So white people make up 88% of the population? Interesting. Black people make up 12% of the population, but the rooney rule applies to persons of color, who make up 37% of the population. So yes, I would agree with the OP because of math. The math is even more galling when you consider the nuance of the racial disparity in a league where 75% of players are minorities and 75% of head coaches are white.

This guy is looking for work and probably fits The Process

That's what i said, but anyway, I agree 100%

I should have noted that I say this as someone who doesn't believe in "diversity hires". The best candidate should get the job - that can include reasons related to the nature of their "diverse" status. maybe they have unique perspective or have faced adversity others haven't. A minority shouldn't just get jobs because they're minorities though. That's not at all what the Rooney Rule is and it's not at all what happens as a result of it.

I requires an interview. In other words it requires you to spend a couple hours of your time considering an option that's underrepresented. But please, tell us more about what a travesty it is.

This is just plainly wrong. Mahomes was sacked 4 times for 40 yards - at crucial times compared to 2 for 8 against us (one was a -.5 yard scramble). The Bengals got consistent pass rush and their corners dealt with the receivers much better. We gave Mahomes a 33/44-378-3-0 line with a 123 rating compared to 26/39-275-3-2 with a 91 rating against the Bengals. Big time sacks, shutting down the big plays, and getting sacks was the difference in the ballgame. The Bengals in no way outgunned our offense Our #1 defense was a bloated metric due to beating up trash opponents with one of the three easiest schedule sin the league. They fell flat against big time competition.

literally, yes. Did you even watch our game or the Bengals game? Defense is undeniably what cost us and won the Bengals that game, despite Burrow's gaudy box score.

Honestly what do you do moving forward?

Looks like Cinci did it with great secondary play and pass rush rush. That works too. -
Offseason Trade Prediction: We acquire Saquan

I would bet that saquon doesn't get traded at all and he's going to be the centerpiece of the offense. If he does, he won't go for any less than a 2nd a 3rd and a starting calibre player. When healthy he is a top back. -
What would you like to see from next years offense/ new OC?

a slant. -
With Allen, can the Bills de-emphasize skill positions?

Diggs is as much of a top-end WR as we need and Davis fills in great as a #2 and deep threat. beyond that it's important to get a player with some shiftiness for the slot, but they don't need to carry the kind of cap that Cole does. McKenzie on a bridge deal would be fine, otherwise I'll look for someone in the later rounds to compete with stevenson, hodgins and some value free agents. I think what would help us more than anything is a couple of really good pass catching and pass blocking RBs. They don't have to be top of the line, but NE has made hay with that committee based approach for years and I'd like to have someone like james white, kevin faulk, shane vareen, etc. A second TE that's not useless would be nice too. -

The Giants aren't going to trade Barkley and they would be insane to do so for the awful compensation suggested. If they do take any of that, maybe we should get Jamarr Chase for a 5th and Pat Mahomes for Cole Beasley and a bag of footballs, -
As long as we're going to play a rush 4 defensive scheme, the answer has to be DL.Outside of a few select top-tier CBs, most can't lock down top WRs forever, so you depend on consistent pass rush to get there in order to force quicker throws. Yes, we've invested a lot in DL, but we haven't found our TJ Watt yet, so we shouldn't stop trying until we get one. MLB is is also a huge need in my book and if we let Levi walk, CB is also a need. All that said though, one dominant Dlineman makes everyone else on the defense better, so that's my pick.

This says everything there is to know about you.

And also runs through them.

You've chosen such a terrible hill to die on. People dump a pile of rational arguments in your lap and you can't get past 40 times which don't have very much to do with YAC. Something else worth talking about is that we ranked second in Air Yards per completion. While the aforementioned teams all were in the top 10 in that category, we had 3 receivers (Sanders, Davis, Diggs) in the top 38, more than any other team. The Rams pumped up their numbers because they got more help at the bottom of their roster while we had a 50% dropoff after Diggs to Beasley.

Imagine being 44 years old and still getting to credibly claim you went out on top?

3/4 1&2 seeds lost at home. The bills were the only road team that lost.

Today I learned that 4.4 40s are "slow". Neat.

Good. If I never saw another taunting penalty it would be too soon. Sack up.
