  1. Didn't do it and not doing it. I will happily creep into what I anticipate will be the many other Josh Allen threads. I already got one prediction right I was able to start a thread for, anyway
  2. ... you know what and who this is about... And then my favorite...
  3. Anyone really surprised with this result? Love that the Pats beat the Bengals in week 1!
  4. Why is it obvious? To me it's clear they're confident Taron will be back for at least the Ravens game if not the Texans game and Bernard (if not on IR by Monday) will be back for at least the Jets game if not the Texans game.
  5. Great representation of what this board should be. I also admit it was small of me to keep poking and prodding. In the future I will try my darndest to make sure any further posts in this thread by me aren't of that nature Let's hug.
  6. You guys are being ridiculous. Gregg Tompsett broke this down nicely. This is essentially a 3 year, $39 million contract that we can easily get out of after the 3rd year. He's the 17th highest paid tackle in the NFL based on overall AAV and his total guaranteed money ranks 20th among tackles as far as % of total contract value. Good deal for both sides. And Brown played well in week 1 so seems like he's picking up where he left off last season.
  7. Listened to the NFL Daily Podcast with Gregg Rosenthall this morning (really fun and informative podcast btw) and in previewing the TNF game, they talked about the old Von Miller being back. Apparently Von Miller was credited with 5 pressures. I assume that's in addition to his sack. Those types of advanced stats are the ones you get on paid subscriptions like PFF and the all-new NFL Pro that shows like NFL Daily subscribe to. Even if not, those pressures with a sack and QB hit mixed in along with a few good plays in the run game probably have @GunnerBill, who objectively reviews All-22 film, finally conceding Von had an impactful game. Good on you for your objectivity Gunner!
  8. He probably just hasn't been saying much of anything at all about Buffalo, either. It's how he operates. I wouldn't be remotely surprised if Buffalo beats the Fins this weekend and Josh looks like a stud he suddenly leaps them not only into the top 10 but the top 5
  9. A couple more good plays against the run... hmmmmm
  10. Here's a play where Von wins his rep, reads the RB and forces him inside but doesn't get the tackle.
  11. See... I don't just say "ah you just don't like Von..." because I humored you and posted the play itself and explained it all the way through. If you see it very differently, then you see it incorrectly. If you want to just keep seeing it incorrectly, then keep arguing. Problem is that as far as that play is concerned, you're wrong. And yet you call your perception--the wrong one, by the way... objectively the wrong one--"the reality." It's just silly. I don't need anyone to agree with me as far as that play is concerned because you can't agree or disagree with a fact... and the fact is that Von clearly was most responsible for that sack and had a very good rep to earn it. You can disagree with that all you want... but disagreeing with a fact makes you look dumb.
  12. Dude... I legitimately thought you were bigger than this. You're wrong. You can say you want to see more out of Von and that would be perfectly reasonable. You could even say you wanted to see more out of him in the game I guess, but the previous graphic with his high pass rush win rate despite the low snap volume would largely negate that. The problem is your position is that one rep that was very clearly an excellent play on Von's part was pure luck due to 2 other players who forced Kyler to move up in the pocket... even though one of the players you claim forced him to move up was 5 yards in front of him in the exact direction he moved. Are you trying to say Ed Oliver is so fat he has his own gravitational pull and sucked Murray into it? Or maybe he used a jedi mind trick to pull the miniscule QB towards him? You're bizarrely clinging to a position on that rep that absolutely everyone agrees is wrong. But go ahead and use the disagree reaction button for the 100th time.
  13. Now you've gone from being overly sensitive to being desperate. Sad And now a bit of old man anger mixed in
  14. I would assume that @GunnerBill will change his tune shortly since he's hard at work OBJECTIVELY watching the All-22 and will surely see this By the way Gunner... this right here was your original portrayal of what happened on the play. You've clearly backtracked in this thread alone while not admitting it because there's no other way to interpret this post than that you're saying Von lucked into a sack while Groot and Ed did all the work. You're being ridiculous.
  15. Not only was Von the reason the sack happened. He was also the only player on that side of the ball to contain Kyler after Oliver stunts inside. Without Von doing what he did, the entire right side of the field is open for Murray to run or pass. And Von didn't just benefit from the QB tripping... he caused it. Do you seriously not see that? It's plain as day. You seem overly sensitive about this issue and that sensitivity is clearly blinding you.
  16. Okay Gunner... look at this play again How on Earth are you looking at this as Kyler being forced up because of Groot and Ed and not Von? Kyler is clearly seeing the pressure from Von who's overpowering the Tackle and pushing him directly towards him. THAT'S the primary reason Murray moves up in the pocket and Miller's force of the Tackle into the pocket is what causes the QB to trip. I don't even understand why you bring up Oliver as a factor when he's 5 yards away from Murray as he hits his back foot and never even really comes close to the QB. Groot may have won his rep and we can all acknowledge that 11 guys play on both sides of the football and a successful play is usually a testament to more than just one player, but it's quite obvious it's Von's pressure that causes Kyler to step up in the pocket and Miller's force on the Tackle that causes the Tackle to trip. How old are you Gunner? Maybe it's that age that you need glasses.
  17. Okay... you might not trust them... doesn't change you being wrong. Even your initial assessment of the sack was wrong. And it's so obviously wrong when you actually watch the clip.
  18. The Cover_1 crew also gave Von credit for that sack on their film room episode yesterday. They also noted pressure he put on Kyler on the final 4th down play. You're wrong. And that's okay. It happens.
  19. Wow... this is kinda small of you
  20. Uhhhh... no. Was that a dream you had? Here's the rep Joe Marino did his All-22 review today... he said this might have been his favorite game from Von Miller as a Bill. Boy... You're batting 1000
  21. Groot gets all the attention and deservedly so, but he already basically exceeded what he did for the entire season last year in one game. When Von was on the field, you noticed him. 1 sack and 1 TFL as his impact plays aside, he was consistently a menace in the backfield. And anyone who doesn't want to give him credit for that sack should go watch the play again because he bull rushed the Tackle right into Murray, which caused it. I was pretty confused at the amount of people saying things like "he has something like a 5% chance to do anything this season." Who knows what his sack production is for the rest of the season, but barring injury, he clearly looks like he'll be a net positive for our DL. Hope the Von doubters find that Crow tasty
