Sal about FA QB's For Bill's - Hint ?
Real McClappy replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, Smith and Jackson would actually be pretty nice paired with one of the higher end FA QB's. -
Update! Beane is'nt done yet.

I'm good with this. -
Cordy Glenn traded to bengals

His feet are too small for the position? Cordy is a great LT when healthy. Bengals did pretty well for themselves. -

Everyone is so sure we are trading up It is plausible but watch Beaner go balls out and we sign Cousins now. The cap room is 100% there for a reason now and just about doubles next year. With the draft stock we have and Cousins we could be scary good. -
Sal C’s “Dear Browns fans....” about Tyrod Taylor
Real McClappy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This Classic, it would be me and Transplant going back and forth. YOU: “I can’t believe how many wide-open receivers Tyrod Taylor didn’t see or just refused to throw to. That cost us the game.” FRIEND: “Dude, what are you talking about? He’s the only reason we were even in this game in the first place. He should have been sacked 10 times.” YOU: “Umm, they had 150 yards passing. How do you expect to win like that in 2018? It’s a passing league.” FRIEND: “Whatever, man. Guy didn’t turn the ball over at all. Maybe someone else on the offense could make a play once in a while?!” YOU: “Do you even watch football, bro? How are they supposed to make a play if the damn quarterback won’t even get the ball to them? The wideouts had three total catches! Ridiculous.” FRIEND: “Haha, ok, ‘Coach’ (in a totally snarky voice). You’re so smart maybe you should design an offense around his skill set, since Todd Haley clearly isn’t doing that.” YOU: “So it’s everyone’s fault except the quarterback! Got it.” FRIEND: “What do you want, man? Taylor is the best quarterback this organization has had since we came back in the league in 1999.” YOU: “Right, because Tim Couch and Kelly Holcomb are such high bars to attain. I seriously can’t believe how dumb you are. By the way, I’m done. Not going to the game with you next week. I can’t stand to watch this 1970s passing attack anymore.” FRIEND: “Cool. Sit home with your miserable self and play Madden. It’s so much easier that way.” YOU: “Shut up, dude.” FRIEND: “Screw you. Don’t tell me to shut up.” **Fight ensues** -
Who do you want for a veteran qb?
Real McClappy replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would suck if the Jets snagged him. They have the $$$$ to do so though. -
Barkley is hands down a generational talent. He is not Trent Richardson 2.0 by any stretch. With 1 and 4 taking the best RB/player in this draft off the bd. they can easily still hit on one of the top 4 guys. Them not taking a QB at 1 or 4 would def be the dumbest thing the Browns could do no doubt.

If the Bills Trade up for Rosen or Mayfield I'm 100% on board with McCown as the bridge/mentor QB. With 15 years exp across the league knowing his time as a player is a season or 2 away, I believe he would hands down be the best suited candidate for us to mold our shiny new toy at QB. -
Worked out pretty damn good for the Eagles. The Browns passing on Wentz before hindsight was dumb. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2017/04/the_carson_wentz_trade_tracker.html Posted April 29, 2017 at 11:23 AM | Updated May 01, 2017 at 03:54 PM 223shares Comment Carson Wentz photo by The Associated Press Following the 2016 Browns-Eagles trade BEREA, Ohio – When the Browns drafted Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer in Friday’s second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, he became the ninth player tied to last year’s pre-draft trade with the Eagles. The trade – which fans might always remember for the Browns passing on the chance to draft Carson Wentz - originally resulted in the Browns giving up two picks in exchange for five from the Eagles. The Browns have traded four of those five picks, with a 2018 second-round pick the only one left untouched (as of now). Those five picks from the Eagles have turned into 10 additional picks via the four trades. The haul of picks the Browns have accumulated from the deal won’t end until the 2018 draft. So let's take a closer look at where the path from last year's trade has led. - By Scott Patsko, cleveland.com Carson Wentz photo by Joshua Gunter, cleveland.com Breaking down the 2016 deal Here’s a look at what each team got in the trade: Browns got 2016 first-round pick (No. 8) 2016 third-round pick (No. 77) 2016 fourth-round pick (No. 100) 2017 first-round pick (No. 12) 2018 second-round pick (TBD) Eagles got 2016 first-round pick (No. 2, Carson Wentz, QB) 2017 fourth-round pick (No. 139, traded to Vikings for No. 132, Donnell Pumphrey, RB)

So... Is A.J. McCarron Back in play?
Real McClappy replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McCarron is the most overrated QB to prove ZERO I have ever seen. I don't see the love affair with this guy? If he was better than Dalton he would have been starting no? -
Why Is No One Talking About Jay Cutler?

This 2x over -
People don't understand playing to Foles strengths and that he is 29 years old which is basically a QB's prime where the timing and speed really are nailed down. Sign me up for Foles paired with Jackson or Rudolph all day. It's amazing how some fans think we are too good for a SB bowl MVP that just went toe to toe with GOAT and came out on top. Amazes me every time I read it honestly.

Bradford and Rudolph should be the plan
Real McClappy replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Foles paired with Jackson would be a great package IMO as well. Same Rosen or Mayfield is my A plan with McCown as bridge for 1 year. Foles paired with Jackson or Rudolph is my B plan. Not that it matters though lol, but would be ideal for me. -
So...Matt Moore as the Bridge QB?
Real McClappy replied to RalphWilson'sNewWar's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we are trading up high for Rosen or Mayfield I would personally much rather bring in McCown to help groom our shiny new toy. Can prob sign him on a 7-10mill contract max and I feel he would be a great mentor with his 15 years experience around the league. IDK, I still want a competitive team next year and think we still can be with him. Let him take a pounding for a year while the rookie tries to learn the timing and speed of the NFL. We don't want to break the new guy. -

Don't you want Moore than this? -
You got me, I honestly have nothing to say to this.

OPINION: We have a trade partner in place
Real McClappy replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe on the Colts front that could happen. Reich is a smart dude and knows his team has way to many holes to fill right now. The smart move for them would be to trade back IMO. Giants are in the same boat if truly commited to Eli for the next 2-3 years. FA and draft day cannot get here soon enough. This is the weirdest offseason PRE-FA I have ever seen. -
So they should have pissed away 6mill in cap and said screw the 1st pick in the 3rd? This is what a FO does to become a winner in the future.
-
Whatever Beane and McD decide I think I'll be OK with for the most part as I now trust the process after todays move. These guys are serious about getting a a QB to get us to the next level. Foles still has about 8 years in his tank and I'm cool with that as well but would like to see a Rudolph, Jackson or White to develop behind him. The NFL is about to open up a ton in the next 2-3 years as the following will most likely be gone - Brady, Ben, Eli, Rivers and Brees I want us to be 100% ready to go and make some serious noise.
