Since I have been living in Florida, I have been to the Mets practice in PS Lucie 4 times and have gotten 21 autographed baseballs. All the Mets players will sign autographs and take pics with fans. Very fan/family friendly. Some players are a lot harder to get an autograph from because of the large number of people trying to get an autograph. If they signed for everyone they would be there for a couple of hours. Syndergaard was the hardest for me to get. The last time I was there, I was talking to this girl who really wanted an Adrian Gonzalez autograph. We decided that I would try to help her get Gonzalez and she would help me get Syndergaard. I got a Gonzalez autograph but she couldn't and she got Syndergaard but I couldn't so we traded baseballs.

Happy Birthday Shady. If you go out to a restaurant to celebrate, make sure you bring a couple of quarters for the tip.

The last few years, I used to go to the MLB Mets message board. I didn't sign up, I just liked to read what people had to say after each game. They did away with that board before the start of this season and I'm glad they did. This thread is way better. No fighting or insults like the other board, just Mets fans with friendly discussion and great comments. Thanks to all who keep this thread active.

Funny story about Leslie Nielsen. My cousin is an autograph collector and shortly after the OJ not guilty verdict, he met Nielsen and gave him a picture to sign. It was a photo of Leslie at the Naked Gun premier and he was standing next to OJ. Leslie autographed the picture and under OJ he wrote the word "GUILTY"

I have the MLB extra innings package but I don't have ESPN so I was going to miss this game. I checked the score and it was 0-0 in the 5th so I decided to go to Beef O'Brady's and watch the end of the game. I'm glad I did. I know it's just one game, but shutting out the Yankees is so sweet!! Let's Go Mets!!
