Is There So Little Love for Tremaine Edmunds?
BullBuchanan replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
You need to make up your mind because the case you're making for edmunds is that he helps against Kelce, but yet Kelce has absolutely destroyed the Bills since he's been here, so obviously he isn't helping that much. I never said it was. I'm simply countering the ridiculous argument that Edmunds who in his career has allowed a 93, 76, 114, 106 and 84.5 Passer Rating makes us sitgnificantly more prepared to stop Kelce, who averages almost 100 yards a game and over a TD a game when playing against Edmunds. When playing against other temas he averages 71.3 YPG and less than 0.5 TDs per game. Edmunds is below repalcement level against Kelce - that's just data in black and white. What part(s) do you need explained? You may disagree with it, but it's absolutely rational. -
Is There So Little Love for Tremaine Edmunds?

No it's not an accident that he is slow to read plays, has poor instincts, couldn't shed a block if there was a billion dollars behind the blocker, is a soft tackler, and despite the athleticism to keep up with WRs is terrible in pass coverage. Everything that makes Edmunds great are the tools he was born with. Everything that makes him terrible is what he has done with them. If you combine those two things together, you get a middle of the road talent whose raw athleticism bails him out enough to make up for below average ability in most other facets of his game. I'm pretty convinced that if he were 4-5" shorter, he would be a significantly more impactful player with otherwise no increase in skill simply because he has no idea how to use his body to gain leverage during contact. He's like the Tyler Myers of the NFL. -

Is it Kelce's 6 TDs and 475 yards across 5 games against us during Edmunds' time here or is it something else that leads you to this opinion? -
Great night game experience! However....

Why does a passed out person bother you to the point that you think you have a right to get involved? I bet a lot of folks around here run for low-ranking seats on their HOA. -

That's football my man. -
I'll go halvsies with ya.
-
And that's all that's in the top 30. I didn't skate your point. It's just wrong.
-
wow! you found one. Good job. In the top 15 backs there are only 3 drafted after the 2nd round and none after the 4th. Good players get drafted high for the most part. Tune in for more breaking news at 11.

He's not in any offense. He can be a big playmaker for us, but he'll always be a committee back unless something drastically changes with his physique in the offseason.
-
They owe him $0. This is a half season rental. Singletary was never going to be re-signed under any circumstance, and Hines won't be here under this contract either.
-
Nothing alike at all. Hines does actually play out of the slot, but unlike Beasley, he gets significant YAC and is extremely athletic and versatile. Beasley at his best was a catch and go down guy.
-
I don't think this is part of the plan. He isn't physically built to be a #1 back.
-
He's not going to be MVP if that's what you're arguing, but he gives us a legitimate backup to both of the roles that Singletary and Cook play, upgrades our special teams, and should help take away targets from guys like McKenzie. All of those things add up. The injury protection alone is massive. RBs get dinged up and having to spend any significant time with Moss int he backfield was going to severely limit us.
-
Why? all of the top 5 backs in the league were taken in the top 2 rounds.
-
so, ~2x the touches that Gabe Davis gets isn't a big deal to you? He has the potential to be a massive difference maker. At the barest of minimums, he's an upgrade over Moss for nothing.
-
I really like this snag at the price of free. If we could trade a 6th round pick for Nyheim Hines every year I'd absolutely do that. Singletary is 100% gone in 4 months.
-
Hines is a rental - there's a $0 out on his contract after this year. Look for us to sign a FA or draft a replacement for Singletary. I wouldn't be shocked if they pursued Jacobs in the offseason.

I saw him standing around other people making plays or getting dragged down the field. Classic Edmunds. -
Bengals coach Adam Zimmer passes away at 38. RIP

They do every single day. People get sick, have heart attacks, strokes, blood clots, etc. I've known more than a couple. -
The Pats gave us Bledsoe. It's really not that big of a deal. The Lions are going to need a QB, and they clearly need an entirely new defense. By the time they're ready to compete, Hockenenson will likely have more days behind him than ahead of him. If the Vikings gave the best offer, I understand.
-
He's in a contract year, and with the Raiders losing today they may start looking to next season. It's possible he becomes the highest paid RB in the league next year. With all of that in mind, the raiders may want to consider moving him, unless McDaniels is prepared to make a case that they can reload and compete for a Super Bowl after possibly finishing at the bottom of the league. They have an out with Carr after this year. They could choose to use that to bring in a guy like Jimmy G, Tom Brady, etc which would make keeping Jacobs more palatable, but if they go the rookie QB route, I'd expect not.

Glazer: Bills called about kamara, turned down

I literally picked the first search result that I knew had the quote form John Wawrow in it. Feel free to source any other site that makes you feel better of dozens that have the exact same information. Sorry to offend. -

They can be both right if the bills did indeed make an offer that was not considered to be "serious" or "hard" as @Nihilarian's article suggested. The problem here is people are filling in blanks that don't exist. Sources are always going to be unnamed in stories like this, because otherwise people are getting fired/blackballed.
