I don't think you need a sound defense, you need denver's super bowl level defense, a much more stout oline, several top shelf recievers, a back up rb, possibly a starting rb in a year or two...how do you put that together ? Drafts are a crapshoot at best...I just don't see it happening. Need pure fast release accurate passers in this nfl or you are just playing from behind.

TT is imho getting a bit of a raw deal, being on a club that has a loser tag and the butt of every single football joke (even though browns are a bigger joke), drought etc. His style of play needs to have a perfectly built to suit team to accommodate his skill set...Building that team from scratch is nearly impossible, and by the time they finished (if) that perfect build he would be all done. We've seen worse, but for the buffalo bills that isn't saying a lot. In my opinion, i think the jets would be a perfect landing spot for him.

Also the general decline of talent, look at the 90s...there was so many good qbs and general all around good talent. The talent and qb pool has become homogenized, so many medicore teams, less stars, has made football less enjoyable. And yes the ref nonsense is really out of control. You should not feel anxiety waiting for a flag every single play, and being surprised when one doesn't drop.
