  1. What's lost is your marbles. Seriously, you're trolling, right? (I hope) Lol There are several "serious" issues with this team currently...Edmunds is NOT one of them.
  2. So did Lance Armstrong, but what has he done without PEDs???
  3. "I remember...I remember, don't worry. How could i ever forget? Its the first time (Super Bowl), the last time (Music City "Miracle)..."
  4. Could be, but 2018 season was mentioned several times on the same page. I hope you're right though. That would save $100.
  5. This is what I read, but maybe it's just a ploy to get people to spend the extra cash: Don't miss a single play. Watch up to eight games at once, all in HD, on our exclusive NFL SUNDAY TICKET Mix Channel^. Not home? No problem. With NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX, you can stream live games on your tablet, phone, and other devices†.
  6. Yeah, it's clearly a case of trademark infringement here...
  7. I just looked at their website. It says the opposite.
  8. It was just poorly worded, assuming you meant that those QBs didn't start their rookie seasons right away/week 1.
  9. Not surprising. Nate played well enough in preseason. O-line looks bad and Allen isn't quite ready...same strategy as the Bears last year with Trubisky.
  10. Block in the back penalties is a league wide issue, not just the Bills. And it looked like the refs blew one against the Bills yesterday. But yes, they're too frequent.
  11. One of my favorite phrases is "numbers never lie, but they rarely tell the whole truth". Looking strictly at completion %s, the general observer would assume that Rosen is more accurate than Allen. That may or may not be true, but simply using completion % isn't an exact barometer. Several other factors play a role in those numbers. What percentage of each player's passes were 40+ yards downfield that decrease completion %? What percentage were WR screens that increase completion %? Schemes are different, supporting talent is different, etc. Its far from analyzing and comparing in a controlled environment because there's so many variables involved. The Bills QB search was over a year in the making, evidenced by their restructuring of Taylor's contract, and the acquisition of numerous draft picks shorlty after, so I would think its safe to say that McBeane did their due diligence, and came to the conclusion that Allen had a good chance to become more than most casual fans might expect. They don't go off of regurgitated media narratives, they trust their own judgement. And while Allen's completion % wasn't ideal and has at least some reflection on accuracy issues, there was plenty more to like about the kid to give the guys in charge reason for optimism. He's very smart, has a good head on his shoulders, comes from a solid, hard working family upbringing, very motivated after being overlooked since high school. And of course, he has a cannon arm that can more than just cut through windy winter WNY conditions (Wyoming weather is pretty rough that time of year), and is athletic enough to avoid pressure that would create more hurries or sacks of a less mobile QB. Footwork was his biggest issue. Not saying it was the reason for a poor completion%, but certainly a contributing factor. In a short amount of time, Allen has improved in that area, and Palmer was a major help there. Things like foorwork and throwing motion can be worked on. Being a spoiled dbag and having a history of concussions cannot be worked on. He's slowly checking off some of the boxes that were question marks. And while its encouraging to see, I'm still a bit hesitant and need to see much more before I'm ready to call him the savior. But it definitely is the closest feeling of having finally found that player that we've had since Kelly.
  12. Allen's athleticism can help make up for blocking deficiencies, as evidenced by his TD pass last night. He's not a statue back there.
  13. Thats exactly what I told some friends on Thursday night, and to keep an eye on #45. He didn't disappoint.
  14. It was one guy's opinion, and BR for that matter. They're not exactly known for their in depth, accurate reporting or depictions. I rarely watch ESPN anymore, but I was interested to hear what was being said there. They're signing a much different tune, and one guy (Darren Woodson?) even said that with more reps, Allen is going to be a superstar. Of course, that is also just one guy's opinion, but it paints a much different picture.
  15. Maybe I'm alone here, but I didn't think AJ was anywhere near as bad tonight as people are saying. The line was pretty bad when he was in. Run game barely got going. Play calls seemed extremely vanilla and predictable. And the Browns were blitzing pretty heavy early on. AJ had no shot tonight IMO (KB did let one slip through his hands). That said, I agree that Allen looks good (aside from two rookie mistakes in two games), seems to be making progress, and should get the nod next Sunday to try and secure the starting job.
  16. I think some of the criticism in this thread is a bit heavy, but not totally unwarranted. What we saw from him tonight is exactly what I saw from him in college and posted here months ago. That said, chill! He's a rookie, and its VERY early in his career.
  17. It wasn't the first time a team got help and "backed in" to the playoffs...step one is to put yourself in the position to even be able to get in with some help. The Bills did that much last year. Didn't the Giants "back in" when they beat the **Pats in the Super Bowl??? Sure, the Bills had some luck (for once). That shouldn't take away from what they did do, what they could control. Sometimes its better to be lucky, than good. The drought is over. Regardless of how it happened, embrace it.
  18. Overall, I liked what I saw from the Bills and many players individually as well. I don't think any questions have been answered, but the picture is becoming clearer in several aspects, with more positive answers than negative. With that said, its just one preseason game, but I'm slightly more optimistic that the Bills will end up being a little bit better than I expected.
  19. I bet Herman Gaynor remembers November 29, 1998... http://www.profootballweekly.com/lists/2017/11/29/c3eb88f0b74949878d62de0cfde99f2d/index.xml?page=1
