  1. 9-2 going into the Bye in a “rebuilding year.” Tons of draft assets in the upcoming draft. Young core of players at key positions. Josh cementing himself as a top 1-3 QB. Did this year finally kill the “window is closed” talking point? I never hear that kind of talk about the Chiefs or even the Ravens or Bengals. Is it finally dead for the Bills?
  2. Jonathan Ogden 6'9" 345 and moved like a Tight End. He would completely erase elite pass rushers and was a battering ram in the run game. Despite being humungous, was nearly always healthy as well. 9-time All Pro. First ballot hall of famer. 😳
  3. He's going to get $20M-$25M because he's significantly better than what you think he is. Bookmark this post.
  4. If you think Rousseau is a jag, you don't know ball.
  5. Bills currently have one open spot on their roster
  6. Anybody in this thread doubting whether we should bring him back for $1M'ish either has a very short memory or doesn't know ball. When the Bills lost to the Chiefs in the playoffs last year, wouldn't you have loved quality LB depth to call up from the Practice Squad rather than singing AJ Klein fresh off his couch? Bernard, Milano, and Spector all have significant injury concerns. There is no reason not to sign Dodson if he's available for cheap.
  7. Lamar is +200 odds to win MVP Josh is +300 to win If Bills have a better record and they continue at this pace, voters will be looking to give Josh his 1st rather than Lamar his 3rd.
  8. To be clear, I wrote a 1st+, meaning more than a 1st. The Browns needs a full rebuild. They're screwed against the cap because of the Watson trade and everyone knows it. Deshaun Watson is due $73M fully guaranteed both next year and the following year. Time to tear it down before Garrett asks out. I could think of a few options we can afford that would probably get it done: -Next year's 1st and Vikings 2nd, plus a 2026 1st. That leaves us with a 2nd, 3rd, multiple 4ths, etc. this coming draft. -Groot and a 1st or 2nd. Sounds crazy, but you have to pay him $20M+ in the very near future. -Elam, next year's 1st and 2nd, and more. (Maybe they take a flyer to appease their fans letting a superstar go).
  9. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/nfl/article-14043671/Detroit-Lions-NFL-trade-deadline-Aidan-Hutchinson-ZaDarius-Smith.html ZaDarius Smith traded to the Lions for cheap moments ago. Lions give up a 5th in 2025 and 6th in 2026 Browns give up a 7th in 2025 and ZaDarius Smith 5 sacks in 8 games and good against the run. A solid veteran DE for cheap. Browns are selling. Now is the time to offer a 1st+ for Miles Garrett. A game changing Defensive End that puts us over the top.
  10. The draft looks like an A++ if you re-arrange two guys: Round 1 - Benford - impact Cornerback Round 2 - Cook - impact RB Round 3 - Bernard - team captain Round 5 - Shakir - reliable slot weapon Round 6 - Elam - great depth and raw talent Round 7 - Spector - solid LB depth Either way, fantastic draft
  11. For those making fun of DVOA, it's not a complicated stat and is commonly referenced. It just means your defensive ranking when you account for the competition you played against. For example, if you got crushed by the Ravens on the ground, it's ok, everybody did. The problem is it doesn't account for game script and that's why Bills run DVOA is good. We put teams in negative game scripts and made them pass a lot. Hence, making the defensive DVOA score better. *Edit - negative game script means we were winning by a lot and they were trying to catch up*
  12. What is your alternative? 10 seconds left with no time outs ... you probably can't get the 1st without going to OT. So the other option is Hail Mary. Significantly lower probability. It was the right call at the time and turned out to be the right call now.
  13. Honestly, this is just my opinion … looking up at the #1 seed every week makes the season less fun for me. I did that the last 3 years and it makes every loss or Chiefs/Ravens/Bengals win hurt so much more. Why is there no joy in having the 2 or 3 seed? You probably get to rest your starters the last week this year and you get to play what will likely be a very weak team in round 1 in your stadium. Yes, of course the 1 seed is a fantastic advantage, but I personally won’t torment myself with the pursuit of it as a fan this year. Or at least, I’ll try not to.
  14. 1. Completely different players. Mario is a significantly better run defender and is a power rusher, not speed. 2. Von looked great his first year, then got hurt, then suspended 4 games. How can we make this comparison? 3. This season and next season are incomplete. If Von Miller has 2 sacks in the Super Bowl and we win, he was a WAY BETTER signing. Simply put, not fair to ask this question yet.
  15. The real question is ... will one single person give this post a thumbs up?
  16. Wow, this is a great find. I had no idea. Nice work!
  17. Zero reason to extend him mid-season. Let him play the year out on the cheap deal and remember that he counts toward the compensatory pick formula. If someone else offers him a massive contract, we get a 3rd or 4th rounder pack. Let the market dictate his value instead of guessing mid-season. Way too much risk and distraction. Zero upside.
  18. Option 1: Sign him to a team-friendly 1 year or 2 year deal. Zero concerns that he'll play hard and you can get out easy if he regresses OR trade him. Option 2: Let him walk in Free Agency and get a 4th round, maybe 3rd round compensatory draft pick. Either of these options are awesome and honestly, we could use our 1st and/or two 2nds to get a young, cheap WR to replace him if he walks. Next year you'd have Coleman, Shakir, Kincaid, and our 1st round pick... plus the comp pick from Cooper next year. I'm cool with that.
  19. Our expectations of not only winning, but blowing out every team, need to stop. Nevermind the fact that they are blowing out teams. Considering we're paying $30M to a player not on the roster this year, while we shed other veterans salaries and accumulate draft picks, I'd say I'm happy with just wins, winning the division, and then trying to simply win games in the playoffs. I could not care less about style points during regular season.
  20. Did... you see Groot last Sunday?
  21. We have a younger, cheaper version of Hopkins in Coleman. If we added to the WR room again... and we probably won't... the missing skill set is true speed WR. We don't need another guy who wins with strong hands and body control.
  22. Was fully expecting this to be a "WE NEED A NICKNAME" thread. Don't worry .... I'm sure it's coming.
  23. Why does every positive thread need to be knocked down with someone’s fears of the big bad wolf. Jesus man, enjoy the ride, just a little. And also, believe we can win when we play them. There’s no reason to cling to a loser’s mentality just to try to cope if/when we lose.
  24. Zero chance. Anyone saying something less than two first round picks doesn’t know how good Garrett is.
  25. I simply cannot fathom why Bills fans are so pressed to CUT Bass with zero replacement available. It would make sense if there are any upgrades available. But there are none. So, you would be going from Bass - who has at least been good at one point in his career, to a kicker who has never been good and you would take a $7M dead cap hit to do it. We didn't seem to do this all of the years with EJ Manuel, JP Losman, Trent Edwards, etc.... nobody was clamoring for them to get cut and replaced with free agent who is the 40th best QB in the league. Why are we doing this?
