the Pats game. And keep in mind that Marino has been incredibly critical of JA17 recently. He attributes 4 or 5 passing play struggles to Allen and the rest to the OL (specifically the Interior OL... he said Dawkins and Brown were studs) and to the WRs. One of the interesting parts was his analysis of Josh's interception. He puts the blame of that interception squarely on Sherfield's shoulders because he ran an incredibly lazy route. If Sherfield looked like he was really anticipating a pass and running that route full effort and speed, Austin never would have separated. But since it was obvious to Austin based on the way the route was run that Sherfield never was getting the ball, Austin sprinted towards the other route. And before anyone puts the onus on Josh for dialing in strictly to Kincaid, Marino also points out that Kincaid was the correct read because the Safety started following Sherfield. If he didn't, Sherfield would have been the correct read. Sounds like the passing game is close despite not looking like it.
  10. I think it's clear it's lingered. Anyone notice how the broadcast caught him opening and closing his right hand on the sideline on Sunday? And yet, for all the talk of "Josh needs to run less!!!" this is the 3rd relatively significant injury of his career (2 UCLs and now the shoulder) and all have taken place in the pocket.
  11. No he wouldn't have to blow Lamar's numbers out of the water, but I'd say he'd need comparable numbers. Anything less than a win with 300 total yards, 4 total TDs, and more than 1 turnover and he has no shot. I have a hard time believing voters would look at the QB of the #2 seed who has accumulated 4800+ total yards and 46+ total TDs and not think long and hard about making him the league MVP. And just to be clear people... just win baby!!! I don't care how it looks.
  12. This is why there's one more week. If Allen owns Miami the way he's owned them over the last few years, it's going to be close. On a side note... are we all now in agreement that CMC, Tyreek and Purdy are out of it???? So you're either in the camp that Lamar has it wrapped up or it's Lamar and then Allen with a distant shot???
  13. Man... we're so spoiled all the sudden. If my QB is having a down year when he accumulates 4500+ yards and 42 TDs in a year he’s completing over 65% of his passes... sign me up immediately for that HOF career.
  14. It's not "no shot." But it is long shot. If Allen plays a game similar to the game Lamar played this week next week in what will be a Primetime (is there any doubt about this?) game that clinches the division and #2 seed for the winning team, he’s going to get a bunch of votes.
  15. While I appreciate the effort, are we really trying to use a screenshot of YouTube comments as proof of public perception? For that matter, if you went out and found every comment responding to an "Allen is MVP" post, do you really think they would confirm anything one way or another? If you would answer "yes" to either of the previous questions, make sure you hop in and ask all those people to send you the news every day 'cause ya just don't trust it and need it from trustworthy sources who'll shoot ya straight like all those anonymous commenters on YouTube and Twitter....
  16. Not only all of this, but with 2 games still to go Lamar already has 1 more interception and 4 more lost fumbles than 2019. Did you read that? Lamar Jackson has 24 TDs and 13 turnovers. I call total bull#### he wins it this year unless he goes ballistic the next 2 weeks.
  17. Miami needs to lose to Baltimore first. It's possible, probably even likely, but not a guarantee. We need to win Sunday against the Pats, first and foremost. But let's say Buffalo beats the Pats (likely), AND any combination of 2 of the following 3 where Jacksonville loses to the Panthers (possible and maybe very possible with Lawrence's injury), Pittsburgh loses to the Seahawks (very possible), Cincy loses to the Chiefs (I'm giving this just a very possible at this point) AND Miami beats the Ravens (possible)... Do you treat week 18 like a preseason game and rest starters knowing you're likely to be back in Miami the following week, anyway???
  18. You left out lost fumbles. He's only lost 3 this season. I really think we should be talking more about how Allen has cleaned up his fumbling problem. One of his credited lost fumbles was that weird end of game play against the Pats I think. Meanwhile, Lamar has lost 6 and Tua, Mahomes and Hurts all have 5.
  19. I'm sorry, but everything you've said in this thread is just ridiculous. I think you should ban yourself from this very thread after you said you don't care about total TDs for QBs. Here's what I'll say about this race. I don't really care about Vegas odds because Vegas doesn't vote on the MVP. MVP voters vote when the season ends. After the last game. If they do that and Buffalo has won out, I think voters will look at the 4 or 5 main candidates at that point (CMC, Tyreek, Lamar, Tua?) and dismiss Tyreek and Tua because they lost head to head against Josh and potentially Lamar. They will dismiss Lamar because he's likely going to have 20 fewer TDs than Allen (TDs equal 6 points for posters like @BullBuchanan who don't actually understand football). And then it's simply going to boil down to Allen vs CMC. And I think if Allen has 6+ TDs and 2 or fewer turnovers in the last 2 games, the voters are going to look at a QB who scored over 45 TDs leading his team to an almost improbable playoff berth based on mid-season record. And Allen wins it.
  20. Oh really? You said... and I quote: "Allen still isn't anywhere near top 5 for MVP" Now, please wiggle your way out of this trying to explain that you weren't 100% wrong. Or just man up and admit you were wrong. By the way, how did Brock Purdy do for his MVP case tonight?
