  1. It's easy. You replace Edmunds with a rookie instead of Gabe. They should cost around the same.
  2. You do that with someone down the depth chart. You still need someone for the next year or two while that player gets up to speed. Hopkins on a 2-3 year deal would make total sense. However, his current cap hit is untenable. They're looking to trade him, because what they're really planning on doing is releasing him for the cap money.
  3. Kuechly was also a generational football mind at LB.
  4. Is Edmunds attending Roquan's youth LB camp?
  5. I am. Miami has played us tough twice and beaten us once this year. They've also played us tough several times over the last few years despite not having the talent to win at the time. They have the playbook on defending Allen, and Allen hasn't been playing his best ball for the last 3/4 of this year. The only thing working in our favor is their injuries and their downward slide as a team over the 2nd half of the season. Still, I'm not taking it for granted and wouldn't be shocked to see it be a nail biter if Tua plays. I think they are one of the top 4 matchups against the Bills because the talent they have on offense can exploit our defense and they are effective at putting pressure on the QB. Maybe we blow them out of the building, but I'm not counting on it.
  6. So if he doesn't get to pick his coach, he'll just start stacking up sexual assault claims like MUT cards?
  7. This was the toughest possible week 1 matchup for us. We designed our team to play against KC and Miami designed their team to play against us. I hope we have a drastically different gameplan than what we've been using against them the last couple of years, and hopefully Josh/Dorsey take a deep look at how they disguise defenses to exploit his tendencies and uses that against them.
  8. 3 years 1.2M AAV - seems fair for a #4.
  9. This is all completely incorrect and shows a complete ignorance to the intricacies of the game of football. You could do better than this take with 5 minutes of poking around the internet.
  10. Can we start a gofundme to get this dude a full shirt?
  11. That's wildly, wildly inaccurate, but ok. Clowney is an elite run defender. Watkins has never been considered elite at any aspect of WR at the NFL level.
  12. I think the fairest and most reasonable thing to do for all parties would have been to have the Bills forfeit. Anything less than that is a gift. no. KC loses, Bills win and Bills are #1
  13. I'm aware that Clowney is a superior player but he fills the same role of a run stopping specialist with rotational pass rush ability. Clowney is better than lawson at both of those things, but it's a role we already have filled. I wouldn't mind having him around but he doesn't add a unique element like say Miller that screams GO GET HIM.
  14. now you got it.
  15. more or less. He's an upgrade but the same kind of guy. He's not a Miller replacement.
  16. and less talent.
  17. If he was released and signed after sunday he wouldn't make anything from the Bills. Contracts are only paid during the Regular season. The NFL pays players in the playoffs and it's like 60k a game. Not sure if they could do a signing bonus.
  18. You can do that, but it's silly from an objective perspective. He's undeniably a better player and would be useful. I think he provides more consistency than Epenesa.
  19. He's basically Shaq Lawson.
  20. I loved watching Hillis play. he was one of the last breed of violent runners that was always my favorite style. Hope he gets well soon.
  21. That would be crazy. i sure hope it's true though because I think he has the makings of a great coach.
  22. He's a young player that they know. Unlikely to do any better at this point in the year unless they want to call Eric Weddle.
  23. The tragedy of this can't be oversold, though I don't think it does any good to drag it out to impact another week. Having it happen on live TV and to a teammate certainly made it an ultra-dramatic and devastating moment. It does seem a bit of an odd standard as time goes by though. Had Susan from will-call, Billy the ball boy, or Larry the groundskeeper had a cardiac incident, would continued delay of games impacting teams league wide even be a discussion? I understand the impact to the Bills players as this is a personal relationship, so it's really up to them how they want to handle it. I don't think it's appropriate for the league to move any more things around though. It was nice to watch the Sabres game yesterday and see them put up a big W so they could dedicate a win. I usually think that sort of thing is a bit of a hollow gesture, but it also brings some folks comfort. If the Bills could do the same, it would probably be even more impactful, but if they aren't up to it, I get it. As a fan, I think it would be a great game to go to with a highly emotional atmosphere, and that's when sports are at their best.
