  1. That was pure class by Reed, Fred & the Bills organization.
  2. Fans are funny. There was a crowed that wanted to trade up no matter what the cost as long as the Bills got their QB, but what they really meant was trade up as long as the Bills drafted the QB the fan wanted at QB. There was also a crowd that wanted to hold on to all the picks and fill the holes but not the QB hole. What they really meant was draft the kids the fans wanted or it was a failed draft. I've said it all along, I don't care just get the kid they want and the Bills did just that. There's no way to know how any of these kids will pan out so lets not label any of them a failure or bust just yet. I think it's fair to say, you feel the Bills gave up too much to get Allen especially knowing the Cards gave up a 3rd and a 5th along with swapping 1st to get Rosen. It would have been great to hold on to one of their 2nd round picks but at the end of the day the Bills got two great players and I've heard mixed reviews about the Bills draft but most are saying they love what the Bills did. I wasn't big on Allen myself but he seems like a very high character kid with a lot of upside and I'm happy the Bills jumped up and took the kid they wanted. Obviously they liked Allen better than Rosen and I imagine it's due to the injuries and size. Last year they traded down and got White and I remember a lot of fans didn't like that pick...well how did that pan out?
  3. Don’t believe everything you read in the media. The offensive players n UCLA have no issues with him, he’s a hard worker and pushes them to play better...and I hate UCLA. #Pac12 #ASU
  4. Well, if the Bills do have to give up next years #1 then picking high won't really matter to them, if they are going to be bad next year then why not stay put and address as much as they can with their current picks, roll the dice with AJ and then use next years high #1 on a QB? Seems to me if you all the pieces in place and just need 1 it's easier to trade away picks for the guy you covet, or if AJ does end up being the guy then even better. Again, I'm not saying they should do this and I don't envy them right now because this is a very difficult position to be in and why they are paid.
  5. I get it, I've been a fan since I was a little kid and lived through the 70s and 80s. I just don't like some people including jerks on the radio acting like their opinion is right and if you disagree and have an opinion of your own you're wrong. Its an opinion so there's is no right or wrong.
  6. its funny, so if you don't think a QB in the draft is worth giving up all the picks for and you think the Bills have too many holes to fill and disagree with the "at any cost get a qb" crowd you're stupid? Just to play devils advocate, say the Bills give up whatever it takes to get a QB and said QB ends up being Ryan Leaf or just an average QB and in 3 years the Bills are still looking for a "franchise" QB and haven't been able to find a LB, DE, RB, WR or OL then what? Would the "whatever it takes" crowd say "at least they took a shot"? Personally I don't care what the heck they do, just get players that will pan out. Part of me thinks sitting at 12 will still get them a QB and part of me still says what have any of these kids done that AJ hasn't? What makes any of them better than AJ in the NFL? I'm good if they trade up and get a QB they believe in, I'm good if they stay put and get a player they believe in and I'm good if they trade down, at this point, I just want them to improve.
  7. Zer, I'm not a KC fan. I'm just stuck living here until I sell my house and move back to Phoenix. I never had an issue with the Chefs until I moved here and then I had to suffer through Len Dawson on TV, most annoying broadcaster I've struggled to hear, on top of that I'm so sick hearing KC fans talk **** about the Bills for not making the playoffs because apparently making the playoffs only to loose in the first round and be in the same place as the Bills, watching from home. Now I just can't stomach the Chefs as much as I don't like NE.
  8. Right, he's so valued that he had every team beating down his door to sign him and he chose KC because he has a chance to play with a great QB and win a SB.. Yea, NOPE. If KC makes the playoffs they will be out in round one, as usual. You can spin this however you like. I personally could careless where he plays or how much he gets paid, I'm not going to act like he's been so productive or better than Woods. Its funny that some Bills fans never really appreciated the value of Woods. Woods was productive because he's a good WR. He runs fantastic routes and has great hands.
  9. Think about what you just wrote. The Bills drafted Watkins and it's been a fight about trading up to get him for years so the Bills traded him to LA where he didn't do much and KC then signs him and Andy Reid is the genius? Seriously? He just over paid for a WR that's consistently hurt and disappears for games at a time, buy yea he can judge talent. SMH
  10. Gruden likes every QB and that's why he had 50 of them when he coached in Tampa. I just don't see the hype for Mahomes and living here I can tell you the Chefs had no other option but to move on from Smith because the fans were bitching and complaining to start Mahomes (not all but the loudest ones were).
  11. Meh - I don't see Mahomes being much more than an average QB.
  12. Craig and Sweetness were around before Thomas, and I think Thomas gets forgotten about just like Craig does. Thomas seemed to get more talk during the SB runs because that team was so popular. That all being said I'd take Thomas and his unselfish play over LT and Faulk. I would also take Marcus Allen over them as well. If an argument is going to be made because of a bench press or combine numbers then Bo Jackson. Some of the things Thurman did on the field were just amazing for a RB. One handed catches, diving catches, and he could track the deep ball like a WR on top of that he could run with power and with elusiveness. Adding in personality and sorry, Thurman is head and shoulders above LT and Faulk. I'm not saying TT is a top 5, because there are so many greats that played the position but he's in the top 20's as is LT and Faulk, but I would rank TT above both of them and I'd have Marcus Allen above TT, LT and Faulk.
  13. There would be no Faulk or LT with out Thurman. Thurman was an every down back and really was the first to come out and line up at WR. On top of that Thurman had to share the field with a stacked offense that had great skill players. Thurman can be summed up in 1 game vs Miami where he single handily beat the Dolphins very early in his career, those games and plays became the normal and while kids like LT and Faulk were developing their games they tried to mimic Emit and Thurman and Thurman was doing it all. LT was a great player just like Barry was a great player but Walter Payton is the best RB of all time no matter what the stats say. Just because there are younger players doesn’t mean they are better.
  14. Sorry, LT, Faulk and Peterson are not as good as Thurman. I’m not even sure why this has to be said.
  15. Andy Reed is their problem. He is pass happy. Smith is what he is and the reason the 49ers traded him to KC to begin with and now the reason KC traded him to Washington. Don't get me wrong, Smith is a capable QB but not a long term solution. I don't think Mahome is going to be an upgrade.
  16. Look Alex Smith is a nice QB that has similar problems that Taylor has. He doesn't like to throw a WR open and he seems to have issues throwing over the middle. He's also capable of getting a team to the playoffs only to loose in the first round. KC didn't have an option but to move on from Smith. I personally think Mahomes was a reach in the first round last year and not worth the trade up to get. Living in KC and hearing the fans and crying for Mahomes just forced their hand and that right there tells me more about whats going on with the Chefs and their FO more than their belief in Mahomes.
  17. No. Smith is what he is, but apparently delusional Chefs fans can be found here.
  18. No. Mahoney was a reach and KC will be looking for a QB soon.
  19. Yes. My conversation with my brother was just about players that were on the SB teams. Just to sit here and think, that roster had so much talent yet the big name players never got a ring. The funny thing is I actually told my brother that Rob Freaking Johnson has a ring and that's just wrong.
  20. I agree, and I'm not saying I like the idea, I just see it taking that much to move up to #2. Personally I'd rather they roll with AJ and keep the draft picks. What have any of these kids coming out of college done that he hasn't? At the same time I can understand everyone's frustration with finding a QB.
  21. I can see the Bills sending both 1st, one second and that 3rd round pick they got from the Browns along with another pick perhaps in 2019 to the Giants for the 2nd pick in the draft.
  22. I was talking with my brother today and the topic of the 90's Bills came up and how many great players they had and he mentioned that Beebe was the only member to get a ring, that got me thinking and it's not true, here's a list and it's funny to see Don Beebe (WR) - went to 2 with Green Bay but only won 1 Mike Lodish (NT) - went to 3 with Denver and won 2 Rick Tuten (P) - won 1 with the Rams although he was injured for the last part of the season but still got a ring Bill Polian (GM) - obviously won with the Colts Frank Reich (QB) - as we all know won as a coach with Philly Then there are players that went but didn't win with other teams John Parrella (DT) - lost with the Raiders Gale Gilbert (QB) - lost with the Chargers (he went to 5 straight SBs) Chris Oldham (CB) - lost with the Steelers Jerome Henderson (CB) - lost with NE Monty Brown (LB) - lost with NE Cornelius Bennett (LB) - lost with the Falcons Glenn Parker (G) - lost with the Giants Brad Daluiso (P) - lost with the Giants Just crazy thats all that moved on from those great teams of the 90s
  23. TBH - I'm fine with any QB other than Jackson. He just looked horrible during his pro day. He seems to really struggle outside the numbers and too many throws were high.
  24. A private workout is just part of the interview process, these kids are set to sign HUGE contracts. If they don't want to do the workouts then choose a different profession.
