Also, the Bills and Browns rosters in 2014-2016 were bipolar opposites talent wise. We still don't 100% know what went down between McD, Pegula and Whaley. If I had to imagine McD's and Whaley's vision were 100 opposite on how to build the team. All we do know for Whaley's 3rd coaching staff we went all D happy in an offensive league. I have a feeling this is where Doug finally stepped up to ownership and McD before the draft and said something? It didn't match McD's plan and Pegula had such a woody for him they parted ways. Knowing how much Whaley wanted Watson it's clear as day he had zero control of the 2016 draft and his tenure was over.

Yes it is very fair to say that. Whaley had to be torn inside like no other having to waste more draft capital on D when it was already set just fine before his arrival as you stated. Offensively the weapons were still there minus a true QB. Greg Roman actually did a real fine job with this Offense handcuffed at the QB position. Anthony Lynn learned a ton from Roman and it carried over. The only thing that was done right under Rex was Hiring Greg Roman, everything else was a complete disaster. I often think of how this team would look If Pegulas gave Whaley full control of our HC hire instead of hand picking McD by themselves. I can almost guarantee Watson would be here, Watkins and Richie (we never would have low balled him). Past is the past. Happy for Whaley and wish him luck. This Bills F'd this guy over pretty bad once our rookie owners took over. He had a pretty damn good team built overall. Was a HC and QB away of his choice from really great things here. Nix and ownership was 100% determined on a QB his last draft. Nothing was going to change that even if Whaley wanted it to. Our owners flat out hired Rex. Nothing was going to change that even if Whaley wanted it to. Should he of had a baby tantrum to Terry and Kim? For what's it's worth I have seen worse performances by a guy named the same. There is a ton of truth in this statement that I has witnessed several times on those long drinking nights.

He was being astute. 1.4 Billion is chump change for a NFL team that will pay for itself in 4-5years. The team is already worth 1.6B as I type. It must be really nice to own a team for 3 years and make 1 Billion in revenue and have the team value increase 28%. I highly doubt they are embarrassed with a a very, very solid investment.

I have looked at this play several times and understand the rule as to why it's not a PI on a rub route that needs to be 1 yard past the LOS to be "true" PI. This is damn near close to 1 yard past the sticks and debatable but whatever. What I don't understand is if the league is truly trying to protect it's players how the hell is this still not called for hit on a defenseless WR or helmet to helmet foul? At the 3 second mark Zay gets destroyed from behind while the ball is in the air 2.5 yards away from him.

Drafting Skill positions will no doubt. There is no harm in spending $ on proven Oline man in FA to keep all that matters upright and a running game churning.

This is where we disagree. I have zero issues if the Bills spent 30 mill bringing in 3 stud/proven O-line guys from FA. I don't want to have to think or worry about the O-line for many, many years. I much rather a team blow their wad on a top QB and O-line over anything else in today's game but that is just me. White, Milano and Dawkins are locked up for the next 2.5 years. I highly doubt Beane and McD are thinking chess or 3 moves ahead when they are in a win now checkers mode. I mean, look at half our fan base and media right now. We got that monkey off our backs last year and this coaching staff is only 50% through their visioned rebuild (all in 1.5 years) but everyone must be fired?

What are we sitting on 90 million for? If Beane and McD are smart they invest heavily into the O-line come FA on proven players. College lineman, you cannot trust them as a day1 starters anymore if drafted high. Use the draft to correct the WR and TE positions. Invest a 3rd-4th rd pick on a real QB2 with high upside. The D is fine aside from a CB#2 right now. Mcd had 2 years to play around on the D side, it's time for Offense.
