This is totally how I feel. Hyde and Poyer were absolute gems in Free Agency. And Poyer was a Diamond in the rough. I think with our Cap Space we're going to be pretty active in Free Agency anticipating we're going to give up some draft picks to move up in the 1st round of the draft. Really? I think Mayfield is going to be a good NFL QB. He's probably the guy I want 2nd most behind Darnold, though a distant 2nd and he's probably just lumped together with Rudolph and Allen, though Allen scares me.

No, I just really don't want any of those other options at QB as our next "franchise QB." With Taylor's contract, things are set up to draft a QB I'm just completely get out from under the rug of him after 2018 and moved completely forward with a brand new QB. Taylor is just fine in Buffalo for one more year if it comes down to it. You really want to keep drawing this line in the sand, don't you?

This roster full of "talent holes" just defied all expectations and made the playoffs. Get the QB you want McDermott.

No, he's not. The Jags are one of the most talented teams in the NFL and the Bills outplayed them most of the game with a lot less talent. Cleveland can be funny. They have #1 AND #4. I could see them sitting there at #1 and saying they have another pick in a few picks and will still get one of the top 3 QBs along with 2 more 1st round draft picks and more. Really wouldn't be a terrible move for them, either.

Peterman sucks. I'm sorry, but he does. His weak a$$ arm is the sole reason that ball was intercepted when it should have been a completed pass. But yes, given a concussion to Taylor, Peterman would have started next week.

The top 4 picks include Cleveland twice, who neither Donald nor Rosen have reported wanting to play for and there's reported interest in Mayfield. The Colts, who don't need a quarterback. And the Giants, and Gettleman almost sounds like he might move forward with Eli for a couple more years. I think we are very likely prepared to give up our two first round draft choices along with our second round draft choice and probably next years 1st or maybe 2nd round draft choice to go up and get either Darnold or Rosen. Based on reports, sounds like Darnold, who I prefer based on the little I know, though he's a QB I realize we're likely to take some serious lumps with. I think Sam Darnold is our 2018 game 1 starter. That's my waaaAAAAAAAyyyyy too early prediction. Yours?

Seems to be a common mistake on a sports message board, though, so by no means are you the only guilty party. I know I have been guilty of doing it, myself.

I really agree with you a lot more than you think I disagree with you. In fact, I almost entirely agree with you. But as for your 220 average passing yard benchmark, Taylor averaged 217 per game in 2015, so it's not like he's incapable of doing that with an outside threat and an OC who calls games that cater to Taylor's strengths. Dennison isn't that guy and he's not going anywhere, so Taylor just isn't the QB this team should bank on for more than next year.

So, it isn't the "vast majority of QBs," I was wrong there. But it's not all that anomalous. Over 20 starting caliber QBs have had multiple sub 40 Passer Rating games since 2007 and a handful of starting caliber QBs have done the same. I see you included a link to the passing yards too, which wasn't part of that discussion. Why did you choose 180? Plenty of QBs, including a league MVP and a handful of other Franchise QBs have averaged at least 3 sub 180 yard passing games a year over the last 3 years. Again, great find!

Dear Lord, Shady! You ask what target is moving and follow it up immediately by acknowledging that you moved your target. And then, in the very same post, you move your target yet again. It's unbelievable! At what point were we talking about "locked in the top 10 QBs?" Sheesh, I think anytime in the future you ever ask for proof of anything that involves legwork and looking up data, anyone and everyone should disregard because you're just going to constantly change your argument and move your target.

The vast majority of NFL QBs I guarantee you could find games with passer rating is in the 30s. I won't waste my time looking; you're just going to move your target again. They do? Proof? One thing that's sure working against you is that, ya know, we're 9-7 and in the playoffs this year and the guy you're condemning is 23-20 in the NFL over the last 3 years as a starter. I would list all those QBs with that "razzle dazzle" that we so desperately needed and that apparently correlates with wins who actually have worst records then Taylor over the last three years, but then some dummy would accuse me of saying Taylor's better than those guys.

No. 5 picks in a half happened 3 times in 25 years, according to you. And Fitz threw all his in the 2nd half. Peterman didn't see the field in the 2nd half. Who knows how many picks he might have thrown, especially considering he was lucky he didn't get another pick 6 and a lost fumble on a snap he wasn't ready for. There's a reason that was labeled as the worst performance by a QB since the AFL/NFL merger. Peterman was NOT ready. This insistent defense of Peterman is just strange. He's not as bad as that game... But he's not our Franchise QB... do some of you just love him so much because he's the "other" on a team with Tyrod Taylor under center?
