Shaq Lawson wants "that cash"
BullBuchanan replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like lawson, but he;s a 3rd/4th de on a decent team. Not paying a penny over 5.5M/year. He's completely replaceable. Couldn't even take Murphy's job. -

it's just as obvious now as it was then. -
Mario Addison is the obligatory add here.

Nope, I said Peterman outplayed Allen in pre-season - which he did. You're one of the many kids around here that has trouble with reading comprehension. Sorry, I can't fix that for you. I'll let you pick the stat to show Allen was the better QB yesterday. -

This is completely opposed to what actually happened. Allen had all day to throw. The line was borderline elite with how much time they gave him on all but a couple of plays. Maybe it looks like it because he holds the ball longer than any QB in the league. That's the privilege you get when a line gives you time. -
Agreed.

Duke Williams "Dropped" TD ***VIDEO OR IMAGES PLEASE***
BullBuchanan replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No other player on the roster could have even been in the position he was in to make that play. Maybe if he had been active the last 3 months, he would have caught it. -
That's absolutely the case. Have you ever head the phrases, "you could call holding on every play." or "the refs are letting them play/battle" That's exactly what that is. I'm sure there will be a change to the rulebook that clearly indicates "if a runner gives himself up" to solve it for next time, but I'll gladly take that and the loss over some tuckrule nonsense that gets us a win that the team didn't earn.

Did the offensive line really improve that much?
BullBuchanan replied to Meatloaf63's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen holds the ball the longest in the NFL and he had a clean jersey until his brain melted int he 4th. Until the end of the game, the time they were giving him was insane. He had all day back there. -
I think they did review it (in a sense), if those guys that ran on the field were from the league, which it looked like to me. My guess is that the Ref was about to call that a foul and the league stepped in so that another playoff game wasn't decided by controversy. The whole reason we have review-able PI now is because of the fallout from last year's Saints/Vikings. They opted to go in favor of the spirit of the rule, rather than the letter, and that's the way it should be. Otherwise, the game becomes unwatchable.

Locker Room Cleanout - interviews

You can take his 69.5 QBR from yesterday and stare at his poster on your wall. I prefer Watson's 121.2 The kid sucks. -
According to the Ref, it was going to be an illegal forward pass. It would have been a safety, not a Touchdown. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2020/1/5/21050351/should-the-bills-have-been-awarded-a-touchdown-on-second-half-kickoff-houston-texans

They're saying Allen struggled, not Watson. -
How to Define a Franchise QB in Today's NFL
BullBuchanan replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Those three are likely Top 5 all time, with maybe only Brees slightly outside of that. It's pure ridiculousness that they existed at the same time, so no I don't think we'll soon see their likes again, but you'll continue to have tons of guys in the Wilson, Roethlisberger, Rivers, Eli, Stafford, Ryan range that keep the league full of star talent. -
He may be smart off the field, but a lot of the time he plays the game like a big dumb animal.

Post Playoff Game - Is Josh Allen the Bills Franchise QB?
BullBuchanan replied to Bakin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He had all the time in the world through 3 and a half quarters and mustered 16 points. If he can't get it done with that line, we need to replace him. -
McDermott: Josh Allen 'tried to do too much' in loss
BullBuchanan replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd hate to see him "not doing enough" -
Next year's schedule is going to be brutal after this minor league lineup we played this year. Even if you're really on board with this squad, it's going to be an uphill battle to have a winning season.
-
Unless I'm mistaken the Referee called the touchdown and the league officials had him overturn it, which is their right, given it's technically a turnover. I'm assuming that's who those guys were, anyway.

What Changes will be made this Offseason?
BullBuchanan replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They won't make any changes of consequence. They'll bring in a few former busts and try to strike gold, along with a few overpaid vets from Carolina and they'll try to convince us that Danny Amendola is just what we need to put us over the top. Same Old Bills -
Post Playoff Game - Is Josh Allen the Bills Franchise QB?
BullBuchanan replied to Bakin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watson got sacked 7 times to Josh's 0 until the 4th. What's his excuse. Russel Wilson and Ben Roethlisberger have won SB's behind dog**** OL's. It's a lame excuse. -
Post Playoff Game - Is Josh Allen the Bills Franchise QB?
BullBuchanan replied to Bakin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's absolutely true that I never wanted him, and I've been forced to justify that against folks that fall all over themselves to put him on the wall of fame because he ate a chicken wing that one time. He seems like a good kid, but if you think he has what it takes to start in this league you haven't been paying attention. All of the QBs playing football this weekend and next were immediately elite (Besides Tannehill and Cousins was up and down), beating up on the elite QB's of past generations the second they stepped on the field. Allen in 2 seasons has yet to destroy anyone. The closest is probably the Minnesota game. Are we just going to walk into next year and he's throwing for 5k yards or winning a league MVP? I don't think so, and if he's not doing that then he's not good enough in today's NFL. He's a nice story, but I want a freak of nature that destroys everything in their path.
