  1. I think the Ravens could as well, but that's it unless something crazy happens I understand the definition just fine. I don't consider a team to be a "legitimate" contender when I can't create a scenario for winning that doesn't involve a stacked combo of upsets or injuries. I have absolutely no reason to believe we get past KC in the playoffs. I don't see them getting past Baltimore either. I think we have less talent on both sides of the ball and are outcoached by both squads. The only way I can see us making the Super Bowl is if we don't have to play either team, or if when we do their QB is knocked out of the game. If I can't even get them to the Super Bowl without those considerations, how can I realistically consider them "legitimate" contenders? If we get there, I don't like how we match up against the Eagles, a potentially healthier Lions squad, and I wouldn't even be stoked about playing the Packers. I think our best matchup would be against a team like Minnesota, Washington or one of the current lesser teams in the conference. No one will be more excited to see me be completely wrong than me. I hope it happens.
  2. How could it change in December? We're still in the regular season (pre-season for good teams). No one critiques McDermott's ability to win regular season games. If he loses in the playoffs again, will the people who never criticize him continue to support him without critique because he won another division championship? McDermott built a great team, but I have always believed, and have no reason not to believe based on what I've seen in big games, that he just doesn't have what it takes to close. You can stick with that forever and say you got unlucky, blame the refs, whatever - but you have a choice not to.
  3. I blocked him long ago for his low quality, attack-laden posts. People have been using personal attacks against my posts, instead of just trying to discredit them on merit, for years. I'm used to it at this point. You can look back through my post history for the last 4 years or so and it should all be very consistent. There is little that has happened this year that is counter to my primary concerns about this team. I said I could see us winning 10-11 games due to the weakness of our schedule as perceived after the draft and into the summer. As it turns out, our schedule has been even weaker than what anyone could have guessed due to the jets and dolphins imploding, and KC and SF being far more vulnerable than they have in past seasons. The league in general is also having a really bad year with a ton of teams at the bottom and a ton of pretenders at the top. That said, the Bills are playing way better football than what I expected. Josh is also playing the best football of his career (which I've mentioned on the board no less than 5 times). Ironically, he's playing the kind of game management style it seemed Dorsey was trying to coax out of him last year. Cooper was a huge get. An add like that didn't seem to be part of the plan - everyone was shocked when it happened. As of now however, I still do not think the Bills are in a legitimate position to win a Super Bowl. People will point to our record and our regular season win over KC to shoot me down, but those accomplishment are nothing new for us. We've beaten KC in the regular season 4 years in a row with an 0-3 record against them in the playoffs over the last 4 years. We got some help with the Bengals implosion, but the Lions, Eagles and Vikings are all stacked with talent and have dominant run games, our biggest weakness, to pair with elite passing attacks and talented defenses. Our course the Chiefs are still the champs, and they have our number in the post-season until proven otherwise. Some people think being a top 4-6 team means you're in position to win it all. I don't. I don't think Minnesota, Green Bay or Pittsburgh are legitimate threats to win the SB this year, regardless of their record. Maybe that's the difference that makes people think I'm just a "hater", despite watching/listening all but one game over the last 35 years. I sure waste a lot of my own time to just to post on a message board a couple times a week. I'm loving the season, and I'm as high on expectations as I can possibly be, but I'm a long way from feeling like I'm dead wrong about the composition of our team, and the capability of our coaches until proven otherwise. The only bar this team has is winning a Super Bowl, so it's a bit early to start putting the crow in the oven.
  4. Cleveland doing everything they can to ruin this.
  5. If you really need all that stuff, then that's your business. If you just want to go to the tailgate/the game there are far more efficient ways then paying someone $60 to park on their lawn.
  6. I didn't say they were equal, I said they were in the same boat. I didn't need you to look up stats showing Allen has been more profilic, it's well established to anyone who follows the sport. Allen meets none of the career records needed. He's well outside the top 50 in yards & TDs and has 0 personal accolades to speak of. When considering Hall of Fame talents, that's what matters - not stringing together a handful of seasons of being a top 2-3 guy at your position. If Allen goes the rest of his career with 0 MVPs, 0 First team all-pros and 0 SB appearances, he'll have to finish in the top 10 yardage and TDs all-time to be considered. His turnovers will also weight heavily against him in absence of hardware or prolific stats. Back to the topic at hand, Not trading Allen for Mahomes straight up is madness. I added the 1st round pick to silence the silly homers, and apparently that wasn't enough. Let's say Mahomes and 3 first round picks. A Ricky Williams trade.
  7. That's definitely not true. He doesn't have the stats to back it up. If he retired today, he'd be in the same boat as Andrew Luck.
  8. It's pretty simple. You have the best two football coaches of all time with the best two quarterbacks of all-time. That will create dynasties. People slept on Andy Reid not being an all-time elite coach despite 4 straight conference championship appearances and a SB appearance just because he didn't win the big one, and he did it all with Donovan McNabb who drew serious questions about how good he actually was, by being straight awful as soon as he left Philly.
  9. You'd be trading for a known quantity that has 3 super bowl rings, 3 SB MVPs, 6 straight AFC championship appearances, 6 pro bowl nods, 2 all pros, 2 MVPs and an offensive player of the year in exchange for a guy that has 1 AFC championship game appearance and 2 pro bowls. Seriously that is the extent of Josh's accomplishments. Look, Allen is an elite QB, but Patrick Mahomes is already AT WORST, the 2nd best QB to ever play the game and a lock for the HOF. Bills fans are incredibly silly.
  10. $60 for parking in an off-premises lot? How much is legitimate stadium parking? I'd just park on a residential street 10 minutes away and grab an Uber
  11. Everything is for sale at the right price, including Josh Allen. If KC wanted to trade Mahomes and a 1st for him, you absolutely take that deal. Realistically, will anybody give you the right price? No, but that's a different matter. There isn't another true super star on the entire roster that I wouldn't trade for a much more realistic return. I'd think you could have your pick of 52 other players for a decent 1st round pick.
  12. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. If he never played again, that would be just fine.
  13. Who cares how many games he plays? The only reason he's here is to help win a Super Bowl. Padding regular season wins isn't going to do that. Rest him until the playoffs.
  14. It's a perfect "get right" game for KC that sends them off on a run from here to the end of the season. This kind of thing is our specialty. I won't be shocked if we beat KC. After all, we play them decently in the regular season. However, much like KC, we've been cruisin' for a bruisin' the way we've been playing football games this year. We have yet to play well against a good team, and we've looked heavily flawed against some pretty bad teams. I could absolutely see a scenario where KC lights us up on the ground, where we've been especially vulnerable, and Travis Kelce just walks into open spaces in the field all day, and Mahomes hits a couple of big deep plays. You combine that with some Buffalo turnovers, and it could easily get away from us. I hope we drop 40 on 'em instead, but not optimistic about that without Cooper, kincaid, and Coleman unless some players who have been invisible for much of the season finally show up in a big way.
  15. Bills 17 KC 35 Ravens game part 2
  16. If McCaffery didn't get a single vote last year, Henry has absolutely no shot. MVP = QB on the Team with one of the top 2 records in the league from here on out.
  17. Why do you th Why do you think it's not a rebuilding year?
  18. Hamlin certainly has room to improve, but why use that play, when he's on the far side of the field, to make your point? It would have been a highlight reel play had he gotten involved in that play. He's been slow most of his career. He played like an old man when he was 29. Dude's beyond washed.
  19. Best case? Win the Division, beat C tier playoff teams like The Broncos/Colts/Chargers/Steelers and get handled by Baltimore or KC in the AFCCG.
  20. He's been washed for a long time. I'm not sure he's an upgrade over what we have now.
  21. Can we go back in time and get him in 2017?
  22. Nabers is already a stud, Tracy has been a major hit, and Slayton and Singletary are no scrubs. Hell, I even see Jones throw really nice looking balls from time to time. There are definitely worse offensive talent pools in the league.
  23. If Daboll was such a hot commodity, why did he take the worst HC opening in the league?
