Oh snap, you're right. I guess first play om offense wasn't the time for it, since no one was fooled. -
I don't think we'll ever know exactly what happened, other than what we saw. Bojorquez thought it was a fake, but he was alone ie he was mistaken. That, or it was a fake, and the 10 others blew it. Well his kicking has been top notch so far. As a rookie, he's one of the best punters in the league. Doubt he gets "launched" over this. Do well when you're number is called.

Totally agree with the point being made, but IMO, the timing of that was wrong. At some point in time, the Bills need to take a shot immediately after a turnover. I get keeping the defense honest, but taking a deep shot right after a turnover, while the opponent is reeling, typically yields an increased chance for success on the play. Considering the fact that Allen is young and raw, Daboll should take advantage when given the best opportunity. The flea flicker to start the game, for example, would probably have been a much better call after one of those turnovers. Jmo Edit: again, timing is my point. The very first play probably wasn't the best time to call a FF, even though it was after a turnover. No one as fooled. -

It was. The defender had the benefit of facing the play, whereas Holmes did not. Not only that, but it was a rifle of a pass. The timing of the throw was pretty good, but that's a hard catch for anyone, based on reaction time alone. The ball was "there" right after getting his body turned around. -

Give it up for Marlowe too. He was not a liability out there. I know that sounds bad, but that's what you hope for out of your backups. Oh, and Taron Johnson is good! -

There was some concern in the middle of the 2nd half, but he seemed to wisen up when needed. -

Play calling started to get away from Daboll after the first 2-3 offensive possessions, but it was a good plan going in. Give Allen quixk reads and moving pockets...good way to get Allen in a rhythm and build confidence. Long developing route concepts should be put towards the back of the playbook. -

Shouldn't have come to that. Bills were getting hosed by the officials once again. -

Taron Johnson playing very good ball.

Hope he's alright. You could hear a loud pad pop as he hit the pile, and came out with a limp looking shoulder. Could be as little as a bruise, or as bad as a collar bone. -
NFL Week 5 Betting Lines

That was expected. Vegas needed more money on the Bills. -
McD called him out a bit in his PC on Wednesday, even though he quickly followed that up by saying the same about everyone. On the INT just before the end of the first half against GB, Jones had his hand up. After the ball was picked, Zay showed good hustle to the ball carrier. KB was very close by at the time the ball was picked off, but looked like he was jogging to the ball carrier in comparison. His level of motivation is as bad, if not worse, than Dareus' last year.

Not determined at all...maybe I'm just guilty of over-thinking the situation, or maybe just trying to add another perspective. It was absolutely a poor job by the line, and I agree with your description of how it could have been handled differently by Miller. But I also feel like it was that, plus good work by the opponent; studying film and exploiting a weaknesses. I'm not absolving the players on the line of any responsibility. It's more of a combination of a good strategy by GB and poor play by the line IMO. Bottom line is that the Bills need to do a better job of blocking and picking up blitzers, whether that falls on the players and/or coaches. I think most of us have a good idea of what we have in these guys and the line coach. Either they improve, or the McBeane will need to make moves to improve there.

Hard to disagree with this. But TBH, I like some of what Daboll has done in the passing game, as far as concepts goes, and play calls. Those "passes" to the motioning man pre-snap (one was incorrectly called a fumble...), the heavy swing passes that set up the Croom TD against Minnesota, the QB sneak/dive for a TD...those are classic BB moves. Yeah, we don't have Brady, but it was nice to see some competence out there at times. Unfortunately it's not been consistent enough (understandably so with a rookie QB), and the Packers game was pretty bad. BUT, there were plays against GB where guys were open, but the QB didn't see them or was hurried.
