[Please Change Title] This is a loss I can deal with
Steptide replied to WMDman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No loss should be THAT upsetting this year. We were out of the playoffs after week 2. This year is the re build. It's frustrating but Whatev -
Snow Shovelers needed at New Era
Steptide replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know it wouldn't happen, but a small part of me could see McDermott having the team shovel the stadium during practice as a team building exercise -
I guess this is that "culture" that McDermott preaches. When things go bad in Jacksonville (and other teams) fingers start getting pointed. Here, guys stay optimistic and keep fighting (I think)

Wow Marrone sucks. 8 plays inside the 5 yard line and he runs on 7 of them.

Honestly no Thank you. I know the NFL probably gave us 3 home games in December in hopes there'd be another game like the Colts last year, but I wanna see Allen throw and recievers make plays. -
I'll watch it, cuz there's nothing else on.

Where are you on the spectrum??
Steptide replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To answer the original question, I'm in the cautiously optimistic crowd. I love Allen's fire. I can't remember the last qb we had who lost a game (on a 4-7 team) that looked like he had just lost the national championship game in college in his post game presser (speaking of Allen after the Miami loss this last Sunday). So yes I think there is something special there, but I'll contain my excitement for now. -

I keep hearing about this "Allen is a bust" crowd, but I have no idea who/where they are. I'd say 75% of fans are cautiously optimistic, while 25% are certain he's the next Kelly. I read almost nothing on here, or hear nothing from local radio about Allen being a bust or the wrong pick -
Bills have released Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes

At this point I'd be down with bringing Reilly back. What's there to lose -

NFL Officials are making a great game tough to watch

I'm glad they're not calling the massive pass interference calls like they were a few years ago. -
Do Bills fans have a napoleon complex?

I can tell you half way through last year I was over Tyrod. Was happy when he got benched for Peterman. Glad he's gone. He had bright moments, but Tyrod is NOT a franchise qb in any way I wanted to keep Fitz when we drafted manuel. Thought he'd be a perfect mentor for him. Fitz is not a franchise qb either, but he's a great backup. Allen has not proven to me yet that he's a franchise qb. He only has 7 starts. He's very young in his career and he's gonna have really. Good games and really bad games. Let's see if he can improve again this week. -
Anyone know what the record is for a qb running in a game? Allen had 135 today, that's gotta be close
-
You have a short memory then. I'd maybe take losman off that list, but Edwards and Fitz definitely played outstanding for the bills for a short time. Edwards in 08 started 5-1 and looked like the next Kelly. Then got injured and was never the same. Fitz pulled the impossible and beat Brady and the Pats in 2011 and started 5-2 only to drop off again like Edwards. Allen has a much better skill set than both those guys, and I'm pretty sure he'll get better, but there is no gaurentee of that

When they showed the replay during the game I noticed it. Wasn't sure who it was though. Thought it was a trainer or something. Kinda funny -
Green Bay Packers: HC Mike McCarthy fired
Steptide replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ya im a bit surprised they fire him after a game. Didn't even wait until tomorrow -
I'll start by saying that I'm not 100% sold on Allen just yet. I think he has areas he needs to improve on, and we may not see some of those improvements this year. Having said that, I was blown away by his play today. The first half was pretty dismal, but the second half may just be his best play all year. One thing I really like about him, is that he has been using multiple recievers. Part of that could be dabolls's scheme. If I'm remembering correctly, he hit zay, Benjamin, Thompson, DiMarco, foster, mckenzie and shady. I was just as upset as anyone here after we lost today, but I think McDermott and beane found a gem. Allen hates to lose and he has that same fire Kelly had. I'm just picturing Allen a year or even two years from now with talent. Lookout afc.

Until we sort this officiating we are going nowhere
Steptide replied to Jasovon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think the neck tackle on Allen was a penalty. They could've called it a horse collar, but Imo that would've been a reach. The refs are frustrating, but if we had won this game, the refs would be 1% of the conversation right now -
Dude it's a message board, in a section where you can post about pretty much anything. Relax a bit

Looked depleted in his post game pc. This dude is a gamer. I have no doubt he's gonna be great if he can continue to develop every week
