Is this finally the year we make a big push for offense?
Rigotz replied to whorlnut's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Marvin Lewis led Bengals never did what we did LAST YEAR. Josh Allen has been a great QB for 1.5 seasons. Last year was AFC Championship. This year isn't over yet. Go to time out for a few weeks and sit on your hands with these other fans who can't handle a little adversity. -

How do we go from AFC Championship last year, to this loser mentality? It's unbelievable. You guys expect Super Bowl every single year? Beane* and McDermott* turned us from a team that didn't make the playoffs in 20+ years to a team that makes it consistently AND wins. Good LORD where did all these depressed, ungrateful fans come from?- 110 replies

Wow, really incredible analysis here. McDermott doesn't have hair and is similar to [insert bad coach] because [reason why you're sad].

Dane was solid. Makes me feel great about our CB situation long term. Maybe Corner isn't a dire need in rounds 1 and 2 of next year... a lot of us, including me, have been wrong on that one. If that's the case, I would feel great about: 1st Round: Guard/Center/1-Tech DT 2nd Round: Guard/Center/1-Tech DT 3rd Round: Guard/Center/1-Tech DT Get a nice vet RB in free agency and maybe a WR as well. Not a lot of tinkering needed if the CB situation is settled after Tre gets back.

If we lose, the season is likely over. So no. We shouldn't sit our franchise QB in a year where there are no dominant AFC teams.

This is the silver lining to everything. I don't think we have the right O-Line to win the Super Bowl this year, but we'll fix it and will be competitive for a very long time.

In a 10-14 game you can't do this: - Fumble a handoff on 1st and 10 at the Opponent's 29 yard line, with the wind at your back. - Go from 1st and goal at the Opponent's 6 yard line to 4th and 14 with the game on the line. - Miss a 33 yard field goal. - Drop several easy first downs. - Drop touchdowns. That's why we lost. Not because Bill Belichick is a genius. Not because we are a worse team than the Patriots. We shot ourselves in the foot in a game where the weather favored the Patriots style of play. Simple as that.

Tampa considering releasing Antonio Brown
Rigotz replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
They have already proven that they don't care about character by signing him. The guy is an absolute scumbag and continues to be. Saying you're "considering" releasing him is worse than doing nothing because you're clearly pretending to care. -

Potential for Spenser Brown move? (to LT?)
Rigotz replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
We are paying Dawkins $12M-$13M/yr and paying Williams $10M/yr. Your dream is paying $23M/yr on guards who are actually tackles? -
Potential for Spenser Brown move? (to LT?)
Rigotz replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is a wild thought, but maybe we keep our franchise Left Tackle at Left Tackle and keep our solid rookie Right Tackle at Right Tackle? Dawkins is having a bad year, but he had a very bad case of covid and has absolute garbage at Guard next to him. Do we really think he sucks all of a sudden? Like he went from being above average for several years to sucking so bad that we have to change his position? Stop it. -
All-22 Grades for Bills/Colts (The Athletic)
Rigotz replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would love to see the Bills draft a great 1-Tech to groom behind Star. Star has been great (contrary to popular opinion these past few years), but his availability has been an issue and that won't get better as he turns 33 next season. -

"IF WE DON'T WIN THE SUPERBOWL IT IS BRANDON BEANE'S FAULT!!!! HE DID NOT GET EVERY DRAFT PICK RIGHT!!!" Do you hear yourself? Good lord. Beane and McDermott turned this team into a playoff team every year and super bowl contender and you're STILL not satisfied? Every GM gets picks wrong.... is this a joke?

When you say "this year" you're referring to the first week of the season, when the entire o-line was a mess, and the Jags game, when the entire o-line was a mess? VS an entire year of above-average production last year? Yeah def, lets start a guy cut by two teams this year over him.

It's incredible how quickly people forget how well Darryl Williams played at RT last year. Bobby Hart is a dumpster fire at RT and an emergency-use only player. There is zero chance we play Bobby Hart over Darryl Williams at RT this week.

Is this really a surprise? They were the best team in the league for 20 years, which means they have a ton of (bandwagon) fans all over the country. Of course they're going to get a ton of press if they're even semi-relevant. Patriots stories sell.

Baker Mayfield. That's the comp I see. Fantastic rookie year. A lot of people expected a great rookie season from both players because they both played in "pro-ready" offenses and weren't asked to do a lot. I think what we're seeing is much closer to Mac's ceiling than Pats fans would like to admit. He'll be a great game manager and get them barely in the playoffs or barely outside the playoffs year after year.... like a Kirk Cousins. That's exactly what you hope for in a division rival, because it never gives them a chance to get a superstar QB like the one we have.

He's under contract next year.... $7.6M for a guy who was named to the All-Pro team last season. You guys are crazy.

Unexpected Studs: Levi Wallace Spencer Brown Greg Rousseau Nobody thought Brown and Rousseau would be this impactful in their first year. Levi has been quietly fantastic. (A lot of people saw Knox, Poyer, etc coming) Unexpected Duds: Cody Ford Matt Haack Zach Moss We expected Ford and Haack to be bad, but not this terrible. I was hoping Moss would take a step this year. Instead, he's looking as average as Singletary.

I would highly suggest not getting in your own head about the #1 seed. A reasonable hope would be that they find their stride by playoff time, win most of their games, and stay healthy. Just enjoy the games. One loss isn't the end of the world. One win doesn't make them super bowl winners. It's a long season...

Hot take, this trade destination is absolute best case scenario: - The Rams already have 3 great WR. Van Jefferson is underrated. Kupp and Woods are great. - The Rams play in the NFC, so the only way we see them is the Super Bowl. He's gone from the AFC. - The downside of "how do we get the ball to Odell" might cancel out the marginal increase of Odell over Jefferson in 3-wide sets. - Locker room cancer for potentially our greatest Super Bowl threat. I love it.
