  1. You guys know you can do both right? The bills are loaded with ammo. When push comes to shove a 2nd will get it done for Foles. The eagles have nothing invested, can't use him, and his value will be 0 once the draft starts.
  2. You think EJ is one of the worst QBs you've ever seen? Is he the only QB you've ever seen? He's undeniably the best QB of his class, so what does that make the other guys? He's still in the league after 5 years, so what does that make the hundreds of NFL QBs that didn't make it that far? He wasn't good, but he wasn't awful, and I don't think he's started his last game, either.
  3. Well, they did fire the OC and are rumoured to want to get into the top 5 of the draft to get a QB. That should answer your questions.
  4. If I'm Spielman, I dont keep any of them. That team is built for a Super Bowl, albeit with an aging defense. I do everything I need to in order to get Cousins, then I draft all defense this year.
  5. And now he hasnt been healthy in 2 years with injuries to his throwing shoulder. There was a report a couple months ago that the injury was so bad some people were thinking he was done forever. If you could draft a kid in the top 5 (plus trade compensation) or roll the dice that he'll be fine as a new coach/GM what would you do?
  6. Because frankly at this point he's closer to Jay Cutler than Aaron Rodgers. I loved Andrew Luck when he came into the league, but he's really done nothing worth mentioning besides beat up on the worst division in football and get schooled in the playoffs.
  7. Maybe you should re-read it. The stat is at the time of QB release. Taylor has the longest time to throw in the league this year and at least 2015, not sure about '16. During that time, we've also ranked dead last in YAC. I put the blame on Taylor, because he doesn't release the ball at the top of routes, so WRS don't stay open. I just won't listen to the fact the Benjamin, Clay, Watkins, Woods gave him no weapons over the last two years. The guy is a total bum as a passer. Fix that and then we can worry about WRs.
  8. Nonsense. I watched them run free constantly. The big difference is that to Taylor a step or, god forbid, a CB on the wrong hip is still covered. We saw when Peterman came in that plays were there to be made. He missed a lot more than he hit, but that's a limitation on his own development, not on the WRs. If Taylor QB'd the vikings, he checks that 4th down throw to Mike Tolbert who stole McKinnon's jersey before the last drive.
  9. Why not? Tyrod made Kelvin Benjamin and Jordan Matthews look like bums this year, and Watkins & Woods before that. It wouldn't have mattered if he had Jerry Rice and Randy Moss out there, we'd still be dead last in YAC.
  10. This is basically what defensive holding/ PI is already.
  11. Yup. Belichick would do it every game. Does anyone remember when he had his players tackle our receivers a couple years back because Taylor was out of the pocket and apparently that's legal? I haven't really seen it since, but as far as I can remember that's still the rule, along with no roughing the QB outside of the pocket.
  12. That's not the way that works - at all. Not even a little bit. Coaches only get credit for guys they brought into the league or gave a first real chance to that stuck around for multiple years and learned their system.
  13. Dalton's link has been down the last two days.
  14. Why do so many NFL QBs seem to have kids with significant health problems? Has anyone done a study on this?
  15. Humber is the worst LB on the team by a mile. He doesn't know how to tackle. I can't count the amount of times he was juked or just flat up couldn't bring his guy down.
  16. The shining beacon of wholesomeness was Bill Cosby.
  17. Kyle Dalton - but you have to call him meatball
  18. Mayfield is easily the best QB in the draft. I'll let the Browns do the Browns thing and draft Darnold. I could see Baker falling due to size. Hopefully the Bills snatch him up if they get the chance and we get our own "too small" version of Drew Brees/Russel Wilson
  19. Well, I watched the games, so...
  20. You also have to take into consideration Washington's offensive regression, I think. The chargers comparison is incredibly unfair the lost 3/4 of those games by field goals ont he last play of the game with scrubby kickers.
  21. McCoy, Hyde, Poyer, Taylor (good or bad) I'll flip a coin on this draft since it's likely McDermott had a ton of say, but also unlikely he had time to scout anyone.
  22. Andy Dalton definitely gets the credit for a 9-7 team making the playoffs. That's not trashing the Bills it's just reality. We didn't control our own destiny. Dalton gave that to us. He's a bigger Buffalo hero than Taylor.
  23. Not to belabor the point, but you could have said the same of the Bills before they shipped off Watkins, Darby, and Dareus. This staff created the holes they had to fill, helped out by the previous staff's handling of Woods & Gillislee. Goff looked like an early bust candidate before the season, and I think many would have taken Taylor over him. Looking back, not so much. Reconsidering, I can't believe I left out Pederson. talent or not, it would be hard for him, or Belichick to not to walk away with the hardware. The last team to finish 9-7 or worse was Jimmy Johnson in 1990. Given that Belichick has won it 3 times in the Brady era, I don't think talent plays that much of a role. I Give McD no better odds than 5th. (Pederson, Belichick, McVay, Marrone, Zimmer/McDermott)
