Closest NFL comparison to Mason Rudolph... Tom Brady

This is where I see him as well and prob would most benefit from sitting behind a Ben, Brady, Brees or Smith a couple years. The same also applies to J.Allen IMO. I personally think we need a more sure fire option right now. If we did say take Allen or Mason and try to plug them in right away we would most likely break them as they need some time to develop. I can't wait until 4/26 draft day... -
just take jackson and keep picks

Did you happen to see who his RB's, TE's and WR's were for the Cardinals? Jaylen Smith might get drafted as he was decent and has good size. I was not pretty. -

I respect your opinion man. I can see him going 2nd - 3rd, I have a feeling the Pats might try and snag him as well. -

Then why did he bring Daboll here? -

It says can win not can't? The part I highlighted is the upside that makes him interesting. He seems to be getting better and better and no one truly knows his ceiling. How can anyone say average to below average starter when his ceiling is not defined? Look, I'm not a Mason ball washer, he sits around 5th or 6th for me. You can't deny his upside. -

My personal stock for this kid has rose a ton over the last week doing my own little research. This article is pretty much spot on to the conclusion I had during that research. He jumped to #3 for me a couple days ago and I would be happy to see him in a Bills Uni all day. 1. Rosen 2. Mayfield 3. Jackson or BUST....... -
Closest NFL comparison to Mason Rudolph... Tom Brady

It's due to the Bottom line I highlighted below. BOTTOM LINE Pocket quarterback with good size who has shown consistent improvement as a passer. Rudolph is more of a downfield, play-action passer than a quarterback who can win with precision and arm strength. He's a capable field reader who has the ability to operate with timing which will be important since his arm can be dull at times. Rudolph could be an early backup with the potential of becoming an average to below average starter in the league. -

This is right where I'm at as well. I will trust the decision of McD and Beane is they decide to gamble or roll the dice on this kid. -

That is the debate and what our FO/Scouts need to determine. SIze = both 6'5 40's = both around 4.8 Weight = Mason is currently 235 and Ben coming out I think was 241. -

His scouting reports coming out of college are better than Brady's. This is were the OP is trying to make some comparison. I do not think Mason will ever be Brady personally. I do feel he has upside to Big Ben as the physical traits are there. -

Funny how it's the OP's 1st post on the board and he get's blown up or trolled by the "VET's" here for sharing his opinion. I like Mason as well, he has a ton of upside. If we can't land Rosen or Baker I have no problem if McD or Beane take him or Jackson. It's all out of our hands. -

It's more like little brother that is 2X better than big brother at the same thing. -

Jackson ran the exact same offense in college that our New OC will run. I'm not sold on your first paragraph. -

You know Jackson had 2K more passing yards in 13 less games in college over Tyrod? Ohh, and 25 more passing TDs, along with 2K more rushing yards. All in 13 less games, but you know Jackson sucks. Tyrod wishes he could be Jackson. -

If the Bills can't get Rosen or Mayfield I'm all in on Jackson. Cunningham 2.0 -

Cool, I trust whatever Beane and McD decide at the position as long as they don't Skip over the position. I'm not a big Josina fan from ESPN but she did this quick segment on Jackson that is spot on. http://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/22544007 -

For the record I'm Rosen or Mayfield guy. That does not appear to happening so why not have a sane conversation about next options? Everyone gets so pissy or heated over any conversation about the QB position, it's crazy. -

Then you know who Randall Cunningham is? It's the closest resemblance I can come up with. -

TY Skycap, It just makes sense as Jackson ran the Erhardt-Perkins offense at Louisville, which happens to be the same offense Brian Daboll was basically schooled in. IDK, I have been reading up more and more on all the QB's and honestly don't understand why Jackson is not considered top 3 right now. The former 2016 Heisman has almost 120TDs in 2.5 years in college, 9000 passing yards and was basically the entire Offense. He made his players better. Also, excluding QB spikes, throw always and WR drops he had a 73% completion percentage. -

OP, I honestly feel like L.Jackson is the QB we have been eyeing all along as he somewhat fits the Cam Newton mold these Carolina boys are hunting for. If this is the guy they want to take then go for it at 12. I'm hoping for a solid LB'er at 22nd then. -
