Agreed he could, and just as easily he might be the answer in the offense we are running. I think many of us feel this is TT's last year. After 7 years, 3 as a backup, its obvious he isn't a franchise QB. So...odds are its Peterman or a 1st rounder next year. Some want to go ahead and get a jump start on getting the answer. I do not feel it will happen, minus injury, before the last 6 games or so of the season, but that is just my opinion.

Teef, I agree and disagree. The only true way to develop is to play. That said, he does need a little more time. I think by mid season if we are sub .500 and TT is still holding the ball etc, then put Peterman in with a limited playbook. Start with what they know are his strengths, then add a little. They need to know what they have in him. IF there is a possibility in THIS offense, he can be the answer, then great! We have tons of draft ammo to help upgrade the talent. If he isn't and or they feel he is just a great backup, then again we have the ammo to try and acquire a franchise QB in the upcoming draft. If you don't play him, you won't know.

No way in Hell is Watkins worth 3-4 wins, not now, not ever. I say 6-7 right now with new systems, adjustment etc. Personally I want 1-2 wins so we can have the #1 pick in 2018. Depending on if we actually draft a franchise QB in 18' and do well with the draft, I say 10 wins next year.

At this point IR his ass so he can come back later. Get Dawkins all the reps at LT and lets move on. The longer we keep Dawkins from getting all the LT reps he can, the longer it will be to try and get him up to speed But Every HC/GM combo SAID one thing and DID another. NONE addressed Franchise QB. Watkins, imho, was a primadonna and lazy. Bolden doesn't put up with that. I still say dumping Sammy was the best thing we could do for the WR Corp as a whole. I think many are going to be surprised by how well the WR's perform IF TT gets them the ball

Well Peter, it seems ownership may have finally got it right for once. Since Marv/Polian/ Butler this team has been a cluster at HC/ GM. So yes I agree, no matter what, McD and Beane get at least 5 years. Regardless of record, leave them alone and let them try to build a team
