Who are you benching? How will that improve your day?

That's fine. Our o-line has clearly been good enough to blow teams out of the water on a regular basis.

Coming soon: "Breaking: Buffalo Bills trade for Carolina RB!" Carolina RB:

Did Epenesa just earn himself the Jerry Hughes treatment?

Yup. he had an opportunity to fix his mistake and he escalated it. -
Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation
BullBuchanan replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same, I never understood the move. They're the #2 seed right now and SB is having a monster year. He's playing himself into a long-term extension. CMC on the other hand isn't blowing up the league like he's done in the past and Carolina is a dumpster fire. I wonder if injuries are finally taking their toll on him, or if Carolina is just too bad to be carried. It's much more reasonable they'd want to trade him, but I wouldn't see it happening until after the season along with a firing of coach and new QB. -
Keenum has been horrendous this year in his limited action, but, he's also been way worse than he's ever been. I'd like to think that at some point he'll return to the mean and be a dependable backup that can win some games if needed. Hopefully the only action we need any backup QB for is mop up duty like this. I wouldn't hate the idea of the Bills keeping a legitimate prospect on the practice squad next year instead of guys with no upside.

Saying that a team isn't well prepared or that coach(es) are not competent doesn't really convey any meaning of substance. I think it's a lot more nuanced than that. The coaches and front office that make up this organization aren't unilaterally the best of the best, but the situation they are in allows them to perform to a very high (maybe even the maximum) level. Many of them are not on their first kick at the can and a lot of these hires are based on who they know rather than independent searches. Frazier has been in the league 20 years and never had #1 defenses until last year. He's been fired plenty of times, but the situation he's in here in enabling him to excel. It doesn't mean he's the smartest, most qualified DC in the league. He has his flaws just like anyone. There are only a small handful of coaches that have been able to reproduce top-end success in multiple situations and sustain it, and they often do it with the help of elite players.

Don't you think that's how just about every team prepares though? they all study film, playbooks, do walkthroughs, strategize, plan situational decisions, etc. In the end, a lot of it comes down to talent combined with how well what you decided to prepare for matches up with what your opponent decided to do and how your players execute. Talented teams make coaches look brilliant.

That's a really stupid caveat

My advice to is not bet on anything you have an emotional investment in. If you want to ignore that, at least bet moneyline so you aren't upset that your team won but your bet didn't win. I lost ~$17k playing poker in the late aughts because I didn't understand how to manage my bankroll and when it was time to go home. The fact that the casino was two blocks away provided a great excuse to play every day, regardless if I was feeling up to it or if the conditions were right. I'd have a lot of winning sessions, but it doesn't take a lot of losers to put you in the red when your volume is high. $100 here or there adds up really quick over 300+ sessions a year. In the last 8 years or so, I play much less and for lower stakes, but I'm up ~$6k over that timeframe because now I play when I'm feeling right, and I don't play at stakes that jeopardizes my bankroll if I have a bad session or two, so I don't feel the need to chase to get even. That money stays separate from my employment earnings. If I want to buy a toy, it comes out of that pot. For sports bets, I usually keep it to $10-$20 a week and on average I lose ~$100 a year which is acceptable to me for the enjoyment it provides and the potential for a big swing the other way. I pretty much exclusively play full game and half game parlays with some DFS thrown in. Hopefully that's useful.

Who does Tre take over for when he returns?
BullBuchanan replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
rhodes isnt on the team. i expect the defensive backfield to see plenty of rotation even with white healthy -
i couldn't think of a better way to destroy a potential franchise qb than to do that

Because when you air it out and miss, you get pushed out of the league. If you protect the football, some coach will look at you and think you can be a backup or spot starter. See: Tyrod Taylor. He did the exact same thing when faced with the prospect of losing his job and he's turned it into a career that's much longer than it probably should be based on results.

Schopp and Bulldog work well together, but Bulldog on his own is so boring. He's better as a B guy. I've always liked Schopp, and I've always liked Jim Rome both of which are pretty unpopular around here. I don't really have the opportunity to listen to them much anymore, but I try to catch their post games

Sorry, but he's playing far from flawless. You're right, he is having his best year as a pro. I don't think anyone will debate you on that. However, he's still not performing as well as Milano is right next to him, so clearly there is room for him to play better. He still processes the game too slowly, he still can't shed blocks, and he still misses straightforward tackles or makes them downfield. The difference this year is that he's started to make impact plays and has had less critical errors, but all of the negative traits he's had since his rookie year are still present. I've got the guy on my fantasy team because he has been impactful, but it's hiding the fact that his traits that make him a liability have not gone away.

Did anyone else see Brady snap at Beasley and wave him off when he walked up to him while he was reviewing plays? 😂
-
Well at least the first part is obvious enough. The second, i disagree with, but it doesn't matter. I just hope Edmunds has a career year and gets top money from someone else the Bills can't match. My worst case scenario is that he falls off just enough to be here another 5 years.

Maybe when he retires your argument would make sense. Until then it doesn't. He's still one of the 10 best in the world competing against and besting players who are young enough to be his kids. -
What do you think?
-
I wouldn't expect it to be either. It should be pretty much the same. They basically play a Tampa 2 defense, so edmunds has one side and milano has the other

She already had her career - She was the top super model, then turned that into various massive business. whatever she does next is phase 3. I've never known hyper successful people to stop doing things because they have kids. It should be a lot easier when you're stupid wealthy.
