  1. I'll be positively floored if he breaks 750 yards and 6 TDs
  2. You're gambling your pick when you do that. True, it's a lot cheaper, but you aren't getting a guy without flaws in the second round, and he might not even be starter material. When you trade a pick for vet, you know exactly what you're getting, for better or worse.
  3. It seems like a lot of money for a guy that hasn't done much yet, but Taylor got a similar deal. If you're going to be the starter it's hard to accept less.
  4. I think Gruden knows what he needs to work on, so he's been stashed on IR while they mess around with Kizer and Glennon to see who he wants to gamble on when Carr inevitably gets hurt/is benched.
  5. I've got $1000 that says I know where you get your news.
  6. I believe that's why there were reports a couple of years ago suggesting he wanted to trade Brady and Keep Garoppolo. H e wanted to do the Bledsoe -> Brady move again, and Kraft wouldn't let him. I really think it's going to bite them in the ass, because Belichick knows how hard it is to find a SB-calibre QB in this league.
  7. It's certainly possible he makes some big plays for us. I guess I'm just of the philosophy that you use those roster spots with guys you think have the potential to be Top 50 guys someday.
  8. The fact that he's on our roster is more of a sign of how thin our group is rather than how good he is.
  9. Great article, who wouldn't want to return to the days of Antowain Smith, Shaud Williams, Jonathan Linton, and Anthony "A-Train" Thomas?
  10. Boettger and maybe even Feliciano
  11. Like Marv Levy? I'd gladly take losing championship games and superbowls over finishing 6-10 to 9-7 every year
  12. He'd be an upgrade.
  13. To see if they're on track for the 5 year re-build I called when Beane started dumping talent the day he walked in the door. if JA can improve a little this year, and we can get some real offensive talent with our boatload of cash next year, then they could be ready in year 5 after they've gelled for a season.
  14. It's just same old Bills is all. There will probably be a good 9 former Bills that Beane let go in the playoffs this year - just like last year - while our guys spend January and February golfing.
  15. Winning?
  16. Salary was too high
  17. Wisniewski was just released by the Eagles. I think he's a definite candidate to look at for line depth.
  18. if this team were competing for the same thing the Chiefs are, I might agree with you, but we're 2 years away from that conversation.
  19. Going back to 2013 the Bills have ranked higher than 29th in Pass Percentage once (2014), you have to go back to 2011 for them to be in the top 10 (7th) at 60%. I don't think the stat alone helps that much in determining team success, because it can be affected heavily by the need to throw or grinding out games you're running away with. Last year The Pats, Rams, Saints Bears, Texans, and Ravens were all in the bottom 3rd and still made the playoffs and two of those teams were in the superbowl. However, the bills being 29th or lower every year without that kind of success is more indicative of outmoded style in my opinion.
  20. What are you talking about? Those other teams are all polar opposites of the patriots. The Rams have 3 great WRs and a top 3 RB (pre-knee issues), the saints have the best young WR in football and a top 5 RB, and the falcons have Julio Jones, a plethora of other weapons and Devonta Freeman. They aren't anything like NE's traditional blend of jobbers outside Julian Edelman and a committee of 9 RBs.
  21. While it's a completely new look for the team, I'm HIGHLY skeptical that they'll be very much improved over last year's group. I still think this is likely a bottom 5-10 unit unless someone like Foster breaks out. IMO, we've already seen the best of guys like Brown, Beasley, Gore, Kroft, and Yeldon and none of that is good enough to propel us into being a potent offense. We really need Robert Foster to shock the league and turn into a superstar and one of the two rookie TE's to prove the should have been drafted in the 2nd. I like Singletary, but I think he's a complimentary back, based on being so slow and small. It's hard to have a great offense when you don't have a RB capable of taking it to the house or a WR who's open even when he's covered. Only team I can think of that's built like that is the Pats, and Brady/Belichick nullify all standard rules.
  22. well for starters, they way overpaid for rosen. He was getting cut. A 3rd should have been the absolute highest anyone paid, but acquiring him was not bad and it still isn't. They can still use this year to judge if he's any good. If he takes over for fitz at some point, they can see what they've got or they can do that next year with a rookie. I don't think he's a top 31 forward personally, and he's an unbelievable drama queen. I've never seen a player who's done so little be such a whiny B word.
  23. Ok. I think the numbers and results speak for themselves. Eichel doesn't even play the same sport as McDavid.
