  1. Our struggles against them sure make a compelling case they aren't as bad as they've been. Fitz is always good for pulling a rabbit out of his hat, but these guys are truly bereft of talent on either side of the ball.
  2. Possibly when Seattle won their division with a 7-9 record?
  3. As a resident Allen detractor, I thought he did a lot of encouraging things early in the season that were stronger evidence of growth than today . Not that he didn't play great today - he did, but this Miami Dolphins team is one of the worst squads I've seen in the last 30 years. It's hard to use them as much of a barometer of anything. It's essentially a pre-season game that counts.
  4. Are we just going to act like they didn't have future HOFer Marcus Allen to pick up the slack?
  5. what a truly awful idea. There's a lot of years where the 6th seed doesn't even deserve to be there. More injuries, likely lower quality of on-field product, and ruining the record books. All for what? A few a extra bucks. I guess that's America.
  6. He'll probably get a fine less than Allen's for throwing the football into the stands.
  7. Kaep would be an instant upgrade to our QB room. He's like the successful version of JA.
  8. You can have a thing you don't deserve, and right now the Bills have a winning record. Enjoy. I'm sure it'll mean a lot in January.
  9. ? Based on what? This is not a good football team. They've been playing at a very mediocre level in an extremely weak year for the AFC. They've only been able to beat the very worst teams in the entire league so far, and have struggled mightily in several of those wins. Today's game should show you that this is a really a 3-6 team with masquerading as something better because of the 3rd easiest schedule in the league.
  10. Hauschka makes the kick and we just tie it, leaving McD/Daboll/Allen another opportunity to find a more creative way to lose. If we were an actual good team that deserved our record the Browns never would have even been in this game. It was a 60 minute race to the bottom, and the browns finished shooting themselves in the foot before we ran out of bullets.
  11. As someone that uses KPIs daily, this is 100% correct. It's just a more complicated word for "metrics"
  12. Who said drastic changes needed to be made? Have you ever been part of an acquisition/takeover? Drastic changes are often made not because they *need* to be made, but sometimes just because someone wants to, power, ego, etc. A company I used to work for was acquired earlier this year and they just announced they're shutting the whole thing down. I know for a fact is made $20M in profit with 50 employees and would've taken about 10-15 people to keep the lights on and that money rolling in. One of the apps I created while there was top 100 in the Google Play Store. They didn't shut it down because it wasn't popular, well reviewed or very profitable. They probably shut it down because it wasn't the next trillion dollar thing, like BillsFan89 referenced.
  13. No, it really wasn't. You're giving yourself way too much credit.
  14. My religion is critical thinking.
  15. Conservatives find liberal boogeymen wherever they go these days. Hot tip: reality has a liberal bias
  16. The Bills most definitely are if you look at where they are right now. I've been hammering this for a couple years now and it should be pretty obvious by now that it's the most realistic scenario. We should be able to agree by now that this team isn't a real contender this year. Tehy may win some big games, and even a playoff game, but they aren't anywhere near the caliber of the league's best, yet. Being a real contender by year 4 is contingent on Allen and Edmunds becoming stars, in my opinion, as well as finding another talent that completely breaks out and becomes a gamebreaker (Duke Williams, Milano, Knox, Oliver, Kroft, Lawson etc) That hasn't happened yet. Most of those players have all played very well, but they aren't taking over games by themselves the way you need players to if you want to be a top team. Ultimately this team still needs its young players to define who they are, find 1-2 offensive gamebreakers, and find another dominant presence on defense before you can really call them ready, at least in my book. I think another solid draft and some FA additions could get that rolling next year, with the team ready to compete with the real teams in the league by the following season. That's all of course pending on Allen turning into a capable player and Edmunds proving that he's at worst long-term starter material.
  17. Injury prone, injury prone, injury prone. This is year 3 of a 5 year rebuild. Jerry Rice and Fred Biletnikoff don't get this team a ring this year. Way too many other problems.
  18. Exactly. Better performance vs a team we were expected to beat vs a lesser performance against an unbeaten team that looked unstoppable.
  19. We're not even close to those guys. The problem with relying on a good defense, is that eventually they're going to have a bad game(s). At that point you need an offense capable of scoring at will to pull you through those situations. We have a Buffalo Classic offense that we can count on for a cool 10-17 points a game, and that type of jauron-ball just isn't going to get it done over the long haul. We need players and play-calling capable of racking up 1 play TDs when we need them. Very happy we're 4-1, but we aren't beating the league's best out there.
  20. It was week 5. We were 4-0 on the year going into that game and Trent was an early favorite for the Pro Bowl before the hit. Yea, he bounced back the next game (Week 7), btu he was never the same player again.
  21. I think Zay makes sense in a player for player trade like the Hughes deal. Let's move him for some other team's disappointing prospect and see if we can get anything out of them.
  22. Green is constantly hurt. Not sure why we'd want him. I'm also not even sure you can trade for an injured player.
