  1. We already covered rushing TDs. I personally don't think they mean very much for a QB, because it's just siphoning TDs that in most offenses would go to a RB. What else you got? Tua will probably drop another 3-4TDs this week and leave Allen even further in the dust in every other category. Besides Tua, He'd also definitely be behind Dak, Jackson, Purdy, Stroud, and likely Mahomes. Hurts, Goff, Herbert and Allen are all playing pretty equally this year with the primary difference being two of them are leading their teams to piles of wins, Allen is .500 and Herbert is in the basement. After the Bills bye, it's not unrealistic for them all to have pretty identical stat lines.
  2. Nope, I'm just not one of those morons who thinks he's the bets player in the NFL.
  3. What? Tua has a higher YPG and his TD per game is equal. He has a 0.45 INT ratio compared to Allens 54% Int ratio. He also has a higher completion percentage, and blows him out of the water on Passer Rating. Most importantly, he's winning.
  4. Allen isn't even the best QB in his own division this year and we're still talking MVP? Only in Billsland.I don't have him in the top 5 QBs this year, and if we're talking MVP he's no higher than 10th. You have some non-QBs like Hill, McCaffery, who should be legitimate candidates, with Lamb being a possibility and if the Chargers weren't trash, Kennan Allen would definitely be int he conversation. If MVP voting were fair, DaRon Bland should definitely be in consideration as he's having one of the best seasons for a CB ever. If he goes undefeated and posts 400 yards and 4 TDs a game against 0.25 INTs, no fumbles and a bunch of blowouts maybe we can have this discussion. I don't see any evidence of that being at all likely this year. More realistically we finish 8-10 or 9-8, Allen adds 13 more combined TDs and 8 more turnovers and we talk some more about how good the NFL is and how hard it is to win out there, mental exhaustion, and "accountability".
  5. Breaking news from Braylon Edwards? Ok. Not buying any of it. Harbaugh will be there until he doesn't want to be.
  6. The Indy playoff game was a near collapse. I think that was one of his worst games despite the outcome.
  7. Lose to Miami backups with the 7th seed on the line would be a wonderful throwback to the Willie Parker party. I think the 4D chess Billsy move is to win that one in overtime, and then fall apart int he wild card, just to secure another year of McDermott and another wasted season.
  8. As you should be when your QB is Jared Goff. Goff is playing the best of his career in that scheme.
  9. turnovers are a byproduct of his poor decision making. For every turnover, he has 3-5 more throw into multiple coverages, a missed progression, a bad call of when to stay or bail in the pocket, and when to fight for an extra half yard vs taking a massive hit. He may do just fine on an SAT, but on a football field he's got terrible judgement. To be his best, he needs an offense that makes the decisions for him, because he's not going to outsmart any defenses and he'll rarely even see the holes.
  10. Did Josh see the zero blitz presnap and call it out? I'd think that would be his responsibility, not Gabe's. You seem to think an explanation means blaming. He's telling you why he thinks they failed, which is answering the question being asked. Again, no one cares about accountability. They only care about results.
  11. No, it isn't. He's said it dozens of times. Two weeks ago: https://www.niagara-gazette.com/sports/sabato-sean-mcdermott-isnt-on-the-hot-seat-but-winning-is-the-only-way-to/article_efae1be0-8595-11ee-90ed-7fad971750e6.html 13 Seconds: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/sean-mcdermott-on-bills-not-squib-kicking-with-13-seconds-left-against-chiefs-that-starts-with-me/ Culture Change: https://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/01/13/bills-hc-sean-mcdermott-sets-tone-for-culture-change-that-starts-with-me/ 2017: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2733856-sean-mcdermott-tyrod-taylor-to-remain-bills-starting-quarterback-vs-broncos Have you never heard a head coach before? It's HIS team. He doesn't blame anyone, and uses the royal "we" instead, putting himself front and center for the blame. How else should he answer a question that points to a strategy he's is responsible for? "Disgraceful"?! Dude, I hated McDermott as a hire and it's on record here, but you're so so completely off base on everything about the guy and a coach's responsibilities in general, that I gotta stand up for the guy because you're slandering him for completely ridiculous things. The dude sucks, but not for any of the reasons you've laid out.
  12. See the note about the Jets not having a top QB. Their putrid offense put their team in a hole all day.
  13. After every loss. Have you seriously never heard the quote I referenced? I didn't even listen to the postgame or any of his pressers and SURPISE! He said it again. "“Each and every one of us has to look at ourselves,” McDermott said. “Like I told you, that starts with me."" https://www.niagara-gazette.com/sports/sabato-sean-mcdermotts-bills-defense-came-up-small-in-another-big-moment/article_dd5beda6-8cd8-11ee-a2b9-d312178243d7.html "Accountability" is a dumb word people use when what they really want is results. No one at any job has anyone ever said "well, I was really mad we ***** up until the guy told us he ***** up" No one cares.
  14. We aren't? "That starts with me." is practically tattooed on McDermott's forehead.
  15. 100%, but that's a different point.
  16. I sure did. I watched him continue to make the same mistakes he's been making his entire career. I'm assuming other coaches saw it too. If the Jets had a top QB, we lose that game too.
  17. He also took his team to a Super Bowl.
  18. Favre peaked at 27 and Allen is 27, so let's hope not. I also don't see any comparison to Favre as a complement.
  19. We won't be able to afford AJE. I figure he'll get $12-14M for 4/5 years. Floyd likely doesn't have many more great years in him at 31 either. Maybe he can have one more year like this, but I'll be shocked if he has two. I'd try to rent him one more time with a 2 year deal.
  20. I'd be shocked to see us go WR higher than the 3rd (requiring a trade up). They'll likely consider themselves in a decent spot with Diggs and Kincaid. They have bigger holes to fill on Defense. I could see them going S-S or S/CB and then get to WR in the 4th round. They'll also need a DT and of course no Bills draft would be complete without another RB. Might be a good time to take a project QB too.
  21. Going to the playoffs when they let 7 teams in on a 17 game schedule doesn't mean very much. It's the modern equivalent of a 1000 yard receiver or rusher. I don't deny that we could get in as a 7th seed, bu there's a zero percent chance this team runs the table. They don't have the mental fortitude, discipline or coaching for it. We lose 2/5 and possibly 3/5. Maybe 9-8 still gets you in at #7. That's my best case scenario.
  22. You should have paid more attention. You don't remember Gabe Davis running wide open to the endzone in the 3rd? You don't remember the 3 yard out to Kincaid on 3rd and 10? He often fails to see the open player and when he does, he too frequently throws an inaccurate pass
  23. Agreed on all but the "Offense played at an elite level" part. We had three drives deep in Philly territory that resulted in a total of 3 points. It sure didn't seem elite to me when Allen threw a 2 yard out to a well covered Kincaid on 3rd and 10 at the Philly 30 when Shakiir was breaking wide open. It didn't seem elite to me either when he threw a ground ball to a blanketed Sherfield in the endzone. It especially didn't seem elite to me when he missed a wide open Gabe Davis for a should have been easy TD instead hitting the DB in the back. It also didn't seem elite to me when he threw a should have been pick early in the game into a blanketed Gabe Davis with open receivers breaking across the middle. We should have laid another 10-14 on Philly at minimum and we didn't. They started the game off horribly through the 3rd quarter on defense and we didn't deliver. I'll keep saying it. Josh makes all the miracle plays, but it's his inability to make the plays you expect your practice squad QB to nail that is starting to cement his legacy as a loser. Should we ask him to be perfect every week? Of course not, but as long as McD is here, that'll be the game script.
