Before anybody else says it, let me go on record. In honor of Bills MAFIA, I give you the new name of the Bosa fan club. La Bosa Nostra. -

Love that it’s a 1 year deal. Hate that he’s never healthy and hasn’t had a good full year in a very long time. -

"I want to play for a contender" The BIGGEST LIE in pro sports?
Rigotz replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is impossible to prove. However, be honest ... have you heard the words "I took less money to play for a contender" mentioned by a player in free agency? I have. A lot. You can also look at players like Tom Brady, Josh Allen, and Pat Mahomes prioritizing the team over themselves in signing team-friendly deals. If they demanded fully guaranteed contracts like Deshaun Watson, they would get it because that's what they're worth. -
"I want to play for a contender" The BIGGEST LIE in pro sports?
Rigotz replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can't apply this logic to all players. It's just untrue. These are some of the most competitive people on the planet. You think they don't care about winning? Sure, they want to get paid. Many of them also take lower pay to play for a contender. We've seen countless examples in Free Agency. The one thing all of your examples have in common is they were currently under contract. They weren't free agents, so they could not choose who they go to. If you said "some players care a lot more about money than winning" you'd be a lot more accurate. -
DK Metcalf traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers
Rigotz replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good point. He def should have tried to add an outside WR last year. Someone with very consistent production and pro bowl appearances. I would have even given up a 3rd round pick for him. And bonus points if his last name rhymes with Pooper. -
Greg Rousseau Extended (4 years / 80M / 54M Guaranteed)
Rigotz replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
We obviously have different opinions on his potential. I haven’t written his pass rush ability off as a 24 year old still learning the position and growing into his body. You have. Which one of us do you think is being logical? -
Greg Rousseau Extended (4 years / 80M / 54M Guaranteed)
Rigotz replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe you’ve forgotten that he only played one full season of college football and is 24 years old. He’s already an elite run defender, he’s a decent pass rusher, and he has had elite moments. Not to mention, he has never had strong talent around him other than maybe Ed Oliver and 0.5 seasons of an older Von Miller. Acting like this caps our team in some way is just a loser mentality. You have no idea what he’s capable of in the future and he has shown plenty of signs of big potential. -

WAY less expensive than what I was expecting! I thought $25M/yr at least. Beane back in his bag. Groot is going to flourish with a legit DE and 1-Tech alongside him, paired with Oliver. The future of this D-Line is bright. Give me 2 more pieces. -
Honestly, I feel like he was the best punter we've had since Moorman. Think back to the last 10 years ... who was better? Matt Haack? Corey Bojorquez? Colton Schmidt? Shawn Powell? He had a few beautiful punts last year inside the 5 yard line and some boomers too. It was a money thing. Correct move, but he wasn't a bad punter.

In these situations, you have to ask “why would the Commanders, a team with tons of cap space, great offensive talent, and no defensive talent, let this guy walk?” Something doesn’t sit right with me on this. I wouldn’t touch him.

1. Other than Josh Allen, my favorite player to watch. Many would agree. 2. With the cap going up, an AVERAGE #2 WR will cost $15M/Yr. Think about Gabe Davis’s $13M/Yr. Over the years, this deal will look better and better. 3. Supremely high character guy, clutch, and dependable. 10/10 extension. A+.

Free Agents we like for the 2025 Bills?
Rigotz replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Am I the only person not clamoring for a Wide Receiver? Wide Receiver is not the reason we lost to the Chiefs. We could draft a fast guy and get a veteran for cheap. The $30M/YR contract needs to go to D-Line. Hell, I'd even take a safety and corner with that money. -
Kurt warner Breaks Down "Greatest Show on Turf" Offense

Very kind of him to break down film from his glory days. -
Good idea for the poll, but not a fan of how you phrased it. I think it's a good idea to trade for an elite Defensive End based on where the team is at. I'm sure many agree. Do I think it will destroy us if we draft D-Line in rounds 1+2 and also get a solid veteran Free Agent as well? No. Adding the "or bust" thing makes it seem like the season is lost if we don't do one specific thing. That's never a good mentality to have at any position. Same as the "we need an elite WR" thing last year ... they're not easy to come by and you can always find other ways to win.

What draft grade did you have on Terrel Bernard after his rookie year?

For anyone wondering "who is Jim Monos" ... he was director of player personnel for the Bills for 4 years during what I call the "Russ Brandon and Rex Ryan" years. After that he lasted 6 months as director of player personnel for an Alliance of American Football League team. Then he became an Uber driver. Yes, I'm serious: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jim-monos-024a15187/details/experience/

Respectfully, I don't think that's how void years work. They count toward your cap whether the player is on the roster or not. Also, I don't care if they actually have to pay him, I care about the cap penalty they incur, which is brutal.

Personally, I factor 3 things into "worst Bills player" 1) What was the investment made in them? 2) How did they play while on the Bills? 3) Did they have any success for another team? I'm seeing a lot of "Maybin" and "Peterman" answers. Maybin had some success on the Jets and Peterman at least was in the league for a while... and was a 5th round pick. To me, there's only one answer: Mike Williams of the 2002 draft. #4 overall pick. Terrible for 3.5 years before the Bills gave up on him. No other team gave him another chance for 4 full years after that. Then played half a season (terribly) at a different position for one team. Then done. That's pretty unprecedented. #4 overall pick to nobody willing to give him a shot, he was so bad.

"Informed they are will be moving in another direction" I.e. "please trade with us before we release him" LOL good luck with that. Also ... LOOK AT THE VOID YEARS ON HIS CONTRACT!! https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/3745/aaron-rodgers The Jets are going to have to pay him $21M the next 2 years to NOT be on the team... and THEN $14M ... and THEN $7M. 4 more years of commitment.
