Sully is a **** writer. The fact that he's a non stop pessimist didn't help his cause, but he reads like a small town columnist, and Buffalo deserves better. I don't think he even deserves to be called a journalist, because all he ever did was ask inflammatory pointed questions that served to try to get sound bytes. He's a hack. I hear Infowars is hiring.

Going to the mattresses: Josh Allen edition

8-5 for a conference that would be worse than the MAC if it didn't have Boise. Super impressed. -
Going to the mattresses: Josh Allen edition

He was my second choice behind Mayfield. I liked everything about him. Good arm, accurate, comeback wins, smart. I thought he was too reckless at times, but he had the ability to throw the team on his back for the win, which some of the others didn't. -

I hated the pick because I thought he was a 3rd round talent that was getting pushed to the top of the first based solely on arm strength. Far more complete college QBs like Carr, Wilson, Kaepernick, Cousins all were had in rounds 2-4, and they played far better in college. Allen always seemed like an Al Davis pick to me, and he still does. In my eyes he's still the exact same kid he was then. I don't expect it to change, because there's little evidence that it can. Sure, he could surprise us, but I'm not counting on it. Guys like Logan Thomas could throw almost as hard, yet he's had to change positions just to eek out a few more years of minimum salary. -
Believe it or not, that honor belongs to Tyrod Taylor. Of course he only has like 1300 attempts.

On the Bills' first offensive snap Sunday...

first play: Play action touchdown bomb to Zay Jones. -
"Revolutions on the ball" could not have any less to do with throwing velocity. You can fire a football out of a literal cannon at 200 mph with zero revolutions. "flashes" zip, and "enough arm" are the supporting evidence I was sharing that you either completely missed or deliberately ignored. No one's saying he isn't a strong amazing athlete. Again, zero to do with throw power. You really can't question my interpretation skills when basic reading comprehension isn't on display here. Here's the beauty of it all, you'll get to watch this season as you get to see whether or not you were right or wrong.

Didn't delete any posts except for one where I provided even more evidence you have no idea what you're talking about, but I didn't want to get into it with you. I just wanted you to think that you're right, because it saves me aggravation. The link I posted to his scouting report said he had "enough arm" not a rocket launcher, as you claimed. Secondhand hearsay is not evidence. Jesus, this is exhausting.

The article is not debunked at all. You can use any other number of excuses like, maybe someone had a bad day, or maybe it's not reflective of in game performance because the mechanics they're using are totally different. It's even possible that some get stronger in the pros and others don't. To say measurements at the combine are bunk data, completely destroys any credibility you might have. They've been doing these measurements for 8 years and they have a seemingly significant impact on draft status.

Give it a rest. Right now he has one of 32 jobs on the planet doing what he does, and he beat out a kid far more lauded, with far more investment and prestige, who looked much more the part than he did. Yet, he took it down. Somewhere out there in this big wide world, someone just may know something you don't.

Yea, after 3 years of being benched he figured it out. I'm sure Peterman will too. Brees play the first couple years is the reason the chargers drafted Eli Manning first overall. Sometimes it takes more than 2 halves of football to determine whether a player sucks or or becomes a first ballot hall of famer.

I have an issue with this take. Peterman made a very poor decision here and Thomas ran a god awful route. I had enough time to make a sandwich and a pot of coffee by the time he broke his route. If Brett favre throws that pass it gets broken up, best case scenario. Thomas never got the receiver to flip his hips, so he was able to break on the route full steam ahead. That is NEVER what you want, and unless you have enough buffer the pass should not be attempted. Thomas is not anywhere near athletic enough for that route/ doesn't have the route running , and he doesn't even square his shoulders to defend against the DB. He just leaves it wide open. WR coaches will tell you that alot of the time picks on comebacks and outs are the fault of WR not doing their job correctly. That's true here, but Peterman also has to realize that throw isn't there.

Because I'm hoping we keep Brees and trade Rivers.

I know how to judge it, with a scientifically precise tool. You keep using your eyes, and I'll stick to empirical evidence. Also, these are combine numbers, they can and do go up. Brees was clocked in 2010, in the height of his prime.

Brees has a weaker arm than Peterman...http://www.pass2win.com/ball-velocity-exposing-the-power-qb.html Drew Brees has never been known for having a cannon, but he makes up for that with timing, deadly accuracy, and technique. I've been making comparisons to Brees and Peterman for a while based mostly on the way they play and the situation they found themselves in on their rosters. Time will tell if he's able to put it together, but he's a smart kid who doesn't get rattled, and his skill set is shared by many really good QBs. He's got a hell of a mountain to climb, and I'm just hoping he gets that chance.

Will the Bills grab a PS Quarterback?
BullBuchanan replied to Punt75's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, thanks. I didn't know that. It's crazy they were both with the Saints. It's wild to think that although they missed guys right under their noses who would become very good NFL QBs, they never would have gotten Brees or won a Super Bowl if they had stuck with them. -

What's the point of having one of the PS? They almost never make NFL rosters. The only time it makes sense is when you have an entrenched starter and backup, so the kid can run the scout team without worry of being hurt. I can't recall a single QB in my life that was developed on a practice squad. Can anyone? -
Nothing they said is outlandish.

What would we do with our first round picks from the bears? Lb and WR?
