  1. Why's that? Have you watched him play?
  2. they should just make it permanent. It could be a cool name to own. I bet College kids that are fans of "THE University of [name]" could get down with it too.
  3. 6 games into a 3 year extension? Beane:
  4. Drew Brees reminds me of a far more accurate version of Brett Favre with way less arm strength, who plays a methodical style of play instead of sandlot, who is less athletic, is more injury prone, but probably smarter. Besides that though, same
  5. Drew Bledsoe is one of m favorite players. They are not even even remotely close. Elway, my all-time favorite, would be a much closer comparison imo. Of course he's nowhere near that level yet.
  6. Oliver is not good, but I think you're redefining hyperbole if you think he's "one of the worst draft picks of the last 20 years" He's not even in the top 3 worst 1rst round picks of the Bills in the last 20 years, let alone all teams.
  7. I think he's on a massive hype train. Seems like just another small Alabama system QB to me.
  8. I'll count it as a win if we lose to Seattle by less than 40.
  9. Maybe they forgot to check where those teams are in the standings.
  10. With the Phins one game out of the division lead and Fitzpatrick playing well, this is mind blowingly stupid. Maybe it works and I eat crow, but right now they have to like their odds of making the playoffs.
  11. I never said losing out is probable. I said it's possible and that I wouldn't be shocked. What we saw the first 4 weeks was fools gold. It started to show in the Rams game, but they ran out of time. There is no evidence or reason to believe we should be beating good teams right now, because we are not a good football team. We're average at best. Average might be good enough to make the playoffs, but like our previous trips, we'll be shown to be pretenders immediately. That is, until something meaningful changes. Look at our schedule again and find me more than 5 wins in it. Firing Frazier would be a good start, but I fear that as long as McDermott is in charge, this team will never surpass beating bad teams and losing to good ones.
  12. You think we take 4 or even 5 games out of NE, SEA, AZ, SF, PIT, NE and then sweep the rest? We're FAR closer to my original prediction of 9-7 based on recent performance. I think they beat the Jets, making it look harder than anyone else has, but after that, I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they lost out. Miami is playing very well. and we've seen the Chargers and Broncos put up games. The rest of the schedule listed previously is a nightmare. The Bills got to the playoffs in very weak years for the AFC. Having to play the NFC west and an improved AFC makes this an uphill climb.
  13. When are we going to be one of the two 9-1 teams? If Ryan Tannehill can do it, and our guys cant - it's not a good look.
  14. I've seen this movie too many times. Yes, McDermott lead the team that broke the curse, and he'll always hold a place in Bills history for that. However, you can't just rest on that. Both times we did it stacking wins against inferior competition, and this year so far is shaping up to be much of the same. If we keep getting blown out by anyone that's an actual championship contender, then we aren't contenders - we're pretenders. You shouldn't get praise for that just because you're in Buffalo.
  15. Man, how brutal is it that the Chiefs get to add a weapon of this caliber. I know they dropped one to the Raiders, but if Bell is half the player he was with Pittsburgh, pencil them in to repeat.
  16. Can we hope in the way back machine and make this trade 8 years ago? We already have a bunch of over the hill underperformers.
  17. I think Addison has been our best player in the front 7. I'm more concerned about guys that were already on our roster who were were planning on being major contributors like Oliver, Edmunds, and Phillips. At this point, I'm declining Edmunds 5th year option and unless the light goes on real soon for Oliver, I think next year it would be the same thing. On top of that, Jerry Hughes and Murphy aren't getting it done at all. I'd rather give those snaps to Darryl Johnson and see if the kid can do something.
  18. This second video is typical Edmunds. Waiting for the play to come to him until he gets engaged by a blocker and is subsequently caught in the garbage.
  19. Edmunds is a significant weak link on this team. I know he's "only 22" and 3 years from now he'll be "only 25" or whatever, but I don't think he's a very good linebacker. He's an athletic freak capable of outstanding plays no doubt, but he has terrible instincts and doesn't have any ability to disengage blocks. At his current level of play, I see him as far more of a liability than any sort of asset and I'm looking to address the position early in the draft, if possible.
  20. It's extremely common for NFL rookies to have trouble keeping weight on, though I'd say that with the lack of a traditional offseason, it's more likely this is intentional to try to be a faster player.
  21. This is what I was looking for. He can't really double dip then. Thank you.
  22. Not sure what "Madden" has to do with it. In Madden, if you're paying top dollar for anything, you're doing it wrong. Everyone is just assuming it's vet minimum because it technically can be, I was just looking to see if that was the only deal he was allowed to get.
