  1. The idea that a corporation and/or news organization would have any sort of intentional political agenda that did not directly correlate to their bottom line has always been absurd at face value. The "media" is just a company like any other and they have a product that they sell in which they wish to get the maximum return for the minimum investment possible. They don't care whether their employees, partners, or customers are fascists or anarchists - only that it serves to generate them money. Certain brands, like Fox and MSNBC have carved out partisan ecosystems for themselves, but that's more a function of market niche in pursuit of the aforementioned financial returns, than any stoic principle they'll proudly stand for in the face of economic demise. In spite of all of that, those on the extreme right have continued to demand that media, big tech, and whatever corporation features a gay couple in a commercial is somehow a liberal institution instead of one that just understands how to maximize returns. They do this, while accused liberally biased companies like Facebook, pull shenanigans like this: "Mark Zuckerberg said banning Steve Bannon from the platform for advocating for the beheading of Dr. Anthony Fauci and FBI director Christopher Wray is 'not what our policies would suggest'" https://www.yahoo.com/news/mark-zuckerberg-said-banning-steve-172706111.html Zuckerberg, one of the world's richest people, is not anything remotely resembling the kind of "liberal" the right has defined in recent years. He may actually be a "neo-liberal" by definition, but then again so are most of the GOP who support corporatism, either openly or behind closed doors. This idea of "liberal" media is a nice 2 for 1 that tries to vaguely define political enemies in an Animal Farm type structure along with something even more insidious. Anyone that's ever spent time around their racist uncles can remember when The Liberal Media used to run by a different anti-Semitic moniker. Replacing it with the world "liberal" gets the same point across while being a little more socially acceptable at kids birthday parties and holidays. Much the same can be said for the whole George Soros fascination from the right. They can do all of this with a straight face because Fox News & the church told them they should feign support for a corrupt war criminal in Netanyahu and that means that they aren't bigots. Bravo! It's high time we started putting meaning back in words, because as Inigo Montoya would say:
  2. The quote below is the perfect example of what happened here Jackpot to the first person that can define a "communist liberal"
  3. We entered the game 3rd place in the conference and we left it 3rd place in the conference. What's there to feel pessimistic about? I don't think we're a legit SB contender this year. We could maybe get lucky against the good teams if they hand the game to us, but on even footing we aren't there yet, and that's ok. People are going to have to get used tot he fact that even when you're pretty good, you're going to lose games you should have won. It happens to every t4eam in the league - the Chiefs dumped to the Raiders, Baltimore to NE, etc, It happens, and it's not the end of the world. Be happy we have a better team than most.
  4. There is a 100% probability that it will be.
  5. Who's a liberal? If you need a dictionary, hit up Westside as he apparently isn't using his.
  6. It's November 16th 2020, and this is a reminder that Donald Trump lost the election to Joe Biden.
  7. I didn't even notice the officiating at all. They mostly stayed out of the game, and that's fine by me.
  8. Jacksonville is the obvious #1 and 2nd place comes down to the Dolphins and the Chargers.
  9. That's wild. Thanks for sharing. Judges are still just people after all and all people, especially powerful ones, have agendas and biases. When enough time goes by, we tend to make heroes out of people that would be at least somewhat flawed and divisive had we been alive to witness it.
  10. Hi westside3, No additional site needed to be created. This forum was an alt-right echo chamber that promoted alt-right conspiracy theories, accused board members of being sexual predators and suggested throwing others out of helicopters while praising war criminals, fascist dictators and white supremacy groups. They had carte blanche to do whatever they wanted and did so for YEARS. The first time that a mod actually had to get involved, rather than backing down, they went full Charlottesville and got a slap on the wrist. Instead of just letting it go, they had to be a big pile of snowflakes about the whole thing and made other people to blame instead of accepting an ounce of personal responsibility. ***** em. This board has already improved 1000% since they took their ball and cried all the way home. No one will stop you, so feel free to do the same
  11. TBD, where only the hottest of takes will suffice.
  12. I think Ford is on the bench now when he's healthy. I'd rather have Winters.
  13. Did you learn how tariffs work yet?
  14. Apparently, you need a thesaurus too.
  15. So was JaMarcus Russell
  16. aww, so close. Crack that dictionary and try again.
  17. What I hear from this is that you were wrong. Thanks for playing.
  18. Yea, see that right there is the problem. A complete lack of any evidence whatsoever caused "reasonable people" to "believe" things that were irrefutably false. Meanwhile the intelligence agencies had zero evidence that it existed. I don't really care what Lenny or the small town barber 'believes". We should have learned from the GW administration that a person's gut isn't to be trusted. I would much prefer people "believe" in the scientific method and let the experts that can gather and understand the evidence provide the deductions instead of talk show hosts on cable news.
  19. We'll see this play on highlight reels for 15 years, but I'm already forgetting about it. A non-conference loss, in a season where we're in 1rst place in the division with no realistic shot at the 1-2 seed, really means about as little as a loss can, no matter how it happens. This loss should really have no negative bearing on the rest of our season, and may even be helpful if it prevents it from happening again when more is on the line. Not even close top Top 15 for me.
  20. It's November 15th 2020, and this is a reminder that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election.
  21. Somebody's getting high on their own supply.
  22. Not here. Not most places.
  23. Again? When was the first time?
  24. The eagles wrecked my 1rst half 4 team parlay - I should've known better than to bet on those scrubs. I've got a get right parlay in the 2nd half Washington +17 Jacksonville +13 Cleveland 2nd half - 0.5
