I actually just consistently posted new images for him to use every other day because posting the same image and telling him to "man up" was me spamming the board. In the end, @Boyst62 wound up taking the avatar I posted for @Deranged Rhino because @Deranged Rhino has no integrity. That was all before they banned me on the eve of the 6th, when the insurrection happened. They've probably fully converted themselves from a faux Bills message board to a full 4-chan knock off already.

They ended the season with the same record. According to FootballOutsiders' DVOA metric Indy was the 10th best team in the NFL and Cleveland was the 18th best. The Colts were almost universally considered a better team than the Browns.

Just to let you know, Josh Allen said in a recent interview (I can't remember if it was the DP show or a post game interview or what) that he's been watching the national media. They pay attention. And if you think the negative or neglectful stuff isn't being used as fuel in some way, you're kidding yourself. Now, the sign of a well-coached team is one that channels the attention properly. Basically... ignore everything good said about you and pay extra attention to everything bad or any time you're "left out." That's what "bulletin board material" means. I don't think they're "worrying" about it. I bet they're using it as fuel, though.

The truth is that the national media was pretty consistently picking the 5th seeded Ravens to beat the Bills last weekend. Fairburn and Buscaglia are pretty well on the Bills bandwagon and don't seem to be picking against them anymore. But they're part of the WNY media more than the national media. I'm noticing it's the guys who cover the Bills closely are the only guys picking them. That goes for the guy over at ESPN assigned to Buffalo, too. But the Bills players were correct that the Ravens were the perceived favorites outside of the local WNY media and guys assigned to Buffalo. For CBS Sports 6 out of 8 of the "experts" pick the Ravens. For ESPN 6 out of 9 picked the Ravens For USA Today 5 out of 7 picked the Ravens For Bleacherreport 2 out of 3 picked the Ravens Florio and Simms both picked the Ravens over the Bills... and no one's going to say they're Bills haters by any means Gregg Rosenthal picked the Ravens. It's not a "made-up" narrative.

We're watching different stuff. Lately instead of actually watching all the shows in order to get a relatively small amount of meaningful Bills discussion I've been going on YouTube just typing in "Buffalo Bills" for the latest analysis on the latest games. The narratives I posted above have come from plenty of outlets and respected analysts who are NOT ESPN or Skip Bayless. Today on GMFB, just as a single example, they were debating Josh Allen and potential Superstar status. I think it was Schrager who basically said Allen needs to be spectacular against the Chiefs to reach superstar status because he's been underwhelming in the playoffs. Underwhelming? The only reason we won the Colts game was because of Allen, who threw for over 300 yards, rushed for over 50 and had 3 TDs and 0 turnovers. Allen was fantastic against the Colts who have one of the best Defenses in the NFL. But for a highly respected football guy--and that's what Schrager is--it was forgotten. As for the whole "small town attitude" some of you are referencing... well... yep. I'm from WNY and am darn proud of what my team's doing while I live 6,000 miles away. Forgive those of us who have WNY roots if we feel our team deserves more honest attention.

If Mahomes plays and plays well and we lose, we just aren't quite there yet. I prefer the Bills being the Patriots of the Brady/Manning era rather than the Colts.

I agree. It's fundamentally not true that we didn't beat anybody. I GUARANTEE that if Mahomes doesn't play, the media narrative will be that we escaped the Colts because Rivers missed a guy in the EZ, we beat the Ravens because Jackson was out for a quarter and a half and missed an easy TD on the 3rd down right before that INT, and we beat the Chiefs because... well, obviously they don't have Mahomes. Now, I don't agree with the first 2 of those, but those are actually narratives that are already spinning out there right now. It'll just get stronger leading up to the Super Bowl if we beat the Chiefs without Mahomes. Give me Mahomes. Let's beat him. And let's go into the Super Bowl brimming with confidence.

Buddy, you know the thread title is pretty specific in terms of that credit, right? I'm not here saying the Bills are a crappy team, but as another poster said, you living in England and (perhaps???) not having WNY roots might not help you to actually see that most of the conversation nationally right now is about the Bucs, Packers and Chiefs. I asked you to find something involving someone talking about how tough the teams are compared to those other teams' competition. Honestly, based on the gap in competition, it seems like someone nationally would have talked about it at some point. It's an obvious talking point for someone. So I asked you hoping you'd heard someone talking about it, because you seemed to insinuate they've been given credit for it. It's who he is...

It's important because the Bills have had one of the toughest schedules in the NFL and have one of the best records in the NFL. And they have had the toughest path to the Conference Championship game. What don't you get?

To a certain degree they do. But I think this is a multiple Super win Bowl team. I will obviously take a win against a Mahomes-less Chiefs, but beating them with him under center would be more meaningful. Plus we don't get a ring for winning the AFC Championship game. We get a ring if we win the Super Bowl. I think this team is more like the 80's 49ers and 90's Cowboys than the one-off 2003 Bucs, especially now with Daboll and probably Frazier back again next year. I want to go into Arrowhead and beat the Chiefs as they are. Can you post me a link to more than one article/video with people praising the Bills for having the toughest playoff path among the teams remaining?

I really want Mahomes back and at full strength. I want him back because I think we can win. Beating the Chiefs without Mahomes is just going to set up a ridiculous narrative going into the Super Bowl that we didn't beat anyone to get there. The truth of the matter is that the Bills have had the hardest path to the conference championship of all 4 teams by far. The Chiefs had to beat the Browns. I'm sorry... the Browns are improved and all... but they're the Browns. And they had a hobbled Myles Garrett. The Browns finished the 2020 regular season as the 18th best team in terms of DVOA according to FootballOutsiders. The Bucs had to beat the Washington Football team that had a losing record during the regular season and then a Saints team with a QB who obviously had one foot out the door and deteriorated abilities. Plus, it was the 3rd time playing that same team, so plenty of game film and up close experience. The Packers beat a warm weather team in the cold of Green Bay essentially without its best player on the field. Buffalo is the only team of that bunch to beat not just one, but two teams in the top 10 of FootballOutsiders DVOA. And that was just a totality of the season as a whole... the Ravens were playing as one of the hottest and most intimidating teams in the NFL. And let's be honest, we handled Indy pretty well. Yes I realize it ended up being a 3 point game, but we were up by 14 early in the 4th quarter and kept that lead. And for as much as a lot of people are pointing to the Tucker FG misses... our FG kicker missed 2 FGs, too. And if the wind weren't there, maybe the FG misses don't happen... but I also bet that Allen hits on at least 1 or 2 of those deep passes he missed. The fact is that we handled 2 of the better teams in the NFL to reach the Conference Championship game. And we can absolutely beat the Chiefs at full strength. And then we can absolutely beat either the Packers or Bucs at full strength. This Buffalo Bills team has played and beaten tough teams throughout the year. And these first 2 playoff games were wins in wildly different ways. In the Colts game, Allen took over. We don't win that game without him. In the Ravens game, our Defense took over. That's something no one thought they could do. Bring on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Arrowhead stadium. I want Buffalo to beat the best to be the best.

I thought Colin's last co-host Kristine Leahy was much hotter. Somethin funny lookin about Joy Taylor... though it could just be my engrained association with her brother.

Clearly a doubter. The beauty of bad weather games is that both QBs on both teams need to play in the same weather. Allen is built for bad weather games. Our game against Baltimore was a bad weather game. He outperformed his competition... by a lot. We're good.

Big difference between playing psychic and predicting wins and being a "doubter." I know the Bills can win any game against any team in the NFL. They're a legit Super Bowl contender moving forward. That doesn't mean they'll win every game. I'm 100% circling the wagons... but sorry, I won't crown us Super Bowl Champs til we win it.

That should have been a TD. It's an easy catch compared to those 2 sideline catches last week.

I think some are being overly harsh in terms of Allen and especially Daboll vs. the Ravens. Daboll I generally understand the game plan and am fine with it. And I've been a huge critic of his for the last 3 years. But frankly, Josh Allen is the best player on the team and Diggs is the 2nd best player. Our OL has been quietly spectacular at pass blocking all season and not very good at run blocking. On top of that, we lost Moss last week, who was the better RB this season in an already below average RB corps. Once Yeldon was activated and the fan-favorite from week 17 Williams became inactive, it was pretty obvious we were going to come out passing. And you can argue that we shouldn't have called so many deep passes in the wind, but I think those shots ended up keeping the Ravens D honest and opened up the short to intermediate game, which was working well. The winds obviously affected the deep passes just like they affected FG kicking, but I'd guess Daboll was in Allen's ear that misses on the deep passes are fine as long as they aren't picked. And we were moving the ball fairly effectively in the 1st half against the best D I think Buffalo has faced all year and will face in the last game or (hopefully) 2 that they play. Davis should have had a TD. And the passing game in the first half opened up the run game a bit in the 2nd half, specifically for that first TD drive coming right out of the half. I wish we could run the ball, too. But I don't think we have the RBs or OL to do it very much. Daboll didn't call a flawless game, but he called a pretty darn good game against a great D. If I were to critique him--and this is a season long critique--it's that I think when he decides to commit a little more to the run, he goes to the well 1 or 2 times too often. Yesterday at one point in the 2nd half Singletary got a good gain on 1st down and then we ran almost the same play on 2nd down and he was stuffed. I understand the theory, but I think he should just count his blessings we got positive yardage and get the ball back in the hands of his most dynamic players. Allen I think I covered some of it above, but I was actually impressed by him. Yes he had another fumble, but this one wasn't really his fault the way it was against the Colts. He was otherwise incredibly careful with the football. I can't think of a single pass that was nearly intercepted, can you? All of his deep passes that he missed were out of reach of absolutely anyone, including the pass to Diggs in double coverage that I think a lot of people were highly critical of. I think I was expecting Allen to run the ball more, but there were a number of plays that looked like RPOs where he chose to pass instead of run or hand off and overall, they seemed to be good decisions. In the end, that wind just wreaked havoc on the game, but that wind was precisely the reason we drafted Allen in the first place. Other than those deep passes missed probably in part to the wind, Allen was fantastic in the short to intermediate passing game with some of his weekly "WOW!!!" passes like that one to Brown on the sideline that Al Michaels initially said was out of bounds. Heck, he completed 62% of his passes in that wind even with those deep misses while playing with an absence of 2 of his favorite targets in Beasley and Davis. He saw what our D was doing and did a good job in terms of finding a way to get a lead and then protecting that lead. I honestly went into yesterday's game thinking that we'd lose. I know that sounds bad, but I just thought the Ravens offense would be able to score against our D and that our offense hadn't seen a D as strong and intimidating as Baltimore's. I was wrong and am so glad I was. I won't doubt this team again. I wouldn't predict a Super Bowl win, but this team is ABSOLUTELY more than capable of beating absolutely ANY team remaining in the playoffs in the AFC or NFC. Welcome back to the AFC Championship game, Buffalo!!!!

Great find. Yes it's pretty clear he at least got a small piece of that ball, but I think Johnson was there to intercept it, regardless.

I don't follow any other teams closely enough to be able to agree that they're the closest team in the NFL, but I've been sayin for awhile that this team really and truly seems to love each other. From the high-pitched "WE LOVE YOU JOSH ALLEN!!" from Beasley and Feliciano to Dawkins CONSTANTLY talking about his love for Allen to Allen getting video-bombed by his teammates in almost every post-game on-field interview to that interview with Diggs and Allen yesterday... you can tell there's a lot of love with this team. Diggs and Allen legitimately look like they're best friends. In the end I think we'll all agree that Diggs is the best non-draft acquisition the Buffalo Bills have ever made.

Sounds right. I'm 39 years old and have been a fan for probably 31 or 32 years. My life essentially revolves around the Bills during football season. When they win, my entire week is good. When they lose, all I want to do is get to the next game to get that sour taste out of my mouth. Night losses are the worst because I can't sleep. I think tonight I won't sleep well no matter what. If we lose I'll be depressed playing the "what if" game in my head. If we win I'll be so excited playing a different "what if" game. I think being a Bills fan is just different.
