  1. riiiiiight... didn't realize you bumped a thread that was on page 3 or 4 at least by the time you bumped it... sure 3 Tyrod threads on the front page? You mean the TWO that are there, one of which I posted purely about Dennison regarding how the Bills had the most stuffed runs (0 yards or less) in the NFL on 1st and 2nd down (was Tyrod even talked about in the OP?) and the other that's really just been good fun responding to Crusher-under-a-new-name? Okay, Eeyore.
  2. Way to bump a ridiculous thread predicated on a ridiculous statement over a week dead. You just loooOOOOOOoooooovvee talkin Tyrod, don't you?
  3. When the team needed to come from behind by 1-8 points on the year, Taylor was 94/145 for 967 yards for 6 TDs and 1 INT with a passer rating of 94.8. When the team needed to maintain a "slim lead" ahead by 1-8 points on the year, Taylor was 48/79 for 560 yards for 3 TDs and 0 INTs with a passer rating of 94.9. We just didn't really pass very much.
  4. Well, Taylor was actually exactly in the middle of the pack of the NFL when it came to throwing to the sticks (ALEX), according to Footballoutsiders. He was also 17th/34 in AY/A and 20th/34 in ANY/A. He wasn't chucking it down the field all the time like in 2015, but I think it's a bit hyperbolic to say he was throwing the ball a lot shorter than other NFL QBs consistently.
  5. Interesting stuff! Thanks If you're referring to audibles, not every OC lets his QB audible. Hell, Big Ben, 1st ballot HOFer, publicly admitted Haley hasn't allowed him to audible to a QB sneak for years now when that may have been the difference on a 4th and inches play against the Jags last weekend.
  6. Bortles is worse than Taylor. Sorry. Fans like you get suckered into QBs like Bortles without realizing over his career, more of his production has come in garbage time than the vast majority of NFL QBs, by far. Over the last 3 years, here's his production when his team has been down by multiple scores (9 or more points): 28.5% of all of his attempts 30.3% of all of his completions 32.3% of all of his yards 36.7% of all of his TDs 32.3% of all of his rushing attempts 37.2% of all of his rushing yards 42.9% of all of his rushing TDs Bortles is fortunate enough to be on probably the most talented team in the NFL. His production over the course of his career has been illusory and massively in garbage time.
  7. Guess you haven't figured out what Tongue IN Cheek is, yet. All good fun brotha!
  8. Yuck! You want a QB who literally can't stay on the field because he's an injury away from just retiring? Talent wise, sure. But Bradford can't stay on the field. Get a guy who's durable, please.
  9. 3 HOF guys, one retired, one over 40, one who's been talking about retiring for a couple years ago. The AFC is getting more wide open. Why'd you leave out the NFC? Brad Johnson Jake Delhomme Donovan McNabb Matthew Hasselbeck Rex Grossman Eli Manning Kurt Warner Drew Brees Aaron Rodgers Eli Manning Colin Kaepernick Russell Wilson Russell Wilson Cam Newton Matt Ryan Case Keenum/Nick Foles
  10. Muchas gracias What's a tongue and cheek have to do with what you said? You didn't even say it with your tongue or your cheek. You typed it on an Internet message board. Not at all. If we upgrade the position, I'll be stoked. But I think the likelihood of Taylor being gone in March is low, unless we've traded him as part of a package at that point to trade up in the draft. Personally, I don't think Beane or McDermott will go the route of a FA vet QB. I think they want their guy in the draft in the 1st round specifically, which was the whole point of all of our moves last offseason going all the way back to trading down with KC in the draft. Sorry, had to be serious for a moment, there
  11. I'm very excited about this QB offseason. Can't wait to see who we draft in the 1st. I could see Tyrod being part of a package deal on draft day to trade up. I could also see Tyrod being kept on the roster for one more year Who knows? If we get Darnold, Mayfield or Rudolph in the 1st... I'll be stoked! A fun few months ahead of us
  12. Ever consider that Keenum is more the product of Shermur than anything? Look how incredible Bradford looked Week 1. Doubt he remotely resembles that under Dennison. So... you mean Keenum's first 5 years as a journeyman might be more representative of who Case Keenum is than what he's done this year under an OC who's about to become a HC somewhere next year because of his spectacular work with bleh QBs? Interesting I hope Dabol is the next guy like that after being wildly successful for a few years molding our new QB we draft in the 1st round this year
  13. So, you're saying that even a mediocre or (your words) suck(y) QB can be good enough to get his team to a conference Championship game, ala Bortles/Foles/Keenum? Go figure
  14. Glad it was worth your time! Sometimes you just need to get stuff off your chest, I get it. I hope there's some substance in there so someone can glean something from it or, at the very least, I hope you're entertaining! Keep fighting the good fight, my man!
  15. Hope this was worth your time for a post that was a tongue in cheek post taking a little light-hearted jab at a previously-banned-poster-under-a-new-name's thread I had fun with mine. The little I read of your post, you sounded upset. Why you mad, bro?
  16. For months, we've heard... "You can't win with Tyrod!" "Tyrod is one of the worst QBs in the league!" "The Bills could never be a serious contender with Tyrod!" But then we made the playoffs for the first time this millennium. And after watching warranted frequent punchline Blake Bortles over the weekend be fortunate enough to be on a team talented enough to beat an all-time great like Ben Roethlisberger, who threw for more than double the yards and 5 times the TDs as Bortles, I really think that stuff can end now. If even Blake Bortles is capable of making an AFC Championship and Tyrod made the playoffs when countless people didn't even give him a shot at being a QB leading a team to the playoffs, then perhaps the world won't end if McDermott and Beane decide to keep Taylor for one more year to make a playoff run. PS: This thread is largely tongue in cheek. Some are about to absolutely flip out. Some will "get it." Truth be told, we're drafting a QB in the 1st, as we should. Taylor might be traded as part of a package to move up. but I think he's more likely a Bill than not. But Taylor really is better than Bortles, the King of Garbage Time.
  17. You're throwing out raw yardage and attempts and "workload" as the sole reasons for him being better? Seriously? Here, quick, which QB is better since you're stuck solely on stats, and why? QB1: 7797 yards 61.5% completion % 7.0 YPA 5.1 YPC 47 TDs 12 INTs QB2: 8760 yards 57.8% completion % 6.5 YPA 5.5 YPC 54 TDs 32 INTs
  18. I don't like to watch videos of people claiming to prove an argument. Not clicking on that. You must be a millennial. Funny you say a "relatively important stat..." not too confident in whatever your argument that I don't currently know, are you? Please, tell the class whatever the hell you're trying to argue. Is your argument "QB PLAYOFF WINNNZZZZ"? I mean now that the Jags have a whole 2 of them? Or you could just do the rational thing and admit that Bortles isn't better than Taylor while understanding at the same time that if you did that you would not also be saying that Taylor is great or even good. This is just a really dumb argument I probably won't waste much more time on if you continue to pretend to believe this stupidity
  19. Have you watched him play? Did you actually bother watching the Bills Vs Jags game where Tyrod clearly outplayed Bortles as a passer? Bortles is NOT a good QB. He's bad. I can't believe you're drawing this line in the sand. It's a dumb one. I don't need to prove anything. Use your PFR you evidently rely completely upon if you're incapable of seeing what most people see which is that Tyrod is a better QB than Bortles. Bortles is just playing on the most talented team in the NFL. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TaylTy00.htm https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BortBl00.htm Tyrod 3.3% higher completion % (significant), 1.5% lower INT % (significant), 1.2 more AY/A (significant), 11.7 higher QBR (significant), consistently higher Total Qbr, 0.4 YPA more, 0.1 YPC more, Higher NY/A and ANY/A. Taylor's got 165 more rushing yards and double the rushing TDs in that span, as well. They have the exact same TD%. Bortles has a couple more 4qc and Gwds but in 20+ more games. What're you going with, exactly YAAAAAARRRRRRDDZZZZZ?????? If it looks like a Troll and smells like a Troll, it must be a Troll Such a shame.
