  1. If Tim Murray didn't get unlucky and lose out on McDavid, he and Bielsma would still be here. The problem with the rebuild isn't the 2 GMs or 3 coaches we've had in the last couple of years. It's Jack Eichel.
  2. Man, do you think they would have taken Dawkins and Beasley for that haul?
  3. Tre White is as close as you get, though Nationally they don't consider him a Tier 1A corner yet.
  4. True, but it's interesting he wasn't an early cut based on his nearly zero results in pre-season/camp. I wanted to draft him with a day 2 pick. Imagine my surprise when he went undrafted. If he makes the team there has to be something else at play. Perhaps he absolutely blew them away in the classroom and they've intentionally had him focus on his weaknesses during camp and pre-season or something. It's really weird though.
  5. A lot of folks wanted him as a UDFA. I could be wrong, but I believe we made him the highest paid UDFA.
  6. I like Singletary a lot, he has a cool style. I'm not sure I see that translating into high end RB1 numbers though. He's just too slow.
  7. I just don't see how this makes us a better football team this year. We're a billion dollars under the cap, and even if they want to give others players more run, he's a useful piece to have. Reminds me of the Watkins/Darby trades where they just wanted them gone.
  8. One of them played in the AFC Championship and the other is the #1 WR on a rising team looking to run deep. I bet they don't miss Buffalo
  9. Great trade. Getting a 5&6 this year for a guy getting cut is a nice situation for us. Bates is a way better player. Hopefully it works out for them.
  10. The Colts had 4 good QBs a week ago, and one of them was getting cut. Now they keep all 3. The only QB they would want right now would be a guy like Eli.
  11. the talent is undeniable. It's the 2nd, 3rd. 4th chances that come with the name.
  12. Brown is our #1, but he isn't really what you want in a #1 receiver. On a good team, you'd like him to be your 3rd option, with a legitimate #1 do it all superstar, and number 2 possession receiver who can block and brown as your #3 burner type. If you have a great pass catching TE, he can be your #2.
  13. The game's been dying for 20 years.
  14. I think Bates is your backup C right now.
  15. Lee Smith is the best active TE on the roster right now, as sad as that is.
  16. How could anyone disagree with any of that?
  17. - Doug Whaley is unjustly crucified for putting together a solid roster in a short period of time with zero help from his predecessors or any of the coaches he was forced to live with. Never got to pick his QB or his coach but still had a playoff caliber team that those guys squandered. - Jim Kelly is a little overrated as a QB by Buffalonians. Great Hall of Fame player, fantastic story and a wonderful ambassador for the region. Just not quite the player some people put him at. - Bill Polian is grossly overrated as a GM - If NFL players can't handle the risk of concussions or other serious injury, they should have stuck to baseball. - The Pegulas saved Buffalo sports with their money, but have ruined them with their management.
  18. I can make the claim because Gretzky is indisputably the greatest hockey player to ever play the game, who demolished the league so badly that his records will never be broken. Jordan has a lot more close contenders like Bill Russel, WIlt Chamberlain, etc. Gretzky also holds the same scoring records for the playoffs that would take a patriots-esque dynasty to ever think about being challenged. His career was pure insanity.
  19. Gretzky has more career assist than any other NHL player has points, and he's also the all-time goals leader and the single season goals leader. Unless the NHL goes full MLB Home Run ball, those records are absolutely insane and will never be broken. Championships aren't the sole measure of greatness, but he still has 4 of them.
  20. Gretzky was way better than Jordan and he was traded.
  21. I really do hate the privacy invasion, but on the other hand they feed me what I want a lot of the time, so I guess It's an even trade
  22. After some spirited debate with some of the posters here about the Bills vs Jets in 2019 and beyond, youtube recommended a pretty neat video on the state of the AFC East and what each of the respective franchises have at their disposal and how they can use it to overcome their challenges. Not a lot of ground breaking info here, but a sound analysis and good production quality.
  23. I'm worried mostly about Bell and Darnold. Bell has had our number so far, and I really hope our Run D is at the point where they can contain him. I know everyone is down on him because of the one-year layoff, but he's healthy and should be fresh.
