  1. Holy crap look how open Thompson was!!! Thanks for this clip... I hadn't rewatched the play since the day of the game... I just remember my progression of my thought process on that play... "He's wide ope... should I go to the bathroom while this ball is in the air... ? Awww crap!!!" That pass has been the reason I've been saying since the Summer that Peterman wouldn't be a starter. Dude doesn't have the arm strength to make one of the most common throws in the modern NFL.
  2. What I love about this is the wildly different numbers that come to the same conclusion. The order is exactly the same. Jackson was most negatively impacted by his WRs dropping balls, which should boost his stock up a little. Darnold was least negatively impacted by his WRs dropping balls, which, given his already kinda concerning completion %, might add to whatever red flags there are about him. Absolutely. But it's also why it's good for one set of eyes to look across the board at subjective things like drops so that you have a fairly accurate "ranking" at least of the QBs. Whoever evaluated the drops from these 2 separate places had the exact same order with just Rosen and Mayfield flip-flopped, but still within one spot of each other. I think that's interesting.
  3. Here's something interesting from the Josh Allen thread breakdown article: https://www.diehards.com/national/film-room-josh-allen-good-bad-ugly-mysterious-nfl-draft-prospect/amp?__twitter_impression=true "Allen’s drop percentage was 7.84 percent in 2017, per ProFootballFocus. That total puts him 20th among draft-eligible quarterbacks. It’s a figure that pales in comparison to Baker Mayfield’s 9.49 percent, Rosen’s 11 percent, and Lamar Jackson’s 12.4 percent (Yeesh, can we please get Lamar some help?)." and also "Allen, like many of this year’s top quarterbacks, namely Lamar Jackson and Josh Rosen , is able to flip the strength of the offensive formation, or kill one play at the line of scrimmage and flip to another (run to pass or vice versa)." Meh... maybe I'm warming up to Jackson a bit
  4. "Quick outs and deep outs were a constant part of the Wyoming offense. He’s as good an out-ball thrower as you will ever evaluate," Who does that sound like the opposite of?
  5. Holy crap! Mayfield or Rudolph, please
  6. Give up? If Taylor is still the Bills starting QB this season, I'll still have high hopes for the season and him under Dabol. But what fool wouldn't want Andrew Luck instead... assuming he's healthy? And I'm hoping for Darnold or Mayfield in the draft a little more realistically... I'm sure in the next 2 1/2 months another draft choice will coerce me... I should probably add Rudolph to the list because I like him, too. But if it's Taylor for one more year, I'll enjoy the year.
  7. I said "other veteran/FA/trade," but only if it's Andrew Luck. If not him, my #2 is Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield. If not them, my #3 for week one of this year is probably Tyrod Taylor.
  8. Ummmmmmm.... seriously? No to Luck????? I say... HELL YEAH BABY!!!
  9. A simple "I'm sorry, I miss read your post." Or simply "my bad!" is all you needed here in order to apologize for twisting what was otherwise a very clear post rhetorically simply because of the messenger. Say it 100 times in front of a mirror for practice... "My bad!"
  10. Oooooooohhhhhhhh damn! Touched a nerve there I guess Ummmm, it is a fact, though Taylor is bound to the Bills unless the Bills decide to cut or trade him. How is that not true?
  11. Doubling down I see... still honestly think it's only a 5% chance we retain Taylor
  12. You'd lose that bet... you realize Dennison was fired, right? What tells you McCarron is an upgrade over Taylor? All 79 career passes? Then why didn't every defense he played against just contain him and make him be a QB Nonono... John was right. It was an idiotic exaggeration
  13. Nah... I'll hope for 2015 or better and Dabol being an offensive genius if Taylor starts, thanks
  14. Why did you think that game decided it for him? That question isn't just for you, it's for countless posters who legitimately thought that after the Jags game. Sorry folks, Taylor's one of the 32 best QBs in the NFL at the moment and is bound to the Bills for one more year at a fair price. I still think we upgrade in the draft. We might even trade Taylor as part of a package to move up, though that's seemingly a lot less likely. McDermott is an Andy Reid disciple. Looks like he might follow in his footsteps. Thank you... exactly a point word for word I've been arguing for a looooooonnnng time
  15. Wow... well okay then. None other than every QB has clunkers
  16. If Dabol can pull production out of Taylor at least equal to 2015 somehow and we upgrade at some key positions, why.... we could like... not just make the playoffs, but even win a game or two!
  17. Probably another good example of misreading a post right here... moving on... "I'm not a whiner you can't call me whiny you're and I said it no givezies back you winy baby" okay brah, I hope you have the ability to enjoy your Fall, one way or another
  18. We kind of agree here... but I wouldn't go so far as your guarantee. I actually like him a lot, though Bortles did that? Why... I thought the Jacksonville Jaguars did that Personally, I really couldn't care less if any of you claiming you aren't going to watch if Tyrod is the week 1 starter don't watch. I just think the vast majority of you who say it are full of a bunch of hot air and will be watching the games, so it's just irritating to read people say stuff like this. I think nedboy was accurate in painting a lot of you with the "whiny baby" brush because most of you are whining now and will be back in the Fall, regardless. If you're not one of those, good for you and I hope you enjoy your Fall doing other stuff on Sundays other than watching Bills Football and during the week posting on a Bills message board
  19. Like you were about Bortles?
  20. I'd do that trade minus EITHER the #1 next year OR Cordy Glenn
  21. Forgive me if I don't take your word for it and wait and see if you're still here posting about what happens in the games in 8 months if Taylor our starter at the beginning of the season before believing anyone really isn't going to watch. So much can happen in the next 7 months... who knows, by the time the season is primed to start you might actually be excited to watch the Bills week 1 even if Taylor is the starter
  22. This... this exactly. And if Tyrod is the starter in game 1, the Bills will sell out games as they always do and all the posters who are saying they won't watch the team will come around to watching the team week 1... well, at least all the ones who have been Bills fans for more than a minute. People are just very emotional right now, apparently.
  23. 3 posts in a row... HE WAS BENCHED HE WAS BENCHED HE WAS BENCHED Is that really the reason all the people saying Tyrod will obviously not be a Bill this coming year are clinging to? It seems like the only thing anyone ever points to when you ask them why they think he'll be off the roster
  24. All of everything I say is just my opinion about what happened in the past. I don't feel like I present them as "absolutes," but if you take them as me trying to say they're "absolutes," don't. You're speaking in absolutes. As far as McDermott not being a "knee-jerk guy," I agree, but it makes sense if this report (there were a few of these out there like this, but this was just the first I came to) is true: I view it as McDermott looking at Dennison as being the offensive mind, giving him the benefit of the doubt considering he was the offensive mind, making the change on Dennison's behalf, and then hastily putting Tyrod back in after 30 minutes of football and going back to the "Tyrod is our starter" mantra. In the end, everyone can go against their nature or beliefs if convinced persuasively enough. McDermott did, realized in an "OH CRAP!!!!!" moment that he shouldn't have, and has gone back to the calculated guy he was before that uncharacteristic move. Hence, the "Taylor is our starter" mantra again. All of the above is merely an educated guess. Childish? No. Sarcastic? Yes. Sorry, I'm a sarcastic guy... can't change what I am
