  1. I’m sorry, people are disappointed? We won our first playoff game in 25 years.
  2. It's insane to think the Texans would trade him. In what world do you trade your young, all-pro QB in his prime? There's no price for that. All because he was slightly upset with the GM hire? Get out of here.
  3. Interesting that we're saying this now, as he was primarily a power-size combo guy in college. Most people said he would be a bull rush technician, but now he's a speed guy. If he can put it all together, man.
  4. Shocker that he jumped at the opportunity to be in a movie. The guy is a complete slimeball and I’m shocked he stayed around for so long. On a related note... crazy that we had media leaks in our front office for two decades until Ol’ Russ left. 🤔
  5. Here’s the reason we don’t want to play the Ravens: 1. They have playmakers on offense and defense and could turn in enough big plays to beat ANY team. That’s it. Of course the Bills are better. However, the Ravens have a ton of talent and could pop to beat any team. Nobody should fear them, but let’s be realistic.
  6. I only see two options: 1) Keep Knox as the primary TE and develop him. He has 2 years left on his cheap rookie deal. Use the money elsewhere... he's good enough. 2) Sign Zach Ertz. I'm almost certain the Eagles will use their out-clause on him because they have Goedert and Ertz isn't worth $12.5M/yr to them. He has a TON of talent. He's 6'5 250 with 4.7 speed. Most importantly, he's coming off a down year because the Eagles don't know how to use him. I firmly believe Josh would turn him into a perennial all-pro. Drafting a TE is a bad idea. We already have young talent. Signing any other TE is a bad idea because they wouldn't be a good enough upgrade over Knox to justify the expense. Either go cheap with Knox or go expensive and lock in a game changing reclamation project, which we know Beane loves.
  7. Am I the only person that thinks he will almost certainly be back? He walked off the field under his own power and seemed fine. The "week to week" thing is just McDermott hedging and not giving opponents any more information than they need. I doubt he would miss the opportunity to play unless he's seriously hurt.
  8. The problem is with his brain, not his shoulder. All season we've seen him take bad angles on runs and miss open field tackles. He's a tremendous athlete but not a great football player. My ideal situation is trading him to a team that likes his "upside" next year and replacing him immediately.
  9. Interesting idea, but wrong guy. Mel Kiper Jr. is a TV personality... nothing more, nothing less. There are dozens of legitimate talent evaluators I would pick before him, who have some fame. Chris Simms is the guy who comes to mind. He said “Buffalo is going to build a statue for Josh Allen some day” ... do you remember that? He wasn’t just high on Allen, he was banging the drum. When everybody else jumped off the bandwagon, he stayed on as well. Not sure if I would take him in the front office, but at least he was an NFL QB and took a hard stance on Allen.
  10. -Bills win the division. -#2 seed loses, making Bills the new #2 seed. -Patriots eliminated from playoffs. -Jets spoil their chances for a (likely) generational talent at QB. -Bills team looks incredible in a convincing win. -QB looks like an all-pro. -QB, WR, CB, LB, KR all named to pro bowl. Breaking the drought was a great day... but this has me on another level. This feels like the dawn after a long, long night. LETS GO!!!
  11. I never understood what people saw in Kyle Orton. He was 32 years old and was complete garbage his entire career. I was more excited about JP Losman, EJ Manuel and Trent Edwards. At least they were young.
  12. We drafted a rookie QB in the 5th round to be backup. He hasn't played a single snap and you're already done with him? I think maybe we shouldn't use another late round pick on a backup QB, but that's just me.
  13. Allen is a great QB. Mahomes is a great QB. Rodgers is a great QB. Just enjoy it, guys. The other two guys have at least one Super Bowl trophy. Any other bickering isn’t necessary. Throw the stats out. Josh doesn’t even have a playoff win yet. Get excited, be happy, pace yourself.
  14. These might be the least funny captions of all time.
  15. Silver lining if Daboll leaves: we can probably get any offense coordinator we want. O-Coordinators would kill to work with Josh and our offense.
  16. Two things I care about: 1) Win the division 2) Have a better record than everyone else We now have the uncontested #3 seed and we're closing in on the #2 seed. We need to win and Steelers to lose. Cleveland losing simply eliminates another team from contesting that #2 spot.
  17. Pause. The quarterback of the Buffalo Bills is currently 4th in MVP odds. He is 24 years old. Open your favorite bottle of Budweiser light and drink it.
  18. Here are the reasons we don't run for more yards: 1) We don't run the ball frequently. When we commit to the run, we rush for more yards (Patriots and Chargers games, 190 yards and 173 yards each). 2) Our O-Line doesn't open up good running lanes frequently. 3) Moss and Singletary are good but not great. Only a GREAT running back would make a difference. If running backs are getting hit behind the line and still making guys miss, LeGarrette Blount doesn't help you at all. Also ... he's 34 years old and hasn't played football in two years. In his most recent season (2018) he averaged 2.7 yards per carry. Simply put, this is a bad take.
  19. Enjoy it! Worth the wait.
  20. I love the effort you put into this thread, thank you for that. On the other hand, taking still frames of "open" receivers on any given play will always make a QB look bad. It doesn't matter if he's Drew Brees or Tom Brady, every QB misses open WRs on the 3rd, 4th, or 5th option on almost every play. We don't know which order Josh was told to look to on each play, so you might be pointing out open guys who are the 4th or 5th option, with a ton of pressure on him. I admire the effort, but the only way to actually analyze QB's ability to read coverage is to capture live film and watch the QB's head to see if he's reading his progressions but missing open guys. Still frames will never tell that story.
  21. Great post and I'm sure there will be "extremists" flaming you to death, but you're right. This is why it was a good idea not to make a trade at the deadline, despite those same people screaming for it. This year the goal is the Super Bowl, but the realistic expectation is Playoffs with a hopeful first round win. Next year, the goal and expectation is Super Bowl. We need all the ammo we can get for that. And for the "You Are What Your Record Is" folks, do you think the Steelers are one of the top 6 teams of all time? The objective way to look at a team is DVOA and we are slightly above average there as well.
  22. The media has been super annoying, but Tua is a first round rookie from a big college program and had a ton of hype coming in. He hasn’t been good, but he hasn’t been terrible, so the NFL will try to work their storyline within a big market (Miami). Allen was a “high bust potential” prospect from a small market college team going into a small market NFL team, so they didn’t care. None of this is surprising, so don’t let it get to you. I’m happy to see him fail and that’s all I care about.
  23. I pay for Sunday Ticket in NYC ... and I will be streaming Red Zone. These games are dookie.
  24. I'm with you. The one thing that matters most in a punter is consistency. You don't need him booming 70 yarders... you need accuracy and consistency. When's the last time you've seen Bojo kick one that angles out of bounds at the 1 or 2 yard line? When's the last time you've seen Bojo kick one that lands at the 5 yard line and takes a huge bounce up in the air to allow for a great ST play? He has a big leg, so everyone thinks he's good, but he's bad at the two things that matter most -- accuracy and consistency. There's a reason we looked at so many punters in the offseason. We need a new one.
