  1. Composed thoughts? This team is about what I thought this team would be since April. Growing pains, new system on offense, little talent across the board, especially at WR. This was expected. The Bills were making the hard but necessary move to shed bad contracts and bite the dead money bullet in 2018, while getting some important rookie experience in the meantime. Fans might not like it now, and it might be hard to watch and frustrating at times, but the end result is what I'm looking forward to. Unfortunately that won't be this year. But I knew that, and I'm "fine" with that. Just make sure that you properly execute the plan along the way.
  2. One of the great TBD "too soon" over reactions was worrying about a 20 Y/O MLB looking lost. Once the game really slows down for him, and he's not thinking so much, we'll have ouselves a damn good player. He'll be hitting his prime at 24 Y/O...
  3. He flailed his arm 3 or 4 times on a clear hold, and was literally choked to his knees from behind. I hate "blaming" refs for losses, but the team was being egregiously demoralized very early in the game, and many of those blatantly obvious non-calls would have had mahor impacts on those drives. The KB no-call seemed like the right one, but yesterday's game was one of the worst officiated games I can recall, especially aginst the Bills...and there have been many over the years. Now with that being said, even if those penalties would have been called, it may not have mattered. The Bills offense was hot garbage, starting with the game plan and play calls.
  4. Thanks, I was looking for a laugh on a $#!++ฯ Monday morning.
  5. Its been much more than that. This is one of the worst officiated games I can recall. Block in the back on the quick screen, Hughes flailing his arms multiple times whike being held...he was literally being choked to his knees from behind. Its been horribly one sided. That said, Allen looks pretty bad, cant get the run going, Daboll is calling a bad game, and the defense looks like hot garbage.
  6. You had me until 2 alcoholic beverages... Seriously, though, this is a great idea. Great way to bring together modern technology and convenience.
  7. Fred Warner is a stud, and a steal in the 3rd. Very instinctive player. Foster came back and the 49ers kept Warner on the field, and continued to let him "call" the defense (from what I could tell).
  8. A lot of idiot, generic NFL fans have sort of glossed at the notion...somewhat jokingly. Thing is, Rodak and ESPN is intended to cater specifically to exactly that crowd. Everything Stupid People Need
  9. Clearly... If there's a hell on earth, this may be it. Peterman/Fales just has a fitting sound to it.
  10. IDK...AJMac did mentor a "project" into a "superman" Fixed it for ya? And everyone else
  11. We're fans, and its a message board. We can look ahead all we want, even if the predictions aren't logical. The team itself is where "one game at a time" applies. With that being said, I don't know what to expect this Sunday. A Bills win at GB would be rare, and hobbled or not, AR is the best QB of all-time. Bills may be fired up now, but getting behind early could be tough with a rookie QB. GB can run the ball well, but they also give up the run. Could be a "shortened" game. They are pretty banged up on defense now as well (they did just sign Breelund). At +10.5 I'd take the points, but a Bills outright win would certainly be surprising. Tennessee at home is definitely winnable IMO. They may have just upset the Jagoffs on the road, but divisional games are very tough to call. I had a good feeling it was going to be a low scoring, defensive game (didn't see 9-6 TEN though). Their QBs are banged up, and losing Walker was a major blow to their offense. Houston is pretty bad. Bills being on road doesn't matter much. The Texans may pick up a win or two (<doubtful) between now and then, but they're struggling to keep teams from scoring against them. Good chance for a win there. Indy may be relatively on par with the Bills talent wise, but Luck is still pretty good. He may be a bit rusty still, so another couple of games between now and then should help him to shake most of that off. If the Bills defense can at least play close to the same level as they have over the last 6 quarters, I could see 2-2 over the next 4. 3 or more wins would surprise. Realistically, though, i think 1-4 is probably the most likely outcome. Yeah, it was a great win against Minnesota, but perhaps it was slightly misleading (major "trap" game element for the Vikes). The Bills are fielding a rookie QB with limited weapons after all, and a rookie general on defense. Ups and downs should be expected, especially early on in the process. And with more and more film of the rookie QB becoming available, there may be more downs than ups over the next several weeks.
  12. Nah. Ride or die this season with Allen. This isn't a contending team, so keep the draft picks. If Allen gets hurt, we may be subjected to more NP, and a street FA will be signed, but it will likely result in a better draft position. IMO a team should trade away picks for immediate, "impactful" help at QB only if the team has a shot at conteding.
  13. I haven't heard any talk about what Allen did on Sunday as being "nothing special", or anything like that. It's been closer to the opposite actually (I don't use Twitter, though). If anything, the "negative" talk has been about the idea that the Vikings may have been guilty of looking ahead to their game against probably the best team in football on the road on a short week, after tying a division game the week before, facing possibly the worst team in football with a rookie QB...legit if you ask me. But it's not as if they're downplaying what the Bills did Sunday. It's just that, from a league ramification/importance POV for this year, the Vikings losing this game, the way they did, was a bigger deal/story than the Bills winning was. Any time the much-more inferior team wins a game, most of the chatter is about whether or not we should be concerned about the superior team. But as far as irrational media Bills "hate" goes, I'm still waiting for someone to come out and say, "Oh...so that's why the Bills traded away the QB that took them to the playoffs for the first time this century" (referring to TT's pitiful first half against the Jets on TNF). That was the Bills story that everyone in the national media seemed to criticise the most this past offseason; a lot of "What are the Bills doing" was thrown around. Granted that TNF game was easily his worst as a professional, but it was pretty much a short compilation of what his time in Buffalo consisted of, minus the occasional but not consistent "wow" plays.
  14. Yeah, well the Bills wisely ended their extended preseason 6 quarters ago. Could be that the **Pats are waiting too long...
  15. It would probably result in better tackling and less leading with the crown penalties.
  16. How great is it, that one week we go from "fire everyone and everything Bills", to "Bills likely playoff opponents"?
  17. It was a great game, and incredible start, but I did feel like the game could have been much difderent if not for the PF against Minnesota on the Bills first 3rd down of the game. It would have been 3 and out to start the game. Instead, the penalty extended what would become a very nice drive, capped by a team sparking Superman dive from beyond the 4 yard line.
  18. Except he did a quick little clap right after berating the official...
  19. It's not just about the landing. Its also about your QB potentially getting smoked by another defender before or just after landing. That, and the increased chance of a fumble. That ball was far away from Allen's body for a moment.
