Greg Cosell - “I don’t think they have a number 1 WR”
Steptide replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm all for drafting 3 receivers this upcoming draft. Load Allen up with all the weapons. I litterally don't care if our defense drops to the mid teens as far as rank. We need a cut throat offense that is practically unstoppable. We have 10 draft picks. No reason, even with the cap, we can't build a championship team- 169 replies

Just announce it's Brady already

It seems to me, that the defense is what always falls short in the playoffs. Ofcourse it'll always seem that way in a loss, but that's what stands out to me. Houston in 2019, giving up a 16 point lead. 2020 against kc in afc championship, just got absolutely pummeled, had zero pass rush. 2021 against kc, absolute enbaresment giving up the lead with 13 seconds left. No clue what happened last year with the bengals. The team didn't even show up. And then this year again, the defense couldn't get a stop. Kc was matching our offense all night

How do you explain Diggs invisibility act
Steptide replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Personally I think it's just scheme. None of our receivers had a big year by nfl standards. I think whoever is our oc next year is gonna wipe the slate clean. We've been playing Dorseys system for 2 seasons. I think it got figured out (statistically we were good last year) but I don't think there was enough adjustments made on the offense this season, and probably partly why Dorsey was fired -
He was? I kinda thought he sucked

Was the Bills/Chiefs Game decided in Week 18?
Steptide replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Imo the bills lost not because of injuries or lack of rest, but a crappy game plan. The defense on both teams was a wash honestly. Our d line did nothing, but theirs didn't do anything either. McDermott or whoever over thought the game plan and as close as the game was, we lost. Instead of just playing loose and throwing to score, they tried to eat clock and keep it close. It was stupid. Just play your game. -
Personally, I thought if we beat kc, we would lose to Baltimore. Baltimore Imo is just a bad match up for the bills. I would've still loved to had the chance, but I think beating kc would've just delayed our dissapointment and anger by a week

I didn't watch either part, but I think it's been obvious to most fans that their concepts have been crap since Dorsey took over. I don't know how much Brady could've possibly changed being thrown into the roll mid season. They need a serious offensive scheme over hall this offseason

It's just in fun. You could look at it alot of ways. Some could say we suck the life out of teams and they can't recover from a game against us

Beane & McDermott end of season press conferences
Steptide replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Glad beane recognizes they desperately need wr help -
Ya uhhhh this the 6th year staright kc has been in the afc championship game. I'm 110% rooting for Baltimore. Last thing on earth I wanna see for the next 3 weeks straight is kc and Taylor swift nfl love fest

Imo McDermott has taken alot more criticism than deserved. If anything, I think they failed with the sherfield and Harty signings. They litterally got nothing out of them. I'll say too that maybe McD held onto Dorsey longer than he should've. A full off season with Brady might change this offense alot. Who knows though

I'm just as mad/dissapointed that we lost last night as any other bills fan today. Last week I heard alot on local sports talk radio about how this was our year and how if we just beat kc, it's gotta be our year finally. OK, based on what?! The last 8 games have been fun. Nobody thought this team would win the division, let alone be the 2 seed and host 2 home playoff games. Having said that, our offense needs serious help. Allen is an absolute animal, but he can't do absolutely everything. I've seen Diggs take alot of flack today on social media and it's well deserved. He's been non existentent the last 8 or so games. Harty and sherfield were complete non factors the entire season. Gabe played nowhere near what we (and the team) expected. Knox was hurt and even when he wasn't, he wasn't exactly a game changer. Kinkaid and Shakir were the lone bright spots, and Shakir really didn't show up until after Dorsey was gone. Cook was great, but we need more. The defense came through, even as beat up as they've been, but in today's nfl you cannot rely solely on the defense. WGR brought up a great point this morning, saying how kc has won superbowls when their defense was ranked in the mid 20's. We need more offense. I could go on and on, but Imo this wasn't the team that was gonna win it all. I was worried about last night's game, and even had they pulled it out, I'd never believe they could get through Baltimore. Houston has a similar offense to Buffalo and they couldn't muster more than 3 points on offense against Baltimore. Ya I know they have a rookie qb, but stroud is a beast. It'll be super interesting to see what kc does against Baltimore next week. I think Baltimore beats kc by 10 🤷 thanks for letting me vent

I'm not on the fire McDermott train yet, but I will say if they don't greatly improve the offensive players this off season (like better wide receivers) I'll definitely jump on that train. Allen is a beast, and they're handicapping him with the offensive weapons they're giving him. Harty and sherfield were absolute busts this season. Shakir and kinkaid were really the 2 bright spots. Who knows with Diggs. They need to invest heavily in the offense this off season

The Million-Dollar Question Sticking in My Mind
Steptide replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've said it all season and I'll say it again, I was screaming for DeAndre Hopkins. He would've been a difference maker in this offense, and honestly we may have won the game last night if we had him. We have a very handicapped offense. Diggs is nowhere to be found the last 8 weeks -
Anyone else more low-key about this loss than you thought you'd be?
Steptide replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I had a feeling at some point the defensive injuries, and lack of good receivers would catch up to the bills, and to some degree it did last night. Bills defense couldn't do anything to stop kc's offense. Our offense couldn't make a play over 20 yards. Josh Allen was the entire bills team last night. I feel terrible for him, but this offense needs weapons and the defense needs to get healthy. I feared the bills would lose this game and unfortunately they did. -
Divisional Playoffs - Chiefs at Bills - Post game thread
Steptide replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nah, I've been saying these things since we lost to Denver. Right or wrong, having a depleted defense and multiple starters out week after week is only gonna hold up so long. Allen got back to himself after Brady took over, but when he has no receivers, it'll only last so long. 0 plays of over 20 yards, while kc had 6(?). I'm sorry but I do not think these receivers would play good against Baltimore in there stadium. -
Divisional Playoffs - Chiefs at Bills - Post game thread
Steptide replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, sleeping sucked last night, but here's a few of my thoughts - We had a chance to win and Josh made some dumb passes at the end and Ofcourse bass sucked. Having said that, this team over achieved the last half of the season. Half our defense was hurt. We have no wide receivers and our number one can't even catch the ball. This was not the team to win it all. However, getting healthy and adding a few pieces and this team can definitely win it all next year. Even if we pulled this game out, I don't think we would've beat Baltimore -

I don't know what's worse, Taylor swift being at the bills stadium, or CBS showing her 30 times during the game 🤮
