Bills @ Detroit 1st Half thread

Not sweating this at all. These offensive plays are completely different from last week. No throws over the middle. They're obviously working on some different schemes -

Lots of running tonight -
Pre season games are going nowhere.

I've had this idea for a few years - Cut pre season to 3 games. Game 1 would be as normal, game 2 would be the "dress rehearsal" and game 3 would be the all backup and bubble guys (as the 4th pre season game is now). Then after game 3, every team has 2 full weeks to the start of the season Expand the regular season to 17 games. This keeps all 20 games while shortening pre season and only adding 1 regular season game. Add 2 teams from each conference to the playoffs for a total of 14 teams. Benefits of this : less injuries from a shortened pre season. More revenue due to 17th game and 2 more teams in playoffs. Happier players because they will recieve more pay from added game and its the same amount of games as before (including pre season) -
Brady was throwing quite a bit early in the game Still think Arizona will be the worst team this year
-
Doesnt exactly have a great team around him. having said that, yes he's a backup
-
It is funny to me when he talks about Tyrod and how good he was, or how he never turned the ball over.... Like, big deal, he never threw the ball, that's why he never turned it over. Tyrod wasn't good. He was average at best
-
I think he is a true professional no doubt, but I think his biggest downfall (and why he never gets better) is the fact that he has too much confidence in himself. He never got better or worse in his time here, and watching the Chargers game, he's still the exact same qb.

As much as I love seeing the bills play well, I will contain my excitement for the regular season. I do think McDermott has done a great job with the team so far, but I need to see wins when it counts.
-
I still don't think everyone should get too excited just yet. Dont forget how much Peterman tore up the panthers last pre season. I definitely think the bills are a much improved team no doubt, but let's see how things go next week. Beasley is gonna be invaluable for Allen this season

10 observations Bills v. Panthers
Steptide replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My biggest observation is that this offense is becoming a passing offense (finally). Lots of throwing and I love it. -
Only reason I'm still watching this game is to see if wade can break a big one again
-
I hope wade makes the practice squad. He could potentially be something one day
-
Pretty sad isn't it

I don't think there is any case to be made about any raiders player last night. The Cardinals are so incredibly bad. I predict they have 1 win this season.

Peterman is gonna be 20/20 for 250 yards and 3 tds the way Arizona is playing tonight -

Arizona is gonna be horrendous this season -
Take it for what it's worth, sorry if already posted

I've said it before and I'll say It again. I'm glad the Peterman experiment is over here, but I really hope he makes a team and has a great redemption story. As long as I've been a football fan, I've never seen anyone handle complete failure as well as he did. I give him a ton of credit for that and wish him the best.

Totally agree and have been saying the same thing for a few years now. Before AT&T took over, their customer service was fantastic. Always spoke to someone that spoke english and they were good about any issue you had. Now it's like talking to a brick wall and pulling teeth to talk to someone in the states. I will say they are still pretty helpful if you can get them to transfer you to someone in America. My brother had directv for a few years and had a ton of problems with their streaming app and they couldn't give him a reason it wouldn't work. They've declined greatly
-
So they're showing one pre season game and all the regular season games? What kinda sense does that make Apparently the areas that CBS owns CBS directly are back on the air. I guess areas where CBS is owned by nexstar, it's still blacked out. Such bs
-
Where I live I can barely pick up channels. Occasionally I can get cbs, but any bad weather (like last night) and I get Nothin
-
Call center workers who 4 days ago said they'd send me a free antenna that plugs into my cable box for local channels, only to tell me last night that this antenna they were supposed to send (which they didn't and never told they wernt sending it) doesnt work with my directv box? Yes, innocent call center employees who are other countries and can't understand what I'm asking

Good to know. Wonder why it would work on Hulu and not YouTube TV. Where do u live?
