CB Pacman Jones/ Brandon browner/ Antonio Cromartie S: Darren Sharper / Ko "I'm worth Millions" Simpson -
Super intriguing, but I think he'd be a bad fit for us. I think he needs the luxury of learning behind great linebackers and with great coaches as a situational player for a couple years. We already drafted a raw LB prospect last year, and he isn't exactly knocking it out of the park yet. I think it would be critical to know what his character and film room habits are like in addition to overall intelligence. It seems he's got a long way to go.

I can't even tell you who our backup LBs were by the end of the year. Depth in our front 7 has been a problem for quite a while. Hopefully, they'll be in a little better position if we lose one or two guys up there this season. -

It's almost like they didn't realize the kid couldn't throw an out and had him throw a ton of them. Maybe you should watch this breakdown all the way through. -

I haven't seen a Bills coaching staff use players to the best of their abilities in 25 years, so I'm not exactly giving them the benefit of the doubt. -

Hockenson at #9 Change My Mind

I'm not at all saying we're one guy away. I'm saying that if we want to have a prayer of being what the Bills brass suggest they want to be, they need a top of the league WR talent. -

Yea, I mean look at how many Bruce Smith, Kevin Greene, Julius Peppers, Chris Doleman, Jason taylor and John Randle had. You sure showed me. -
His career high is 7, and he's 29 years old. Foster's career high is 3. I'm projecting them to be as good as they've ever been. How are you getting higher projections. Go ahead and triple my projections for them and give them once in a lifetime All-Pro seasons - it's still not enough

That's cute. It's a shame we don't have career trajectories or anything. Spoiler: if every one of our players including our combined 66 year old RBs have the best season of their careers, we're still short. But carry on.

They get the benefit of the doubt until they stop going to Playoffs and winning championships. We don't. -
Just tell me how we get to 50 touchdowns this year, and I won't be salty.

No plastic paddy here.

Yea, and they did, and we didn't.

This league has become extremely offense oriented. Last year, of the nine top touchdown leaders in the league onely one (Pittsburgh) did not make the playoffs. Everyone that appeared in the conference championship was in the top 7, and everyone besides New England was in the top 3. That should tell us all something. The minimum bar to get Top 9 is 50 Touchdowns. The Bills were tied for 3rd worst in the league with 29. That means they have to make up an extra 21 Touchdowns to be in the ballpark of wanting to seriously compete. If you say Brown gets 6, Beasley gets 5, McCoy gets 5, Gore gets 3, Foster gets 3, Kroft gets 3 - which are all completely in line with recent production - where are you picking up another 25 TDS? http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&conference=null&role=TM&offensiveStatisticCategory=TOUCHDOWNS&defensiveStatisticCategory=null&season=2018&seasonType=REG&tabSeq=2&qualified=false&Submit=Go

In the Scenario I outlined we would have had 95 million to spend, so ok - I'm fine with that. You still have $40 million to put you right in line with teams that actually have star players. Go get whoever else you need with the $25 million and save $15 for draft picks. As for the draft, it would have cost us a first round pick for OBJ. Are you expecting to get a better player than OBJ at #9? If you are, I'd llike to know why he's not going #1. AB was traded for a 3rd and a 5th. You wouldn't trade a Backup DT (Phillips) and a backup safety (Neal) for one of the two best WR's in football? Who are you re-signing in 2-3 years? White? Who else? Poyer and Hyde should be gone, Hughes will be gone, McCoy will be gone. What Kind of deal has Dawkins earned? Milano? The contracts for the players mentioned would be up at the same time Allen needs a new deal and hopefully by then you have a strong pipeline of young talent ready to take their place.

Well those two would have been high on my list. The WR FA market was extremely weak and I knew that months ago, but once the top 2 receivers were available on the market for pennies on the dollar, I expected our GM to make a more concerted push for one of them. Instead they both play for rivals. I also expected an upgrade at RB. I wanted them to cut McCoy and go after some combination of Coleman, Ingram, Hyde, or even Ajayi. Bringing in a player like Gore is the exact opposite of what I thought they should do, but is also something so Billsy it had to be expected. As for TE, we got the worse Tyler, and paid him like he was the right one. I don't hate the signing in general but the money they paid to get him is borderline ridiculous. In general, I don't hate any one of the players the brought in as much as I hate the story they're telling with the culmination of them and the money the spent to get these guys. Every one of them is a filler niche player. We lost guys like Watkins, Woods, Darby, Dareus, Gilmore, etc. so that we could have $80 million dollars in the bank and build a brand new team. We had the kind of money to go full madden mode if we wanted to. We literally could have got Beckham, Brown, Bell, Morse, and still had roughly the same amount of money left over to go sign depth players. Cutting dead weight like McCoy and Murphy would have paid for Bell, John Brown + Cole Beasley nets you AB's contract. You could have used the draft to fill out line depth, get more LBs and TE's. Did they spend it in a way that makes you think they'll be beating teams like New England, Kansas City, Philly, LA, LA, New Orleans, Indy? No, they spent it on small, old players with injury histories.

Bare minimum attention was paid to offense. We got vet journeymen, no players with untapped potential or the ability to carry the team on their back. If you want to win you need those players and we have 0 of them. Who did we pick up in FA that you think is going to help us score?
