We dumped a WR1 and now have to use another 1st on a WR1 for Allen. Zay is supposed to replace Woods which looks like it will not turn out well at this stage, so in addition we need a WR2. Whaley was getting EJ a WR#1 to pair with Woods, Hogan, Goodwin, Spiller and Fred Jackson. Trading up to get Watkins in hindsight was horrible. Everyone knows though at the time Watkins was hands down the best scouted WR of the class. He was giving the rookie QB a chance to turn into something. It is what it is though. Whaley was forced EJ, this isn't even debatable or some theory as Nix flat out said it's was his parting gift to Buffalo. Whaley was forced Rex Ryan = end story. I liked Whaley and still do as GM. Guy was a real HC of his choice and a QB away from great things here.

I had us around 6-7 wins this year trying to develop a rookie QB. The development is what has me the most concerned though with Allen. Honest? What will the Bills do if Allen shows no progression throughout the year? Give him more weapons next year or do they try to go another direction at QB? I personally hope they build around him but you never know what will unfold.

Nor did he have anything to do with Mahomes and that is kinda the point to this whole thread being mute. Allen needs more weapons around him like Mahomes to make a fair accurate statement about him. This is not going to happen this year unfortunately and we will see Mahomes, Watson and Rosen threads for the next year straight. If you flip the script right now with Allen starting in KC and Mahomes here, We would have a thread right now like this---> Someone needs to be fired over Allen right now.

So we will pay 10mill a year for Star and 8mill a year for Murphy but not a dime on WR? Woods is easily worth 6mill a year for a top notch #2 WR whom we drafted to become that. Now we are hosed in finding a stud #1 and #2 at the position. Fun times.

Isn't it the norm though from this team? Not signing our drafts picks after or before the rookie contract is up? I hope continuity at the FO resolves this problem.

Trade deadline is 10/30 with 4 games until then. The only way I see Beane trading for anything would be if we were 5-3 at the mid-way. I do think they should bring in a Vet QB to help mentor Josh as we don't have a QB coach.

I agree with everything listed. I could see them dumping KB for just about anything they could get at this point.
