  1. Why does every positive thread need to be knocked down with someone’s fears of the big bad wolf. Jesus man, enjoy the ride, just a little. And also, believe we can win when we play them. There’s no reason to cling to a loser’s mentality just to try to cope if/when we lose.
  2. Zero chance. Anyone saying something less than two first round picks doesn’t know how good Garrett is.
  3. I simply cannot fathom why Bills fans are so pressed to CUT Bass with zero replacement available. It would make sense if there are any upgrades available. But there are none. So, you would be going from Bass - who has at least been good at one point in his career, to a kicker who has never been good and you would take a $7M dead cap hit to do it. We didn't seem to do this all of the years with EJ Manuel, JP Losman, Trent Edwards, etc.... nobody was clamoring for them to get cut and replaced with free agent who is the 40th best QB in the league. Why are we doing this?
  4. The Vegas line moved from Bills -8 to Bills -9.5 so at least a few smart people don't agree with you.
  5. That will fix everything!
  6. You know you're a bad GM when the Jets fleece you out of 2 firsts and a third for this guy! Who did those two 1sts turn into? Alija Vera Tucker and Garrett Wilson
  7. The 2017 Super Bowl Philadelphia Eagles: Coach: Doug Peterson QB: Nick Foles, after Carson Wentz was injured RB: LeGarette Blount WR: Nelson Agholor, Alshon Jeffery, Torrey Smith TE: Zach Ertz OL: Good, but not as good as they have recently been Defense: One Defensive player with 9.5 sacks, second highest had 5.5. Leading DB had 3 INTs. Are we better than that? Because ... they won the Super Bowl over an incredible Patriots team. This idea that KC is unbeatable unless you have an A++ roster is nonsense. It's the same mentality everyone had during the Patriots era and the Giants did it twice, the Eagles did it, the Seahawks nearly did it. Shoot, we nearly did it vs KC in the 13 seconds game then botched it. We nearly did it last year too. You just need to get to the dance and have the ball bounce your way.
  8. We've all been around the team long enough to know where Cole Bishop is. He's in the same place Dorian Williams was his rookie year. He's in the same place Terrel Bernard was his rookie year. He's in the same place Lewis Cine is right now, another guy with arguably more upside than Damar Hamlin. The "back middle" of McDermott's Nickel defense is incredibly complex and variable. Linebackers and Safeties always take time to develop in this defensive system and generally speaking, Safeties under McDermott usually turn out great in year 2+. So, where is he? He's currently lost in coverage, as we saw with the Nico Collins play. However, he'll learn, and he'll probably be fine.
  9. Oh heavens, not my $2.2M gtd receiver to make way for an $800K Amari Cooper. Brandon, how could you! ::clutches pearls::
  10. It's actually better. Diggs and a 3rd ... and not tethered to his $25M/yr contract for the next several years. For Cooper, a 2nd, no dead cap, and a potential comp pick in 2026.
  11. I feel bad for Raiders fans. This is 100% attributable to having a cheap owner who prioritized another team taking the salary off his books instead of just paying it and getting a better asset. Terrible long term thinking. Terrible ownership.
  12. It was incompetent enough that the league office should look at it and won’t.
  13. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to do this. Thank you. Short summary - we lose Milano, Oliver, Knox, and Von and get ... zero cap relief. Brilliant plan from the OP!
  14. He’s cheap this year and next year before going up to $17M/yr in year 3. But it’s ok, they can get out of the contract next year for only a $20M dead cap hit or the following year for a $17M dead cap hit. So…. yeah it’s not “affordable” nor cheap. There’s no lipstick to put on this deal to make it look good. Unless you just HAD to emotionally have him back and can’t grip that he’s gone, it’s a bad deal. We all liked Gabe. Put your personal feelings aside.
  15. A few thoughts, because I’m surprised by the negative reaction toward me or anybody else who is simply remarking that Gabe Davis was grossly overpaid: 1) I’m glad Gabe got paid elsewhere. I like him and am rooting for him. 2) Saying it is somehow Trevor Lawrence’s fault that Gabe dropped two easy passes is insane. 3) Samuel has not been a good signing yet. What does that have to do with Gabe Davis? Objectively, Gabe Davis has been bad and overpaid. It’s ok to say that objectively without being emotional about it. Some people cried when Gabe left. Some didn’t. Some people are apparently still crying. Wipe away the tears and open your eyes. Be happy that he got paid and be happier that we didn’t pay him.
  16. Samuel signed for 3 years, $24M. Im not good at math, is that more or less than 3 years, $39M?
  17. 12 receptions on 25 targets so far this season for 159 yards and 0 TD. 3 year $39M contract. Incredible that Josh made him look like a legit #2 WR for so many years.
  18. Fantastic job OP, thank you. My one question is -- how confident are you on the unforced QB errors that the WR had enough separation to make a play without risking a turnover? I assume all of them, but we have heard the past 48 hours that WRs were not getting separation on the outside. Is this a false statement?
  19. This post is consistent with the other fair weather, crybaby fans I’ve seen festering in our fan base lately. I don’t know what happened. When we win 3 in a row it’s SUPER BOWL and if we lose a game it’s I QUIT THIS TEAM. I used to be so proud of our fans. What the hell happened to us.
  20. It seems you missed my point. Nearly all of the teams that I mentioned won the Super Bowl.
  21. Much appreciated man, thank you! Great point about all the rookies. Nice to see them get some run. Solomon did indeed look good!
  22. If you’re 36, you watched the Giants catch fire in the playoffs and beat an undefeated Pats team. You watched the Ravens win a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer. You watched Colin Kaepernick make it to the Super Bowl and almost win. You saw a Nick Foles led eagles team beat the Patriots. The point is, if you make it to the playoffs, you have a shot. 3-4 wins and you win the whole thing. If you’re afraid of the Ravens and 1-4 Bengals, ok. I’m not.
  23. Sooo… some of you are not understanding the assignment in this thread 😂
  24. Brutal loss. Please post your silver linings here… there are some good ones. 1. The AFC East is a dumpster fire. The Bills are still a full game up on the rest of the division and the Fins, Jets, and Patriots all look like sub-500 teams. 2. Dwayne Carter has been shining as a rookie. Keon Coleman is TBD but at minimum, seems like he can turn into a good role player. 3. Bernard is back. Taron will be back soon. Von will be back soon. Oliver will probably be back soon. Shakir will probably be back soon. Milano will be back for playoffs. 4. We have a ton of draft capital and cap space to make a move this season or next. 3 point loss to a tough team in which we were down 20-3 on the road. Things will get better.
  25. Carter looked great. I’m not sure what you’re expecting out of a rookie WR, but a 49 yard touchdown is not terrible…
