Jets to have a "home" game in London next season
Rigotz replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
This was the closest they could get to strapping Woody Johnson to a rocket and sending him to the moon. -
Fantastic find! This is legit exciting!

Unbelievable. We could have had TOM BRADY in the 6th round of the 2000 draft instead of Sammy Morris. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? CAN YOU???

Sorry to be that guy but Jefferson and Lamb make $34M and $35M/yr. Chase is gonna make $35M easy. $25M would be the 11th highest, so maybe that's right for Tee. Hendrickson makes $18M, but is a UFA after next year... so he'll get a huge bump as well. Let's call it $25M. Don't forget about that disgusting Orlando Brown contract that will cost them $15.5M to get out of: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/25182/orlando-brown-jr I'm not a big "window is closed" guy when you have a Franchise QB, but things will be a lot tougher with $160M tied up in those 5 players. The full cap is $255M.

I started doing some research, expecting Lou Anarumo to run a different defense from McDermott, which in my opinion would remove him out as a contender for future DC. To my surprise, not only is Lou's defense shockingly similar to McDermott's, he ran base Nickel defense at one of the highest rates in the league this year. We might have a legit contender for DC here.... https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2024/12/9/24315148/dallas-cowboys-scouting-report-bengals-defensive-scheme-trey-hendrickon-lou-anarumo-zac-taylor#:~:text=Players often hold hybrid roles, too does the overall product.

How much d*ck did Ty Dunne have to s*ck to get back in the good graces of McDermott & the Bills after his hit piece???
-
I'm not sure what you were expecting out of a rookie, but he's having a pretty decent season. He's #8 overall for rookie receivers in yards despite only playing in 13 games. What is the benefit of writing him off and being "forever baffled" at this point? So you can throw in a "told you so" if you're right? People said the same things about Josh Allen when we drafted him and even did the "told you so, wrong Josh" for about a year after that. It benefits nobody. Why are you like this?
-
Seeing the Ravens get 9 Pro Bowlers (League High) and Bills get 2 must be making Ravens fans heads spin. How will they justify this as a reason Lamar is so much better than Allen, despite the worse record?

McDermott said the plan was to rotate Dorian and Specter because Dorian's elbow was not 100% and they didn't want to push it. The more honest answer is "we can take the Patriots down with our B squad, so don't push it." Nearly backfired!
-
This sucks, but is the correct answer. The NFL would never knowingly allow the Bills to rest their starters and get terrible ratings on a prime weekend game.
-
I think this is why they drafted him. He seems to be in the right place very often and has great physical tools, but ball awareness is bad and the game feels fast for him. Honestly... I don't blame Beane and the coaching staff for taking a shot at his physical traits and believing they can develop him into a great Zone corner because your face is toward the QB more often. Some guys just don't have "it" and never will. Hopefully they can flip him for a late round pick to a team thinking they can fix him as well.

Bills to debut a new uniform combo - red on white
Rigotz replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
This was my first thought. Not sure if we're trolling, but this kiiiiinda feels like "Bills are the new Patriots" wink and nod to the fans. -
McDermott deserves praise for JA’s career year
Rigotz replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, McDermott, the offensive mastermind is the reason our O-Line is better than ever and Josh is playing great. Not Joe Brady, not Brandon Beane, not the world class position coaches like Aaron Kromer, not the players themselves, the head coach and his zero years of experience coaching offense did this. -
Two mins left in the half. Missed field goal on the 6 yard line. Lions drive starts at the 20?? What??
-
Clock Management Specialist, Rules Specialist, Challenge Specialist, Offensive Coordinator who calls all the plays, Defensive Coordinator who calls all the plays, end of game "dont F it up" specialist. If we get all of this right, McDermott will be in position to be an incredible Head Coach.

It's a huge development for the team. You can also tell his mechanics are right again. The kicks look pure and there's very little slice in either direction.

Aggregate statistics are for losers. The Bengals might be leading the NFL in passing, but they lost 16-10 to the Patriots. Scored 17 against the Giants, 17 against the Eagles, 21 against the Browns. Several games were a shootout against good teams... of which they lost nearly all of them. Those shootout games lend themselves to huge QB statistic games and passing game scripts, which equal sacks. Boom. There's your answer. A non-playoff team with great aggregate statistics.

McD will be the scapegoat to hide the real issue this week
Rigotz replied to Cray51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t know how anyone could blame the defensive coordinator for operating poorly out of a base Nickel, zone scheme that is clearly ineffective against elite offenses. How do you allow McDermott to wash away any guilt and pin it on the coordinator? -
There are a lot of problems this Rams game. Josh is pressing. The Rams are making insane plays every third down. Rasul is getting cooked. Epenesa is getting cooked. The DL is invisible. Personally, this doesn’t make me love or hate McDermott. My issues are his performance in the playoffs, to which I’d just say: We’ll see.

When you give up a touchdown on every drive, you get the ball back a lot.

Ravens or Chargers tonight? Consider the playoffs

Ravens or Chargers tonight? Consider the playoffs
Rigotz replied to Billyhouseman's topic in The Stadium Wall
It becomes clear when you look at the remaining schedules. Tough games in bold. Chargers at 7-3 remaining schedule: - Ravens - Falcons - Chiefs - Bucs - Broncos - Pats - Raiders Ravens at 7-4 remaining schedule: - Chargers - Eagles - Giants - Steelers - Texans - Browns Steelers at 8-2 remaining schedule: - Bengals - Browns - Eagles - Ravens - Chiefs - Bengals Chiefs are 10-1 and have a very easy remaining schedule. Chargers aint catching the Chiefs, so that puts them in Wild Card along with one of the Ravens and Steelers. Thankfully, both the Ravens and Steelers have a tough remaining schedule and play each other. If we're aiming for the 1 or 2 seed, we should all be rooting for the Chargers. -
Wait a sec ... IS THIS YOU??? LOL

Worth noting, Hamlin is a Free Agent after this year. I'd love to see them upgrade the spot. FS is so cheap these days and you can get a nice one in Free Agency.
